Extra tip for treasure farming: Buy the ilvl 252 shoulders from the Enlightened quatermaster. This allows you to look for shrouded treasure chests, effectivlely doubling the number of treasures you see!
To activate those treasures, you need to ask pocopoc to search for interesting things in the world, which is a one hour buff that lets you see these treasure chests. Handynotes Shadowlands has an option to show their location on your map, so you can also create a route based on that.

In my opinion SL has some of the best looking transmog in the game, Revendreth‘s atmosphere was super cool and the dungeons were fun and well done, if there wasn’t such a content drought, if it would have been more alt friendly and had implemented a dungeon rotation, SL could have been a great expansion
Sad for those of us who are lore nerds that its story and basic premise was poisoned from the very start. The premise of exploring the afterlife could virtually never work in wow. They fucked up so badly by doing that that it has borderline made roleplaying in wow unenjoyable for me.

The only thing the expansion had going for it was the visuals, Thats it.

Good video. I more or less Noped out of Shadowlands, got one character to 60 and then just stopped and did nothing else given how horrible it was and I'm a die hard WoW fan. Came back with Dragonflight and would like to collect mogs from Shadowlands but the amount of anima you need for things is absurd. So a method that can collect anima endlessly is extremely useful.
So you just informed us all you didn't agree with the xpac so you quit. The anima wasn't absurd for the people that actually played. Maybe don't quit and complain less. You are lucky someone like Kraken that actually played has a better attitude than you. :)
I have vats of anima, as shadowlands was durning the pandemic i played the shit out of it, found a great guild and did the m+ the raids, i would sell it if i could, my best advice beside zerethmortis is to use the mission table, but there is a catch, to optimize it get only 1 of the main followers level it up to 60 and the troops will get to the avarege level of the main followers as you only have 1, they become 60 after thst you can collect the other followers

A quick way to get a bunch of Transmogs is to buy 4 of the instant 60 renown tokens, then do the quest line relating to your renown. That’ll get you to 80 renown, and unlock several mounts and mog.
You can worry about the anima parts later.
omg, the tip with the vendor to transfer anima, could have saved me 3 days of questing and anima grinding, because you can buy a pact level up to 60 for 500 gold from the same vendor (was doing it for the level 74 pact transmog).

Thank you so much! The little I played of SL I found the anima grind so absurdly slow I thought I was missing a multiplier from a quest or something.
at first it was a grind, then it got much easier in 10.1
Blizzard had the playerbase on a hamster wheel for anima. Terrible terrible design.

Thanks for reminding me about the anima dump in zerith mortis! Ive been going all the way back to the covenant. Just started farming shadowlands a little again.
Appreciate the guide picked up all the path of ascension appearances on my main farming it all out pretty fast in dragon flight thanks to your great guides on anima, grateful souls etc. and some zerith Mortis mounts as a bonus! I found flying around collecting treasures then timed rares would just pop up as I went by and boost the input. And using a Druid was a breeze. The hardest part of path now is farming it all and unlocking it but all worth it in the end!

Farming offerings is also important for the transmog, a lot of pieces cost both anima and offerings

I have 7 alts just parked at mission tables. I reset them once or twice a day. They each generate 1500-2000 anima per week. It's not a fast method by any means, but I'm in no rush either so it's perfect for me. It's the least painful method of farming anima if you don't feel like grinding it.
THIS! And if you are doing the weekly quest a nice 1600 bonus gold each week.
I also speculate (based on testing on alts) that the anima bonus from fully upgrading your sanctum features does not apply to Zereth Mortis activities. We know for sure that the Archivist Codex Treatise bonuses to rep and anima do not apply to Zereth Mortis, and the Renown bonus to anima gains from elite world quests did not initially apply to the Zereth Mortis world boss and had to be hotfixed in later, so it seems that (1) this is a programming oversight, (2) devs did not want players to feel forced to do 9.0 and 9.1 content to maximize gains from 9.2 content, or (3) the tooltip text for the bonuses saying "Shadowlands zones" can be taken at face value, as Zereth Mortis could be seen as a place outside the Shadowlands (although definitely a zone in the Shadowlands expansion).

i found this while grinding for the dark kyrian wings and the treasure hunt is good and lazy. but if u want the fastest way to get anima and have some spare gold and some alts, get 1 toon to 80 renown by doing the campaign and torgast. then send all ur alts the 60 renown tokens x4 doing that gives u 1k anima per covenant so 4k then send that anima via the anima tokens near the flight master. again abit costly for gold but waaaaaaay faster
FYI Zskera Vault Keys are now available from all four renown envoys at the camp sell Vault Keys now. 50 Dragon Isles Supplies each.

Hoarded some 45k anima to get a transmog on my priest. Did all the anima WQ's, cleared the raids on LFR (you don't get more on higher difficulties), these are not that efficient though. Skipped Korthia, really not worth it 'cause you can't fly. Zereth Mortis is indeed the place to be. You kill the rares in couple seconds, and I tested skipping them, made about 50% less anima. One rare gives you at least 100 anima, chest gives you 40 anima at the most. Kept War Mode on, as I noticed I had more competition on rares with it off. Addons used were Handynotes + Handynotes Shadowlands with "show completed" turned on and Silverdragon. Couldn't find a way to config Silverdragon to give a notification when the rares spawned as normal elites (still the same anima), so I just kept an eye out. Also the shoulders mentioned in another comment are not available anymore.
I farm anima by creating dracthyr > joining all covenants & using the broker mark of distinction. Killing the rare frog shimmermaw and looting the connected treasures + vendoring EVERYTHING i make back the gold i spent on the broker marks & get some pocket money out of it. 4k anima in under 35min. (Unless they patched this, i didnt do this recently)
Isn't it a hassle to do the Intro quest for Dracthyr over and over?
@@MrDanielosama it depends on what you like to do! I prefer this over the other popular anima farm in zereth mortis where people with raid rotations down the rares before you have time to get there xD dracthyr leveling is calmer and guaranteed 4k anima. (Edit: they patched dragonflying But with dragon isles pathfinder you can still use normal flying mounts)
I don't understand how you get so much Anima in Zereth Mortis. I can only kill like 4 rares at a time and have to wait a looong time before more spawn.

the buff absolutely works in ZM, i duelbox all my ZM farming and have since current content and without the buff ive never looted more than 7 tokens and with the buff ive looted up to 11 anima tokens. i am interested in your numbers though, because when i do a full lap of the rares i average 9k anima on my main and 6k on my alts and it generally takes me 20ish minutes.
I'm so confused how you guys are hitting 6k when I only hit around 2k.
The Covenant sanctum level definitely matters; mine was level 1 and I never lootes Anima webbings from Rares or chests.

Wanted to do the farm on my druid which i only started in DF but compared to my monk which was my main in SL i see almost no treasures at all.
Has it maybe to do with the little robot pet thing and the progress on its talent tree?

Consider turning on war mode if you don't want the rare competition. Place turned into a ghost town.

Unfortunately it looks like blizzard have dramatically increased the re-spawn time of these treasures Ive just did one lap and have been waiting 30 mins for the ones i hit first to re-spawn and they are still not up
update: well over an hour and still no re-spawn i think they have changed this so you can only loot these chest once a day. its incredible that they will fix this kind of thing yet a bug like the one with the Dusklight razorwing where you collect 10 eggs and you don't get the mount that has been going on for years they cant fix.
2mill / 6400 per hour.... yeah they still need to fix this sheeeet

that's great - i need to go back and farm ton of mogs for SL. Do you have any tip for the 2nd currency? it was so obnoxious in SL that i completely ignored it through the whole expansion
Is there a certain route that is good to follow while getting treasures? I have a hard time finding them and don't know what I am doing wrong.
I still have 433 Traveler's Anima Caches from farming the flail transmogs in ZM. I was going to buy and vendor epic leggings in Ardenweald with them for a big chunk of change, but forgot and then they nerfed the gold value sob

Do chests have stuff for the protoform synthesis? Want to also farm up those mounts and pets! (And sell the extra bits!)
Unfortunately not. The genesis mote farm is the worst.
They don't but if you are getting the weekly quest in the zone, Patterns on Patterns, when you turn that in each week from farming the Elites and Treasures, you can get some of these mats.
I have a couple chars with maxed mission tables so anima isn't that much of a problem. If you have an easy to get offerings and souls though....

Hi, I'm an old returning player. How do I unlock that zone?
I want to get all the mog for all armor types. Do I need to work my way through each of the covenants with each of the armor types to do this? Like my rogue is full reknowned with Kyrian. Once I have all the mog from them, do I switch him to the next convenient and do it all over again with them?
Which would be the minimal gear for a lv 70 character? 385 is the normal dungeon set for example, the heroic is 400+
I farm it easily on a ilvl 385 paladin
Can even solo the world boss on prot spec(granted that one takes like 20 mins)

Yep! There's a vendor next to the flightmaster in Oribos where you can grab your anima in stacks of 1k boa items!

This may sound like a silly question, but being new to the game and with a new fresh 60 character, how do you get to Zenith Mortis? I have scoured the internet looking for it, but I'm not sure what they mean by complete 'Eternity's End'.
Once you complete the 3rd chapter in your covanent, go to Oribus and speak to Bolvar it should be a quest that will lead you to the Maw which will help you unlock Korthia. Complete the 2nd chapter in that and then return to Oribus. Once there, the Primus should be there which will help you unlock Zerith Mortis. I hope this helps.

This odd helpful. I’ve been wanting to unlock more sub, but the anima requirements… made it not worth it as a pretty casual (and committed) player.

In terms of annoyance, I hated farming the lost souls for upgrading the sanctum far more.
@@armagedonbethe souls are the worst. I can effortlessly do about 15 per maw run, but it’s so exhausting.

Hi I just came back after a couple years and I want to unlock flying. I have no rank yet with my covenant and still neutral in rep. I did "skip" to bypass playing through the different zones. What do you think will be the fastest way to unlock flying? Im doing this on a druid and im currently 63 almost 64.
