Please tell me that you realize the magnificence of this. It's not simply super-talented, not simply super-innovative, it's beyond perfection. It's divine!
Man, sometimes I feel discouraged trying to chop it up and then I watch this guy play and remember I’ve just been thinking about it all wrong
Same.
it's like the Charles Mingus of drums - to be able to do what you think instantly. And if your splash falls off your tom, a new door opens. Really admire this artist.
Mark es muy grande e inspirador para todos! No hay discusión.
So good to see drummers exploring rhythm again. It’s been a long time
They've always been there, but it is fantastic regardless!
Antonia Sanchez. (actually heard of him yesterday first time because birdman)
Matt Dirty G Garstka
@@HerbalistGuybrush nobody calls him dirty g and that sounds like shi
jk
As a beginner drummer mark represents freedom to me , I learn from listening and watching CZcams and can often get lost in the rabbit hole of CZcams teachers who either say do this and like this or just plain you should get a teacher instead of listening to me, but mark is something different, he is more into that teaching I like but maybe doesn’t dare to like because I feel I’m doing something wrong and that’s the vision that you just need to bang on stuff and experiment around on the kit and you learn on the way, I’m not great but I agree with that, I think a combination of that and really listening to songs closely have teached me a lot of the things I know on the kit now, a great way to teach drumming, just improvise
One of the few willing to make mistakes - that's why he's one of the best.
I’m certain the MG values mistakes because they lead to new directions
AdamW_Parker there are no mistakes, only happy accidents
@pork n beans wish things were plain and simple in life ... nothing is ...
@pork n beans and we have the winner!
@@odaydrums ahhaah. lost soul :D
His creativity is always inspiring. This is one of my favorite performances of his. 🤘❤
One of the most musical guys!
Yusssss a actual drummer that plays with time! What a groovy dude!!
What a performance! So incredibly musical.
You know when someone is breaking down doors when many of the comments are negative and lots of people just don't get it.
DAMN MARK....THAT WAS SO DYNAMICALLY EXCITING AND FUN AS FUK.. THANK YOU RHYTHM BROTHER.
B4 Bowie died he had him on Black Star , listen to that playing it's pure Guillina. They guy is in another area like JoJo but it's like his computer has glitches and is always correcting. The guy is one of a kind. I would live to see JoJo Mayer, this man and Gershon Eisenhauer, play together. It probably create some sort time distortion....
WOOOOOOWW that was awsome ! You told as a very intersting story !!! It was like dinamic action movie Genious Soloing !
That was amazingly artful. Nice!!
My god. This is amazing!
The glasses adjustment at 2:30 is part of every spectacle wearing drummers chops
UAU.
What a good work.
🇨🇩🇦🇴😘
was this the most amazing drum solo ever or am i hallucinating
This video is not suggested for novice drummers. This guy mastered HIS unique craft.
Wowwwwww!!!!!!!! Incredible Drummer!!!!!!!
So fkn cool..u’re crazy man 👏🏼😎
when you have such a deep sense of time that you can make it sound bad on purpose
E x a c t l y
Love that Pandora ride
freakin awesome
The Benny Greb & JoJo Mayer Experiment✌️☮️☯️...
great!!
un jeu hors du commun...
As soon as you see his name you click and like
right! and listen to it at least ten times in a row.
love the shirt
bending the bass drum note with the tuning rod in the coda at 8:50...a true artist.
Мда, эт уже совсем другой уровнь. Браво, Марк!
WHEEW...control...chops....mindful...
Jerseyy in the house
the best for my
Mr great performance 👍💪🤟🔝
Brutall
_I call this one 'my drum teacher had a seizure...'_
I like it!!!
It could be me in a hundred years... hahaha
My goodness!!!!!!
nice deconstruction in time :)
He is insane
still love it!!
Even when the cymbal fell at 1:47 was perfect in time and tune haha
2:07 Cool fill! :)
So cool!
When the bass drum tuning triggered your OCD 8:32
A Drum Nerd!
anyone knows which bass pedal he is using?
Bruhhhhhh 😭
Kick decay sooo lonnng
A genius drummer!!!!
Wonderful performance!!!! Any plans to come to Chicago?
For all those who may think he's slightly off beat, he's not. He's actually switching tempos while maintaining a steady rhythmic pattern throughout those rapid changes. Mark is a fucking drumming machine with feel and dynamics that are sometimes incomprehensible to the untrained ear and closed mind..There's a reason why one of popular music's most important and significant legends of the last 5 decades, (David Bowie a.k.a - The Thin White Duke) got Mark to be the drummer on his final musical master piece, Black Star..Go listen to that album and go and listen to what a human drum machine sounds like..
Excellent comment :)
By the way I love your channel man !!! Awesome true content and true documentary
What ride is he using here?
Some think it's a Sabian Big & Ugly HH Pandora Ride Cymbal
What hi hats?
How’s he fit all those sounds in that tiny kit??😫
he so above our time it sounds off to regular person
Became aware of not blinking nor existing at 4min in
le "very great" a la fin
Jojo Meyer... Ish. They are in the same kind area.
he needs dave weckl to fix his bass drum (kick) sound and maybe then i'll like this stuff
2:54 WTF man. Pozdro666
el estilo de Mark es muy abstracto,a veces me cuesta entenderlo
You can’t tell me he likes his bassdrum sound himself, guy is very gifted but with such gift making your set sound like a bunch of ikea boxes and playing this weird ass solo i will never understand.
This aint drumming this is something that should be a the Moma in New York for all ‘experts’ so say how incredibly good this is
Koen Olsman it’s definitely drumming, I’m not a gigantic fan but he’s pretty creative
I'm curious: what is drumming then?
Ofcourse its just an opinion of a semi pro nobody knows, i really do respect his technique and talent, but for me this kind of playing is just trying to find the weirdest beats instead of music, so lets reframe my initial statement, its drumming but it aint playing music:)
@@koenolsman oh...what is music then?
Something people can get moved by or dance to, this aint either
WUT
He's not just a drummer, he's a percussionist.
?????
Secondo me può accompagnare solo...
it seems like he want to tell us something
Que porcaria é essa veiw
1:24 wtf was that lol
Meh
off time, big time.
ummm...no
Id rather hear Stewart Copeland hit one flam on his snare
I would suggest you listen to that then. It hurt me when I slammed my hand in a car door I quit that so I know
Okay good for you! Just because you aren’t smart enough to understand mark doesn’t mean that the rest of aren’t!
