My son’s 11u team loves the 2019 usssa quatro pro drop 8. The versions after have been hit or miss with durability.
I always swung an Easton. I still have my Black Magic which is the last bat I used that I got when I was 14 and used until I was 17. It’s 32 inches, I probably could have moved up to 33 but I didn’t have the money for new bat. Prime early to mid 2000’s stuff…

The 2022 Quatro has a 2" long by 3/16" thick ring fitted into the middle of the barrel.
The 2018 Quatro glow stick has a about a 6" long floating tube that is attached to the cap which restricts barrel flex to a certain point.
I would expect the glow stick to be hotter or at least get hotter over use (breaking in). The 2022 will break in only a little because of the thick ring in the middle of the barrel. And the ring in the 2022 Quatro weighs 2.2oz (and that is a lot as far as rings go) which is only about 4.5"-5" from the top of the barrel....hence the endload feel. And More of an endload changes the MOI and has been proven to increase exit velos 2-3 MPH (that is of course if you are strong enough to handle that endload).
As someone who doesn't play in any league and is short and has a naturally thin build..so yeah, not so much on natural strength lol..I think it would be fun as fuck if someone made a mega juiced bat like some of those ones from the 90s (redline, reflex, tpx, etc) or just absolutely as juiced as possible, but were somehow also able to make it more durable without losing pop. Set up a pitching machine on the mound and hit bombs. XD

The 5150 is one of the most consistent bats in BBCOR year to year, outside of the Marucci CAT series.

It appears to me there's quite a bit of flex in these 2022 Quatros, so much that there's a lot of energy transfer lost on impact, which would explain the underwhelming EV results.
Do you think it would be worth buying this bat with the risk of it breaking? (Glow stick)

A couple of those unregistered 5150 hits looked like they were going 100+ mph. The radar could possibly need to be checked. There were a few of those unregistered hits I felt that Will absolutely crushed

This has nothing to do with this video but I just bought a 2022 voodoo one 32/29 bat. We have a wood bat tournament later this season. What wood be a high quality wood bat that would be comparable in swing weight and sweet spot to the voodoo one.

I’m swinging a 31in vandal I’m in 7th grade about 125puonds and I love it and can consistently hit the ball around 230-245 but it feels light and I would like to try out a more end loaded option do you have any good recommendations?

Ok so I have a easton S3Z z-core that has been in my highschools cage for who knows how long and this is a big thing to say but it is the goat. It might just be this one bat but i think it is better than any of the current bats. Please swing it and help me out. (Also it would be awesome is easton started making good bats again)

it really just seems like a lot of bat companies are trying to over do it with their new models. they need to lay off the new tech, because less is ultimately more in baseball. this reminds me of the demarion gattaca with the crazy over the top tech

It's not surprising the Glowstick matches the 5150 in avg exit velo. You have to pay a lot more and have your kid spend the time to break in the Glowstick and use as gamer only once broken in. Now you have to invest in another bat for BP/tee work.
Or you can get get your kid a one-piece alloy bat like the 5150.

If you like the 5150, the tech in it has been changed minority throughout the years and they repaint extra 5150s in their Walmart bats. They use to be like 150 bucks and you can get a rawlings Walmart bat for like 100 bucks and it's pretty much just an older 5150 overstock or blem bat
