- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Challenge Mode DLC - There are some sweet, sweet costumes to be had, and they can all be YOURS in less than a few hours! With the proper party setup, you can continuously take out Chickenheart Dagmara and his crew to consistently nab three reward boxes. Each run is easy to set up, since you really only need a common blade with orb master, Mythra and Shulk!

yes, there were three, but Shulk isn't part of the three. Ontos IS in the xc1 universe though.

I didn't mean shulk, more so the the Monado, or Zanza.
Now that you said it though, it does make since after-all Zanza is just a human turned god, he isn't a being born from the Trinity Processors, and Ontos is the only other one aside from shulk that can see visions, and wield the Monado, powers granted from the conduit.
He just fits like a glove into the role. Its so obvious, I kinda feel silly suggesting Zanza in the first place haha.
If you specifically want to just farm with no extra challenge, use the custom mode and make their health super low. Then just use an aoe attack then you kill a lot of the puppito at a time
Man seeing these youtubers' setups make me feel like a casual haha. Then again i only have 145 hours. I appreciate this helpful video!
It's thanks to the Xenoblade CZcams community that we've all gotten to some amazing heights, damage-wise. This game can get pretty crazy, even 500 hours in :P
For those who are looking for an easier challenge at the cost of only making about 10-15 noponstone per run, or who haven't beaten Chickenheart yet like me..., the Temperantian Standoff is another reasonably quick puzzle challenge. Challenge spoilers below:
The key that none of the enemies react until one dies. A good strategy to kill the frog first, as it is incredibly tanky, then use a chain attack immediately on the big snake before it one-shots you. You don't need any particularly special blade battle skills or anything, though a Burst Symbol might help.
Unarmed Civilian You can also take each of them down to low health and then kill the snake first then take the rest down super fast
That’s exactly the same method I found out and I believe it’s easier and way less stressful than the one showed in this video

I tried it on easy and there is no loss. So if your having trouble try it out in easy you get the same amount of nopon stones and it’s much easier to clear

Fiora is op
For a current guide, just use custom mode. I also used Zenobia on zeke to get some good damage with an overclocking bangle and I killed them as you would kill a level 1.
Another method to farm the Chickenheart is to use Eye of Shining Justice with Zeke. He will be completely immune to Driver Combos/Blowdown and just anihillate everyone with his Arts in one hit.
Ah yes. I finally found a guide AFTER I spent 2 days farming and got all of the costumes...
I do this and my attacks only do like 4000 dmg? Everyone is S+ and my accessories are fine. I have no idea whats happening
Edit: From what I can tell, the element it displays he's weak too he actually heavily resists. Unsure if this is a glitch or intended. Use Telos everyone. Shes actually essential.
Ok, update to this. I figured it out. When Chickenheart is Enraged (not Awakened, so Shulk's Purge won't affect this) he gets 99% Ether Resistance. This is why KosMos does so little but Telos does so much. Blades such as Zenobia, Telos and Dagas work great here so if you were having issues, fear no more. However, if you do have Kos-Mos, she is still worth using for her AOE lvl 2 and killing the remaining adds if they're still there. Hope this helped everyone.
You can also use a Sigma Drive over the Omega Drive to build up the party gauge. Instead of banking on crits, you fill it up by using Driver arts. In my experience, it builds up faster this way, even on Crit Mythra.

As for beating the dinos, I'm trying to figure out the best way to close the gap between people like myself (that have played for literally hundreds of hours) and the people that haven't invested as much time.
A lot of my tactics involve powering through the challenges, so we'll see how we can find a middle ground!
@@NnLiMedia i beat it on a new playthrough in around the 50 hours mark but have done a different playthrough so i kinda knew how to max everything fast ( and i had custom mode )
This Dagmara is actually just a normal pippito, so de doesn't get almost invincible after getting him to half HP like the normal Dagmara. You can also do him on easy mode, it doesn't decrease your drops and you can kill him without chainattacks in a minute.
Here’s a better strategy for custom mode that I found which gives you 12 nopon stones in 25 seconds: To anyone who wants to farm for nopon stones, go on custom mode, turn on the easiest settings, then go to “temperantian showdown”. First go to the Lv70 monster and use Kos-mos’s Lv 2 special by canceling one art and then using another without canceling as well as achieving a break. You should clear it in 25 seconds. This gets you around 12 nopon stones. My set-up is nia equipped with divine vambraces (70% damage to higher Lv enemies), Abyss masque (deals 110% more and take 55% more damage), and the blood witch costume, this can all be obtained in challenge mode (I don’t know where you get it in challenge mode, I just found the equipment). Nia also has the lush moonbeam mask (painting in leftherian archipelago) and adventures of Myram (book in argentum). I would also recommend equipping 3 atk blades as well to do maximize damage. My Kos-mos has S+ trust and has the aux cores: Hp atk boost V (or special Lv2 atk V), blade combo boost VI (you can get this from challenge mode or Kos-mos’s quest), and hunter’s chemistry V. And also have nia alone so you don’t kill the monster immediately before using the lv2 special.
the treeevent is nice with mythra & pneuma, it dies in like under 50 sec
I find adding critical up on mythra to be a good idea, since Lightspeed Flurry recharges your arts to max with each critical attack
Bro in the options you can turn off the mash B button prompts during specials and chains.
awesome video thank you ... quick question, why the line up with Morag? as in why have her have T-Elos is it becasue she does same amount of damage no matter who you put her on... but Morag has more defense obviously. reason im asking is I Love Morag too but my Telos damage dealer is Zack since strength based modifier with telos. just asking cos i would love to have her on Morag but to me Morag seems like a defensive character

I personally prefer to use Mórag over Rex whenever I can, mainly because her Affinity Passive "Golden Opportunity" slightly boosts the power of Chain Attacks.
What unique enemy do I have to defeat in order to get the chicken heart challenge?
Chickenhearth dagmara in the old factory after ebating the game, he is somewhere on the top parts of the factory in mor ardain, he is very difficult though.
How did you blow up Chickenheart Dagmara with the chain attack? When I used my chain attack I barely do any damage to him
i am VERY VERY late, but im curious how you recharge arts so freakin fast, is that a pouch item? bcs im not sure narcipear jelly recharges arts that fast
How do you have such an expanded item pick up area? I am a lot earlier in the game than you, but I spend pretty much every challenge battle running around with Rex trying to collect the ether cubes before they disappear. As a result, I'm barely able to contribute to the actual battles with Rex
What is Fioras favorite pouch item? I can't find it anywhere
Personally, I recommend Temperantian Standoff because it's short and easy. Also, do you know if higher difficulty missions have higher chances of dropping the new accessory tiers?
Also, I don't know if you know this, but Shulk with a tachyon chip at S+ has a whopping 1972 auto attack!
Okay, wtaf. I've gotten all the rare blades from the Crystal Cores, but never have I received a four star blade. All I ever get are 1-3 stars and the 5 star ones. I didn't even know those existed before watching this video.

Flawless Nopon stones
I just beat attack of the aspar on normal after getting it to lvl 200. the trick was using fiora on my driver (rex) and having the others focus solely on tanking (+hp and the new dmg taken & dealt down accessories, along with avant-garde medal cuz of fiora). Unfortunately, it still didn't drop enough ether cubes to get all 3 chests, so I guess you have to spam driver combos for that.
Loving your videos, im at chapter 9, almost finishing up...i have a question, if i beat the game i will still be able to do post game content prior to new game + or its a automatic thing where i beat the final boss i start new game plus (Game is up to date, season pass bought)
They save the game right before the end, so you have plenty of time to finish whatever's left! After that, you have to choose from the main menu whether or not you want to go to NG+
So as soon as i enter Chapter 10 i should focus on all the other stuf before proceeding?
Yup! Be sure to finish all your quests and view Heart-to-Hearts, since they reset in NG+.

Its very easy, i got all costumes in just less than a day.
the problem with this entire build that basically makes it irrelevant is that, by the time i can achieve all of the prequisites, i basically finished the game and don't need to grind anymore
VI cores can be farmed too
I do not know if you can get all VI’s from this one, however, I have gotten a wide variety of them.

I want to complete shulks affinity chart and i dont know how to get those 3600 points in challenge mode. The highest i got was 3598 which is really frustrating😅 can anybody help?

SpeedNintendo When Chickenheart enrages, they gain 99% Ether resistance. Get Corvin, then spam their Level 1 Special before the Chain Attack. Corvin can Purge Enrage
Does the mode you do the challenge on affect how much Noponstone you receive per run?

Try doing Temperantia Standoff; Kill the snake first, chain attack the frog, then kill the bug. It gives less, but it's quite easy according to some commenters ;)

Dino Drama..it's hard to explain best strategy since all I did was have a super powerful Poppi QTπ solve all my problems. Having her completely optimized shoudl be everyone's priority if they hope to win more easily in this game!
Wolffgamezzz i used Pneuma, Poppi Qtpi and Kosmos and did a 2 orb chainattack. There is 1 pretty good guide on ty too
Nn Li I highly recommend you play Xenoblade Chronicles 1 it's an amazing game.
There is a video someone did where he basically focused on defeating the reinforcements first, then dealt with the biggest one last by first using as many blade arts as he could to create the orbs, then turned Mythra into Pneuma and unleashed the chain attack, which then led to the bar filling up and unleashing tier 4 blade arts, defeating the big one.
I just spammed Kosmos' 2nd blade special. Heals your whole party and massive AOE damage.
This isn't working for me, mythra is over s trust for me, and my attacks are powerful, but using ascended form did little to no damage!!!!! can someone explain this to me??????
I think they made this easier because I just did it and got 20 Noponstone AND 20 Flawless Noponstones.

47 seconds on easy mode temperantian standoff challenge today , an I’m not using my full power :)
Is farming these really necessary? I’ve already completed every challenge and I had enough stones to buy every costume about half way through. Regardless I hope they add more to the game. My personal favorite is Crimson Orchid Brighid.

Pleeeease help me! I have like 300 noponstones but the problem is, I can't buy outfits! I can buy all the outfits for the Blades, but when I want to buy the Drivers ones it says "Not enough space to accept reward"... What do I need to do to be finally able to buy them??

It can be any element, since it takes three characters to break an orb at most, and you need to break it in order to guarantee a second round.

So, I'm a pro at xenoblade 2 and all my units have 9999 hp and 400-500 strength, and max damage chip is 980, but after this vid, I feel like a noob.
Btw I have the dlc, it's super fun but very tedious to farm noponstones. Off I go to farm some unique enemies for dat 17297392729283 dmg chip.
How do you get to trust s+? I've heard about it a lot but I don't know what it is at all
It's basically the highest form of trust, so after S is S2 to S9, and finally S+. Most people get it by spamming pouch items, and it's useful since it increases the blade's damage.
Nn Li how does one go about finding what level of trust they are on, and is it only NG+?
You cant see the specific number, but if you click the right shoulder button on the blade select screen it will display their trust. When every node of their affinity chart is complete they become S rank. After that its a matter of spamming pouch items or Love Sources

That may also work, using Shulk and Mythra in case they don't have KOS-MOS.
I always do the challenge where you fight malos and jin and i just Kosmos, Dagas, mythra ascended single orb nuke them
So what do each of the costumes do?
They're basically accessories for drivers and aux cores for blades. They essentially augment the playstyles of each person (i.e. Zeke does more crit damage)

I found a way to make it more faster but is a bit riskier, but you can finish it in 40-50 segs

Honestly, you shouldn't be farming for noponstone, but rather the accessories and aux cores. Challenge mode is the only way to get Lv 6 ones unlimited and the accessories are the best in the game for what they do.

I think the idea is that not everyone has KOS-MOS, but yeah
