The bass drum has two internal mufflers (factory-installed) on each side. They are called Pratt Mufflers and are adjustable felt strips that can be engaged and tightened up to your personal preference. You can custom order a bass drum from Gretsch with mufflers on either or both sides.
@@juancarlosbrenes4741 Could be. But I have two gretsch bds and rarely use the internal muffling as they just dampen too much. My gretsch are rbs and the hardware probably isn't as reliable as his brand new drums though. But I'm happy with the PS3 sometimes I add a small hand towel down by the pedal.
Favorite place to sit at shows. So close you can almost see the drummer make decisions before you hear them.

@@wolfereeno The Bass Drum has 2 Pratt Mufflers, there is a video of Mark unpacking a new set and this kit includes those same drums!
