The House in Fata Morgana is at it's heart, about a love that lasted only for a month, but continued until eternity. Yes I know how cheesy that sounds, but the miracle of this story is it makes the player believe it on a emotional level.
The House of Fata Morgana is very smartly written, and how Novectacle unfolds the plot layer by layer with every subsequent story is amazing. Just when you think you reached the bottom, you'll realize you passed like 3 more hidden doors along the way.

I've never felt so emotional over fictional characters than the end of door 3. Pure perfection.
U appear in the weirdest of places
31:58 Both their names are supposed to be pronounced the same way, as Michelle. Michel is the french version of Michael, and Michelle is the feminine version of the name. It makes the story even more interesting because when Giselle meets with the WHG she asks her if her name is Michel, and she responds "Yes i'm Michelle", which makes Giselle excited thinking the girl said "Michel". You can also see this in chapter 7 when Didier and George help Michel escape, they call him by his male name, even though they pronounced the same thing, but the text shows the male version hinting at the fact that they acknowledge him as a man
I read this a few years ago but I dropped off in the final chapter. I kinda regret doing that but I never finished it. I think I need to go back and reread it.
Fata morgana along with Umineko are two of my favorite stories of all time. Both are just so beautiful and captivating
10/10 really appreciate this too, I only got halfway into this a few years ago before other things came up. Glad i got to finish it with you
fata morgana is great, gotta read the extra stories one day
Normally I'd be down to get every last bit, but honestly I thought the game as a whole was already a solid tight package.
@@Zyraizo everyone I know who read the prequel one said that it enhanced the experience a lot for them so there's that, but yeah I agree that the Main game was pretty conclusive and it didn't feel like I need more of it. now that I think about it they did release an april fool VN and apparently it's good? forgot what it's called tho but afaik it's well received
@@Zyraizoit’s actually pretty 50 50 if people think the main story or the prequel was better and the April fools story “seventh lair” is actually amazing to hough not quite on the level of the other 2
The side stories in requiem include some of the best moments of the whole series too
The requiem epilogue is honestly my favourite scene of anything ever
A lot of people say that it takes too long for the story to pay off, so i have been avoiding it.
Depends who you ask, i enjoyed the first few doors as standalone stories even before the big payoffs
@@slufffyg503 I got it regardless, I wanted to encourage my reading habit, and will start it soon .
This novel plays a lot with your expectations, the first time you see Michel You don't even suspect he's the main character or that the creepy maid is her loved one. I cared for this characters and i feel fortunate for giving this story a shot without any kind of spoiler, is a must read if you like visual novels ❤
54:10 oh, you have no idea. Jacopo went from the bottom to my absolute favorite character in the series. still a dumbass tho
