The Jeep JKU Rear Seat Delete has been something I wanted to do for a long time. Getting tired of setting up and taking down tents. This will make things easier just to get up and go.

One of the best things about my LG was the rear seat came out without any tools. Left usable tie down points in it's abcense as well. I of course never thought of sleeping in the back of it back then. Rear seat turned into the garage seating until I sold her. The fancier they get, the more shit to remove. Cool build man. I hear ya about the tent, I have a Gazelle tent, but still, set up time for everything else takes a while...
Gazelle tents are awesome, my problem is most times I’m just out for the night and packing a tent is a lot of work
I can see Jerry just having a Jeep Cherokee and Chevy Colorado in the future .....😁😁
That’s pretty much how it will go
I always liked the simplicity of camping in the back of my Jeep. Nice work on the platform!! 👍
Thank you, it’s gonna be a game changer for sure
Nice mod. Top notch work. Great job on the upholstery work. 👊
Thank you
Nice job on the rear set delete Jerry . That should serve you well for years . Don't know how I missed this video from you , however I'm glad I found it . Take care my friend and pets to Ms. Carmen from me.
No worries, hope you have a great weekend
@@BackCountryWrenching I hope you have a great weekend also Jerry.
Five finger discount for sure . Thanks for the video .
😂🤣😂🤣😂
I say go for the 4x4 van, get a 3/4 or 1 ton, tow the TJ - sell the shit show, and have a great nights sleep - that might be my long game, keep my TJ, and get a van
The Tj is the next vehicle to go for sure as I’ve had it like 13 years now
Looks good Jerry
Good stuff utilizing the materials at hand. Look forward to seeing how the first nap goes in it.
Coming soon!
Talkin' about a camper-van or something similar. Have you considered building up a Chevy Suburban (maybe the last of the square-bodies) into your ultimate go anywhere, do anything, offroading / camping / hunting / fishing / whatever vehicle?
The 1991 with the barn-door back as a 4x4 would be a dream to build up
No that’s too old for me
That's better than store-bought.
I thought it turned out pretty good
Nice work!
Looks great..✌️
Thank you
about damn time
I know right
Great video 🎉, made me laugh with the (( gate keeper bolt )) lmao there is always a last last bolt or screw only discovered later 😅 i love your thinking on just doing the legs which will be plenty of support. Id think maybe a quick access latch for driver / passenger directly behind to carry a Just In Case Boom Boom stick 🤔 for when not being able to avoid those lovely mostly peaceful cities & their mostly peaceful enlightened residents & or bears 😀😉 enjoy your rig & days off.
A quick release hatch would be cool for sure
will you consider getting a van then having a Edison motors kit put into it? making it a "hybrid" all wheel drive van?
Negative on that
Great idea with a Colorado and a camper. But why a Colorado? Great video as always Jerry.
Get the ZR2 package already complete with lockers and lift no need to do anymore work
great job I can only assume your in Alberta im sure we have crossed paths at some point
Yes I am in Alberta
A camper van would be great, check out ‘ Livin the van life’,he built a camper van out of a sprinter van.
A sprinter van would be boss
just wonder why choose a colorado over a tacoma if going with a small pickup?
Not really a Toyota fan boy and the price of a Tacoma is quite a bit more
@@BackCountryWrenching fair enough!
Where did you get that stainless bench?
Princesssuto
Turned out great jerry! Did you get a chance to sleep in it yet?
I sure have and it was amazing
Dont do it buddy no camper van.. just get a Ersa minor top for your jeep with the built in tent.. it replaces your regular top on your jeep, when tent is down you hardly even know its up there.. expensive yea but what you save in gas and expense of a camper van , it will pay for itself👍
I thought about those and can’t justify the cost to buy one
the price of the welder doubled but i guarantee the workers wages at Esab didnt double. thats called corporate greed-flation. sounds like you need to sell your 2 Jeep wranglers and get a Gladiator instead of a damn Chevy.
I dunno I kind of wanna get out of the jeep scene completely
