Kate Winslet on "Ammonite" and life during COVID

- Kate Winslet has some familiarity with the dangers of viral outbreaks, having starred in the 2011 thriller "Contagion." Now, COVID-19 has affected how the Oscar-winning actress is promoting her latest film, "Ammonite," by eliminating travel. And that, she tells socially-distanced correspondent Mark Phillips, is not a bad thing.

Back before I knew I was gay, at 13, when Titanic came out (and I hadn't yet lol), I remember thinking she was the most beautiful woman in the world. I also remember saying this to people and them telling me she was not even close. Mean much?!
Anyhow, I still stand by what I said 23 years ago. Except, now, I understand that beyond the facade lies the truly beautiful person she is. I know I don't know her, but the energy I get from what see is someone genuinely nice.

She’s had Botox look back and now look. The expressionless forehead....so sad she gave in she has a face I’ve always loved. She was a massive advocate for not messing with the face but I guess she gave in. It’s tough for sown, but I noticed the change in Ammonite having watched her for a good 20 years, you get to know and love a face. Maybe one day we will live in a place where women’s ageing can be accepted. It’s rare to find actresses over 40 who haven’t done something

Words can't describe how much I adore and admire this incredible woman. She, Winona Ryder, Meryl Streep and Olivia Colman are my favorite actresses but there's something extra special about Kate. You even root for her when she's playing sort of an anti-hero type. I've loved her since Titanic and seen pretty much all her movies.
Kate has always been one of my favorite actresses ever since I first saw her in Sense and Sensibility back in the mid 90's.

Kate was great as marketing executive Joanna Hoffman in the movie "Steve Jobs." Her scenes opposite Michael Fassbender (in the title role) were some of the most emotional moments in the film. I never once thought this was the same actress who starred in the epic "Titanic."

You can't always expect promises on if an actor or actress will receive an award or a nomination, there are some celebrities who did masterpiece performances and got Nothing or it took them years to finally receive something for it.
She's gonna win a few awards for Mare of Easttown, that's for sure.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. For big-time Titanic fan like yourself. But technically, Titanic is a disaster movie just like The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno, and Earthquake. In my mind, the decade-defining movie of the 1990s was American Pie.
