- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Fiora, as I've said many times before, is one of the best blades in the roster, and arguably the best one out of the new ones that came with Challenge Mode. Thanks to her ability to reliably refill party gauge, you can repeatedly chain attack the target in consecutive order, giving them very little time to react with attacks of their own.
Fiora is impeccable on Rex, and she is an absolute beast that can prevent your party from being hit while also increasing their damage and healing them. Move over, Mythra: there's a new Queen of Crit in town!

Hi there! First off I love watching your videos. And second why glarna stirfry over narcipear jelly or hot Ruby steamed bun? Both offer the same amount of arts recharge and a physical defense buff but narcipear also grants an ether defense buff and HRSB also offers an additional benefit (can't remember what it was) and they last longer (1 hr. and 10 min.).

+gravemind76 Honestly, it really depends on your playstyle. If you’re asking me, though, I’d say the following.
T-elos. Her passives alone can boost her attack by 900%. Combine that with aux cores and accessories and your arts alone are dealing around 400k damage per hit, with a crit recharge. With the right pouch items and affinity nodes you can basically spam this infinitely. She’s also a party attack monster like Kos-mos.
Fiora. A straight beast on Rex due to her broken 80+% crit rate at max affinity. Crit recharge on an art that hits four times which basically means you’ll never die with avant-garde medal, and you’ll never have to auto-attack. Also it does about 100k damage in total which delivers insane DPS.
Patroka. She has similar passives as T-elos but only up to 300%. Still makes her arts deal around 100k-200k damage which is pretty sweet. The downside is that they don’t recharge like T-elos and Fiora, so you’ll have to auto-attack.
Herald/Kos-mos. As far as DPS goes, they’re tied imo. Herald might actually take the lead since her passive grants her a 200% increase in attack at max affinity, but again it all depends on your accessories and aux cores. Kos-mos has the advantage of being a more well-rounded blade. Her specials are also slightly better overall, so it’s a tie. I’m a little biased because I love Kos-mos and using her in party attacks is just, wow.
Zenobia. I got her early on and she allowed me to breeze through the entire main story. Her passives grant huge bonuses against higher leveled enemies and bosses/uniques, and also if you’re facing multiple enemies. She isn’t higher up on the list because you can only really use her full power in specific situations, whereas T-elos and Fiora don’t have any restrictions.
Those are my 5 (6) top picks. There might be some other setup that makes another blade more powerul, but not that I’m aware of.
EDIT: Holy shit, I can’t believe I forgot about Pandoria. With Zeke’s eye of shining justice she’s right up there with T-elos and Fiora. The downside is that the eye of shining justice will run out, unlike T-elos’ passives or Fiora’s broken arts.

Fiora will be gutted in hard/BoC difficulty later. Crit- recharge gets nerf and screw edge spamming is over. Anything that can hit 5-6k right now will instantly kill her in upcoming difficulty.

This is all true. As soon as I got my Fiora to S+, she destroyed everything.
Seems like, if you put Fiora and the Orb master on Zeke, then sub out Patroka for Pandoria, you could just be a Jack of All trades and open with Zeke's Eye of Shining Justice then sweep the rest with Fiora and her insane party gauge building.
Yup, she can fit on any driver and still perform well! It's great that we don't need Overdrives for her.

Please make more Showcased with KOS - MOS. I know, T-elos is much easier to get, but you kind of ignore those, who were lucky or farmed cores for hours.

Fiora's ability to make a team spam chain attacks is awesome, but let's not overlook how broken "Vision" is in this game!
Nn Li I do love how it can completely make AOE attacks whiff even against your teammates despite you getting the Vision
Yeah if they ever remake XC from the ground up, definately have these visions instead, plus they don't disrupt the flow of battle.
nah the most powerful blades are blades that have the most multi hits special. Its easy to reach 999k/hit in chain attack. It takes less than 30-50 second to stack fusion combo and at least 2 orbs which leads to 50mil damage. Something that Fiora and Shulk is lacking...low hit count in chain attack.
Both have multi hit special though.
KOS-MOS' level 2 is also basically a full-party heal, I wouldn't even bother with Avant-Garde medals. She also loves hanging around Fiora because of her dependence on crits, so there's that too. I think also, Zeke is a slightly better cannon user. And instead of Avant-Garde medal on Rex it would be a Crimson Headband because Fiora crits pretty much every hit, so the headband really maximizes her damage output. Those are just my suggestions.
Failing KOS-MOS, Corvin is also a great choice to help build party meter FAST. But you're doing pretty great just having Fiora and Poppi QTpi, as they are considered to be the best 2 blades in the game. You can also pull in Dagas and put him on anyone, if you'd rather use someone like Mythra for your player-controlled blade, get some more driver combos going.
are you maybe goin to do a challenge mode ranking vid? i'd imagine all the blades with these attack boosts by killing enemies would be high up there, like my boi Perceval.

The one thing preventing me from beating challenge mode is my laziness. I dont want to put together a specific loadout for certain battles. I wish there were team loadouts you could save and load so doing these builds would be easier and it would also help for those feild skills that have you change your whole team.
I don't know why that's not even a feature. Creating preset party loadouts would actually improve the overall game.
i am sad to say that i have not gotten a single orb master even tho i have every rare blade. its like expeditionist all over again.

Fiora is a perfect example of why roles in this game are a joke and why they shouldn't exist it confuses too many players.
Can you do a video on what to look for in good common blades? I haven't seen a really good guide anywhere. I -THINK- the max stat boost you can get is 24% for a stat, but I'm not sure.

this is a really informative video I have a few questions 1.what if you have a kos mos is kos mos better than t-elos if so what do I run for them 2. where are you finding all these core chips the highest core chip I have is only a thousand and I'm seeing you with 1700 and I would like to see where you would farm these chips.

The dilatons in the chest respawn in every NG. As well, I'm fairly certain that they can also be a reward in challenge mode.

So why were you avoiding using Patroka to break that Electric orb? Does it really make a difference when you break it?
Yup! When you start the second round, only the blades that hit an elemental orb will be allowed to participate. Since Patroka is guaranteed to break it on the second hit, it would prevent QTπ from joining the second round.

Nn Li just got it. Currently maxing fiora, shulk, and poppibuster. The love source makes S+ so much easier but still annoying. I wish they had a dlc to keep the blades weapons unique appearance so i can optimize but sadly tachyon for everyone.

My actual team, I play as morag with : Shulk - Orb master - Kassandra with a creatheal setup
With zeke :
T-elos - Zenobia - common blade with a creatheal setup
With rex :
Only Fiora with a critheal setup too
The problem is that I don't have any critical symbol and I wonder if the ability of fiora can replace it ?
Easily! I only used Crit symbol on Tora since Poppi QTπ has a built-in Crit-heal.
Wouldn't you want patroka on one of the other drivers so her elemental weekness buff is active? Or does it activate if she is your second blade while you are using fiora?

Gotcha. I figured you might have just made a mistake or something, but i guess saying it from what he's weak to is fine. Love the vids in general btw, usually ends up giving me at least a few new ideas on how to go about the challenge and keeps them exciting.On a side note, do you happen to know what missions have a chance to drop whichaux cores/ accessories, or if one has a higher chance of higher rarity accessories? Would make farming some of these so much easier.

Adenine is a perfect alternative, since she has a similar skill for increasing the damage of elemental weaknesses.
Hunter's chemistry and night vision are useless. Just use Shulk on one of the other members. As for affinity, It increases everytime you use an art. And since Fiora can spam screw edge very fast you can get max affinity in ~5seconds without Hunter's chemistry
Remember: it takes longer to get Max affinity for Blades that don't initiate the battle. Having extra blades means waiting, and the more you wait, the more attacks the boss will be able to pull off.
As for Hunter's chemistry, it affects the entire party even though it's only on Fiora. The sooner T-Elos and Poppi QTπ reach max affinity, the sooner I can start initiating chain attacks for the highest damage they can reach.
Woiken Also, Nn li forgot to mention this, but night vision stacks on the whole party too and multiplies their dexterity. During the superboss challenge mode fights, without the dexterity buff, it can be really hard to land a hit.
So im trying to understand the math here... you have a dex stat of around 380 and are 100% nailing every hit you throw out no problem. I have a dex of around 600 right now and can only get 1 hit every 3 or so attempts of fiona's screw attack.

You could definitely do both, but I wanted to place emphasis on blades that are substantially less rare than KOS-MOS. Also, don't forget the reliance on AI to bring both blades out long enough to have Max Affinity, which affects their Phase Transition Tech!
What exactly would be the benefit of not intentionally breaking your "orb" on the first turn using an opposing element?
The rest of your team will get to attack anyway, right? Is there some sort of damage bonus that you get if the orb is still active?

Bob Builder Actually, her 40% buff is additive, not multiplicative. I tested this by giving a party member an ether cannon common that only had 5% critical rate, and I used Fiora. The common blade critical hit almost every other attack, implying that it has 45% critical rate, while if the buff was multiplicative, the blade would have only had a 7% critical rate.

Hey li, what are the best orb master elements besides dark that you can get, I've already got a 4 star dark knuckle claw with lvl 5 orb master and a 3 star ice ether cannon with lvl 5 orb master
Any element can work, provided everyone will be able to hit it. This means it can't be the opposite element of anyone that's in the first round of the chain attack. Ice can be fine as long as Fiora doesn't hit first/second.
Nn Li OK I will have to try it out later, also I heard dark orbs are particularly good because of seal reinforcements, is there any other useful seal effects?

The Crimson Headbands are extremely important, since Fiora can passively boost crit-chance. This is especially important if you plan to hit cap damage, or close to cap damage per line.
Can someone tell me what the chances of getting Kos mos from a common core is? Cause I cannot belive my eyes!
With optimal setup (Zeke because he has naturally high justice, 999 luck, and using legendary core crystals) your best odds are 0.714%. Since you're using commons, it'll be a lower rate than that.

How? Fiora can spam only one attack while with Mythra you can spam all attacks.
Fiora's one attack easily out-damages anything Mythra can do, her specials can not only deal more damage but she also has a team heal. Mythra's only real advantage is having easy access to topple. Fiora also has 3 Aux Cores slots while Mythra is stuck with 2.
Đức Đặng Tấn Nope, Rolling Smash dose slightly more damage than Screw Edge, Mythra has higher attack, just equip the same aux cores to Mythra, and Fiora abilities get weaker for every less enemy. Did you know every Greataxe equipped to Mòrag has basically the same Art as Fiora called Admiral Waltz, with that in mind; it kind of makes no sense why Fiora is being so over hyped.
slightly higher attack means nothing when Fiora gets a damage boost every time she crits up to 300%. Even in a 1v1 Screw edge can easily do 200k+ damage in NG while Rolling Smash can't deal even close to that. The damage increase for every extra enemy is a bonus for Fiora considering Mythra doesn't even have something similar. Mythra is also literally incapable of equipping the exact same aux cores as Fiora because of her measly 2 slots.

Everything carries over (except quest progress, heart-to-hearts, quick travel points) and you can remove main blades from your party members (Dromarch/Nia, Rex/Pyra, Mórag/Brighid, etc.)
