it made a horrid mess but proved that this machine was in good mechanical order! Inspired by the best washer technician - PhotonicInduction (YT channel)
@pikuorguk sounds like your drum drive plate is fractured. its why most front loaders are dumped in scrap. the drive plate is aluminum and the wrong washing detergents can attack it pretty fast, causing it to fail
There couldn't have been too much wrong with the drive plate, to withstand all that pounding from being out of balance. I don't think this is the factory recommended fix. There's some debate about the benefits of "Impact maintenance".
Woah, that was epic, at one point it looked like you were trying to control a wild horse, that was a lot of fun, I'm surprised the motor didn't go up in flames.
Another super-funny washer vid! I'll be looking forward to seeing this from the other camera. :-) I take it that you had two cameras on this, like the other washer death vid? There's so many funny bits in this vid, like the washer 'going walkabout', watching it eat a flywheel, & finally when it chomps up the drive belt, squeals like a pig, & has a good ole smoke-out! :-D This washer has a strong motor...Keep it for something else....maybe a spare motor for another washer vid. -BoomBoxDeluxe.
I feel for anyone who just comes across this vid randomly. From it they could determine that Australians take their washing machines for walks, upside down (insert own joke here) and that other Australians have pet car wheels which they carry with them/live under the false impression that a car wheel would save them if said washing machine decided to come at them.
HARD TO KILL POSSESSED WASHING MACHINE. Least you did your washing first before taking the untamed washing machine for a walk around the backyard & the next neighbours must be wondering what is going on in your backyard.😂🤣😅
I'm still hoping that you would tossed a CRT in there, one with the anti implosion band removed, but then again the door is pretty small to do that with. Front loaders are still somewhat rare here on the used market, most old washers you run into are top loaders.
lol I spent about a hour picking up little bits of washer :D Little car was still registered and running around on the road in the hands of her original owner at this point
You have any idea how awesome that would be to walk it down the street and face off with somebody who thinks he's bad ass walking a couple of pit bulls??
That noise it makes at 0:34 (the banging noise) is what my washer did last night, full of clothes on its fast spin cycle :-( Now it feels like the drum is rubbing against something inside.
Get a Candle and Rub it all along the belt, the wax acts as a good way to get real Grip from that slipping belt, Should try hooking this drum up to a Car engine :)
I bet you could rig up something where it spins like that but not in a way where a brick would fly out and fatality a passing car, then get a big battery and actually take it out for a walk.
Did you put your QC passed sticker on it? Drum bearing: Passed. Drum support plate: Passed. Main bearing and seal: Passed. Belt: passed. Motor: Passed. "Ship it"!!!!!!🤣😝😁
LOL too damn funny :) That thing sure took allot of abuse...and just kept going. --- Oh and look at all that 'junk' out there on the patio just awaiting demolition videos .!.
stephen king wrote a book about a demonic car. I think he needs to wrtie one about a possessed washing machine. And then somehow combine it with the Exorcist. Don't forget the split pea soup.
your neighbors must love you.
Best 13 min, of my day, sounded like an old ambulance at the end, which was very fitting for its condition.
I keep a old General Electric top loader, its almost as old as I am and is just bulletproof!
just taking the washer for a walk in the yard

LOL at it humping the air con - love how the motors in these just spool higher and higher once the belt lets go:)
I loved the squeals and screeches of death towards the end. Funny stuff mate haha great video.
Do the neighbours ever mention the noise (or dipping lights)? :)
I put a couple of these in front of my carriage!
@KrankieV2 lol, bit of panel beating on the inner drum and it will spin again:D
I cant stop laughing! Wrangling those old washers in by the cords! Its like herding the cattle, but a washer and an extension cord.
My washing machine is at this speed when there’s only 3-4 minutes left.0:34
amazing that washer went as long as it did
@streeatbeat only Daikin I have is non inverter, its a good oldie.
@Photonicinduction thanks man!, 240 mains is the beefiest power supply I can run at the moment. the little 10A variac would have a melt down :(
@shidoink lol yeh I love the turrets in Portal :D
that goes back to half-life where you could knock them over with explosives

-BoomBoxDeluxe.
Drop it off in front of the door of an appliance repair shop during the night. Attach a note saying "please repair - will return at noon for pick-up".
I'd pay to see that!!
The repair dude: what the heck no I am not fixing it nope im out!
RIP Ed

best vid ever
looks like your takin it for walkies pmsl
that thing will not die
Unlike those LG washers that Westinghouse must have a steel drive plate, I'm impressed that it lasted so long.
This is how your washer gets factory recertified!
after all that beating, it survives for a long time. however if you use it for it purpose, it last no longer than two years.
Haha. 12:05 and out, LOL!!! Thanks for posting such amusing entertainment. :)

No worries, that'll buff out.
What washer you have in house? :D
I'm still hoping that you would tossed a CRT in there, one with the anti implosion band removed, but then again the door is pretty small to do that with. Front loaders are still somewhat rare here on the used market, most old washers you run into are top loaders.

THAT WAS ONE BLOODY GOOD WASHING MACHINE HAHA NICE ONE :D
C'mon washer, let's go for a ride.

@capecodunderground Brads missus
its just a crazy lil washing machine aint it?
I think you need to replace the motor with something a bit faster and stronger - like that 2 hp one you just revamped, and drive it off the VFD
Hmmm, seems a little out of balance LOL It kept tossing parts and never quit!
@DarkZero812 if I had the money I would strap it to a pallet and send it back to Westinghouse :D
@Aussie50 and thats the one i love
Sounds like my washing machine at 11:40......
I bet you could rig up something where it spins like that but not in a way where a brick would fly out and fatality a passing car, then get a big battery and actually take it out for a walk.
Ever play portal? reminds me of when you knock a turret on its side when you tipped it over.
Did you put your QC passed sticker on it? Drum bearing: Passed. Drum support plate: Passed. Main bearing and seal: Passed. Belt: passed. Motor: Passed. "Ship it"!!!!!!🤣😝😁
