They really need to create a small team whose sole job it is to remove any mechanics that prevent soloing once we're 1-2 expansions beyond it being current content. Still have BFA bosses that are impossible solo due to mechanics issues.
Always found it fascinating how quickly they slithered from raids being soloable towards the middle-to-late of next expansion to "the policy is two expansions" to "oh no, two expansions means that raids from expansion X (even X.0) are doable on the very last day of expansion X+2" to "*mumble mumble no comment*"
Blizzard doesnt want the collectors to get bored any faster than the casuals. besides i think it's fine, personally i myself still need to collect for so much content. am working on my level 70 speed sets as we speak.

There are various blue posts and Dev interviews around saying they will be chanigng BfA bosses 'around 10.1.5' Of course, we are in 10.1.5 without those changes, and 10.1.7 doesn't have them on the PTR as far as I know. Arcane mage is broken, (literally) and does enough burst to bypass the mechanics that would prevent soloing.
To solve the issue of having to kill bosses that u cant solo and to make it easier for people to get mog I propose this: The ability to accumulate a currency while running a raid to by a cosmetic version of the item are after. Perhaps u can get the currency by running any raid so u can spam farm a lot in one day if u are missing an item! This currency could be used to trade in a cosmetic version of any item in every raid. It would probably be annoying for blizz to add when they could just make everything solo and make players just farm stuff weekly instead, but I think it would encourage people to do old raids. It also would act as a sort of pity system so if luck doesnt favor u, u can save up to trade it in. Add mounts to it too! And to be extra spicy, make the currency account wide. BUT this will prob never happen lol
Good to know things are somewhat doable, for quests and the like. But it sounds like it's not really worth doing any kind of farming, at the very least until they flip the legacy loot switch.
For the guardian (first boss sepchular) the bigger add with the orb shaped body has a zone around it which reduces dmg taken (can be seen at 5:59 you stand in it and go outside ) which is where you need to stand after that the mob drops the orb you need to take to the big door
i had a feeling that Sanctum was going to be where issues would start arising, by 11.3 maybe we'll be strong enough to bypass all 3 SL raids. it's good to know that Remoria can be farmed through LFR, i also want that Sword.
It is shocking how impactful gear can be. Along with a little knowledge of the mechanics. Inspired by the video, I took my main in to try the jailer. At 445 ilvl, it was pretty easy to solo. Took about 5 minutes though. Only tricky part is that in P1, you need to drop into a hole just before the bomb goes off to make the pillar rise. Then hide behind said pillar to dodge the mind control. I got MCd in P2, but the jailer did me a solid and broke me out after a couple of seconds. (I was Demo Lock, so maybe pets prevented the reset, would need ot test with a petless class) Feels kinda pointless without legacy loot enabled though. Also worth noting: as this is Shadowlands content, your covenant abilities and soulbinds should be active.
I'm sure someone has already said this, but on the vigilant guardian fight, there are three adds in a triangle formation around the room, when the bosses energy reaches 100, the guardian you're closest to drops a safety puddle. You will still take damage and might need to use a defensive, but it should not kill you. Also, on the jailer fight, the bombs that shoot you into the air need to go into one of the holes in the room around 2 seconds before they explode. Yes, you have to jump in the hole. When you do this, pillars will rise from the hole and can be used to line of sight his MC. However, jailer is not soloable because in P2 and I believe in P3 as well he chooses targets to MC and walk towards the edge of the platform. I'm not sure if it's possible for this MC to target both players if only 2 are in the fight, would need to test that, but you would need atleast 2 players because 1 the mc would reset the fight and 2 someone needs to deal damage to you to break this MC.
This is interesting! I think if you'd done these on current content, even just I'm HC, you'd have found this much easier and quicker. Knowing how mechanics work precisely is important in some of these cases. Edit: if you have a third friend who wants to do jailer, I think you only get 2 MCs and the third can break you out
Honestly, the fact that they have never put in another fight as stupid and convoluted as Eonar in Antorus, I can deal with a little difficulty in just killing the bosses
Wait, so we have to go hunt down an NPC for all the old lfr content? Why not just add it as an option when you go to the raid, or in the group finder menu since we already have options for making groups for legacy raids. Just add another tab or something. Having to hunt down an NPC for every old lfr raid is like... 2005 design lol
well i'm sorry, but it IS lazy, i call it how i see it. the LFR NPCs are in locations not far out of the way, but you want them to finagel with the spaghetti code so you can just hit a button on a menu. there's no other word for that BUT lazy.@@Snuzzled

@@20the20 I meant if you didn't raid bacck then :D Most of the time bosses are as simple as kill and loot in the next expansion so why wouldn't you ask yourself if you ould solo it without prior knowledge
the day Time Rifts dropped i checked to see if i could que up and i did but it was a 30min wait for SoD then when i get in theres 25 lv 70s lets just say we sneezed and things fell over xD
As a 442 warlock, I had no issue doing SL LFR. However, the bosses rarely drop any loot beyond Anima, gold, and other junk. So, it's pointless until they adjust loot drop. 422 is too low for SL, imo.
In the first phase, you'll get an orb above your head. Jump into one of the holes in the ground to spawn the pillar. You have only a few seconds to do it, but that's what triggers a pillar to rise from the ground. This mechanic works even as a solo player. Don't jump into the holes with orbs in any other phase though.
but i still have nightmares of queing for the nine every single week since it was released until SL ended, dont make me go back, you cant make me, i wont do it!!!! ok im queing for that wing now

Didn't really have too many issues (as shown in vid), so 422 def wasn't too low! It's also very high for solo/duo folks who don't raid/dungeon.
Jailer is soloable with my hunter ( 435 during PTR ) and used pad ( night fae ) in order to do it
LFR jailer is soloable. you need to hide behind the pillars to prevent mind control.
and how do you hide behind them when there are no pillars? This was the issue we were having. he was doing the MC before the pillars came down.
