Honestly, who all is still alive hinges on how far in the future this game is. If the queen of Keves is indeed Melia, she's definitely older, but based on her shoulders, not yet old. The mask certainly makes it unclear, but if she's intended to look like the equivalent of a 30 year old, that'd mean it's approximately 50 years in the future. In that case, it very well could be possible to meet grandpa Shulk and grandma Fiora! Perhaps Reyn could be like the Genghis Khan of the new world and over half of Keves has Reyn's genes, making Reyntime all the time!

Cant really go on Melias look cus dont forget high Entia can live 400 years so even if she 200 now shes just gonna look middle aged plus if its only like 50 years most of the cast would still be alive which doesn’t make sense they anit bringing every back. All of the humans are dead.
We all assume too much of XC3 following XC 1 and 2. We have no clue how the new world works and how life spans of old characters work. We have things like Machina and High Entia as well as Blades/Flesh Eaters aging like humans. We also have the whole flame clock aspect. We don't know if you can break pass the 10 year time limit by using the flame clock energy. Maybe Nia/Melia use that to stay alive/young. There's too many differences to truly know if aging for old characters is normal.

Seeing the returning characters will be cool, even seeing descendants of the xc1 and xc2 characters would be cool
there are theories going around that Ethel, Cammuravi and Isurd are descendants from 1 and 2 characters

Riki is definitely alive if the Legendary Heropon sidequest is canon. The reason why the Nopon Archsage is 9999 years old is more than likely due to him being the true Heropon, which is a role that would be passed down onto Riki
Nice thoughts, though I doubt it. It really seems like it's the Nopons aren't able to use the core crystals, be seen as those Shadow Link looking ass, and where and when the hell do they even come from? Does XBX have the questions to it?
If they some how some way, bring malos back not as an enemy, but as an ally I think that would be really cool. That way you play with each monado in each game. 1 with ontos, 2 with pneuma and 3 with logos. It's very unlikely but I just think it's a cool idea
I would love to see Alvis, Malos & Pyra/Mythra interacting with each other in 3. Itd be cool to see them together even if they appear for a few minutes to give some exposition to the cast lol

Anyone remembers when Shulk was given an option to make a choice and threw his true monado up onto the air with the other two monado's. Those monado's looked hella like the the color scheme of Malos's and Pyra's.
That fact that Alvis could've done what Pyra did mid story may as well proves that Alvis was somewhat of a core, but an aegis, one who takes the information of both Malo's and Pyra's/Mythra's power's to be borrowed onto Alvis.
The question I wanna know that not many will think of is, when will there be a reference to Xenogears, aside from two nations at war and a third party pulling the strings.
@@ChaolaoFueChi People have been saying Noah's fusion forms looks like the Xenogears mech which I was kinda iffy on agreeing with but after Mios fusion was revealed and it looked like KOS-MOS I'm inclined to think it's a Xenogears reference
The first thing I'm wondering about is how the blade system works now? Because we see that Mio is a flesh eater but we know she actually ages like a human does cause she was a little girl. I assume she's Nia's daughter maybe blades are entirely independent of drivers now but can actively choose who they want as their partner.
I would think Pyra and Mythra "Pneuma" would only be around if Rex is still alive. Pyra and Mythra made it clear they wouldn't want to keep living after Rex passes away and shouldn't have to keep going without him. So if Rex has passed on let Pyra and Mythra be with him in the afterlife.
I reckon there’s some dark, messed up, Xeno-style explanation as to why Mio is a flesh eater but ages at the same pace as humans
The soldiers have life bars indicated on her body, also even with that , Nia might have altered her so she ages like a human cus she may think of random immortality as a nightmare cus she outlived close friends like maybe Rex, morag, hell even her blade dromach.

@@generalkenobi3609 Well, the big think is well have no definate idea how far into the future xbc3 starts from xbc1 and xbc2. The tech advancements seen seem to indicate at least a couple decades but Keves has the fallen arm to recylce from and Agnus could study and revere engineer stuff from Morytha and maybe bit of the orbit station that fell from space. Hell, with Adenine and the salvaging community Rex gathered and shulks lab, R and D could possibly go pretty fast.
@@PJDAltamirus0425 Hmmm, I'd say that when both of the games of XB1, XB2 and possibly XBX (the monsters hella resembles what they look like, humongously detailed) because 1 and 2 seems to have ended at the same time, but.... hmmm.... since Noah's are new main character, he should be related to some sort of Ark like in the stories. That one clip on CZcams where the world was frozen and he and seems like he only was able to move about.

I could see Rex for 2 different reasons Pyra's/Mythra's form maybe help expanded his life and technically Rex was dead till the ending of the story so he shouldn't be able to age.
sure he was brought back to the living world and Rex could've been considered a spirit in human form 🤔.
This is just my speculation plus I want Rex to return.

@@ill_luck Well it's kinda true in a way Rex was technically dead through the whole story the only thing that kept in the world was half of the Core Crystal from Pyra/Mythra.
Also laws of physics and time doesn't effect the Aegis.
So it's possible and as I said it just I want to see Rex but only the game will tell who's there and who's not.
It was stated that Amalthus lived a long time because he was an Aegis driver

Rex was brought back from Deaths Door but he was still technically Dead.
@@hezitation4868 With that in mind, Rex is technically still Pyra and Mithra's driver. So we can reasonably expect to see a young adult Rex in 3.
I think a really cool thing they could do with Poppi, especially to play with the player's emotions, is to have her shut down and stored somewhere in the game. Maybe Tora shut her off when he got old or something, idk. I'm just writing as I go.
But maybe the new party could find Poppi in a room somewhere, maybe in a lab/workshop of some sort, and be able to reactivate her, and she could be surprised at not being active for a long time and stuff like that
would be sad if she's damaged beyond repair and rusted

Sadly blades will most likely not be alive due to them apparently being fused soldiers with the big giveaway being Sena since she bares heavy resemblance to Bridgid

Xenoblade wiki says Nopon can live to 160-240 years
So depending on how long it's been since 1/2, Riki, Tora, Nene, and Kino could very well still be alive. I'm not gonna lie, seeing a grumpy old Grampypon Riki would be hilarious, lol.
I thought Amalthus survived the five hundred years since the events of Torna because he was a blade eater? The characters even comment that it’s extraordinary that even an indoline survived for that long.

And malos's core crystal got destroyed so he can't be reawakened

Gaelgar has wings. He could have flown away. You are assuming he died.
Malos is one of the trinity processors and was talking to Pneuma after his defeat. He logically still exists in some form.

I wanna see a Poppi QTPi who has had to keep existing without Tora for a pretty long time. It was a shame that XC2 didn't let QTPi be in the main plot, and QT was barely present either. They kinda just wanted to keep her in alpha mode, and the other 2 modes felt like excuses to let Poppi be 3 blades in one for the sake of gameplay. I wanna see QTPi, and Tora being dead could bring about a nice character arc for her or something. She could even be living with a group of Machina or something. If Riki and his kids are alive, then I'd bet that Tora could easily be alive too, because he's only a few years older than Nene. It's not said, but he's at least younger than Rex. I don't see any reason to assume that Nopon from 2 don't have the same long lifespans as the ones in 1.
I think it would be also really cool to see Zeke and Pandoria. Mik made it 500 years as a blade eater, and probably could've lived a lot longer, so odds are good that Zeke might be alive, and if he's alive, so is Pandoria.
I believe Fiora is probably as dead as any other Homs. I don't think the main game said it, but it was said somewhere that they were able to regenerate Fiora's organic body using some special High Entia technology that was hidden inside the crashed ancient High Entia ship (what became the Cylinder Hangar that you can to go) in Colony 9.
I hope that one Indoline monk we fought at the World Tree who sounded like John Wayne is still alive. I hope he's doing all right.
I think Fiora could be alive, and if so she probably has something Mechon-like.

I feel like the Nopon Archsage is tied into all of this somehow, and if so he could even be the final boss, I can literally imagine the little dude just starting with "I be waiting."

I’m really hoping that Zeke and Pandoria are still alive and kicking, they’re some of my favorite Xenoblade characters. And if we can’t see the characters themselves I definitely hope to see some descendants of characters, especially those from Xenoblade 1 since it seems like most of the main cast can’t return because they’re likely dead (such as Reyn, Dunban, Sharla, etc)
Zeke is most likely alive because blade eaters can live longer than humans and Pandoria would be alive as long as Zeke is.
i would love it if we get alvis back as seeing how, the monado that is the most knowledgeable about the pre phase transition experiment, is interacting with the other monado that has only bare bones information about what happened would be super interesting.
ps.: fiora 100% is not alive if this is more than 100 years in the future as you forgot the most important part about her becoming halve machina being that the monado was the only thing keeping her alive and it was stated that she only had a few years left in that state.
Fiora becomes fully human again after Xenoblade 1, she is VERY dead in Xenoblade 3.

My guess is 150-300 years after Xenoblade 1/2, as Nia is a flesh eater, and they have a lifespan of roughly 500 years given Minoth and Jin.

I heavily disagree that it's that far into the future. I agree that the timeframe you've given is technically possible given the characters we've seen still alive, it doesn't fit Melia's age. During Xenoblade 1, melia is 88, possibly 89 in Future Connected. The average lifespan for a high entia was around 400 years, but given that Melia is half homs, it's very likely that her total lifespan is even shorter than that. She looks to be around how old Kallian was during the events of XC1, so I can't imagine her being more than 120 or so, since Kallian was 151 at the time and he was a pure high entia.
Another thing that makes me think this game is much closer in time to 1 and 2 than you guess is the ether ring gear that Keves soldiers have. It's the same ether ring tech as seen on Shulk's belt in FC, and Shulk (and possibly some others from the post-xc1-events colony 9 research lab) is the one who developed it. Given that this tech seems to still be used in a mostly unchanged state in XC3, it's hard for me to imagine that it takes place that much later. If it did, the tech would certainly be significantly more advanced and we may not even have seen these ether ring tech pieces in 3.
Given this, I'd imagine that the actual time difference from 1 and 2 is around 50-100 years.
@@AkatsukiAyano frankly I think just narratively they wouldn't do 50 years, at least 100, and we haven't seen melia without her mask, and high entia tend to not start look like old people til far later in life, so the time frame I proposed is only a lil overboard, if I was more thinking it through, it'd be closer to the 150 years end honestly.
Nopon Sage and Nopon Archsage are two completely different nopon btw.

That is what was implied in game yes, there are alot of details this video leaves out like how it's confirmed that fiora's body is fully hom's as explained in a book, as well as the fact that the architect and zanza are the same being and thus once shulk deals his deathblow both cease to exist. Also the fact that alvis is the 3rd processor core aka 3rd aegis, so yes he'd be able to still exist. And personally while I do think there is a chance zeke will be alive in 3, since he only has 1 core and wasn't abusing blade eating like amalthus I assume his life wasn't super extended like his. I think more then likely what we could encounter that would be sad is poppi without tora as it was confirmed that due to how she was put together her pieces wouldn't start degrading until hundreds of years later. So more then likely the tldr of who'd be alive while mostly depends on how long the timeskip is and how the words fused specifically, more then likely any beings with long lives will be fine: high entia, machina, blades, flesh eaters, poppi, aegis, and maybe indoline people.

The Master of all Napons Tora is OBVIOUSLY gonna be still alive. It would be epic to see Riki Heropon and Tora Masterpon team up for max Nopon fury against the foolish enemies that try to step up. I'd also would love for Alvis, Pyra, and Mythra to finally meet. It may even clear up the mystery surrounding the Aegis's connection to each other.
I'm pretty confident the time skip will be rather short, a couple of years at max. If they make it really big it would be a bit weird because they couldn't bring many significant characters back in a meaningful way. Sure some races can live that long but still, not bringing the fan favorites like Reyn in any way shape or form would be very odd.
Also I start to feel that we might have a lot of returning characters either as antagonist throughout the story (maybe only for a time until we convince them) since the party in 3 seems to be hunted down by both Nia and Melia. And there's also a good chance that previous characters return as hero classes accompanying you and giving you access to their class. If not in the main game maybe in DLC similarly to how Shulk, Fiora and Elma were in XC2.
Also, Mikhail himself could easily be alive, if New Game+ is made canon. In XC2NG+, after Mik throws Indol against the World Tree, he appears at the bottom to be recruited by the party. He survived because Patroka asked him to come back alive, so she could kill him herself for saying he loved her. So Mik could still canonically be around, hanging with Zekenator in the Blade Eater Club (Rex-Rex doesn’t count, sorry).

If i'm not mistaken you can see nopon ages on the affinity chart in xenoblade 1 and that ricky is already way past the "experition date" for any homs (+-400 years if i'm not mistaken) being the second oldest character of the party only being surpassed by melia.
Yes, you can see Riki's age in game. And while he is still the second oldest member of the party, he is unfortunately only 40 years old and Melia herself is still in the double digits as well with her age being 88. I admit I do not have the affinity chart 100% complete, but I took a look and besides the Nopon Sage being 9999 years old the oldest Nopon I could find was Yusa from Central Bionis with an age of 83. But it is kinda hard to tell with some of the Nopon models for side quest characters what stage of their life cycle they are at. I tried to find but can't locate anything on Chief Dunga's age, so for a Nopon like Riki to make an appearance in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 could still be possible.
Wait just did a little more searching, and found out Nopon lifespans can range from 160 years to 240 years. So depending on how far into the future Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is, we could quite possibly see any of the Nopon from Xenoblade 1 or 2.
The Nopon village Elder in XC1 was around 240 years old

Based on how different things seem to be I would say it's not possible for it to be just 20 years later, it's probably 100 or more.
Pretty sure that the game takes place much further than what anyone would expect at first, that Melia and Nia are Clones like all the soldiers and that the only true returning characters could be part of the antagonists.

Xenoblade chronicles 3 I'm expecting to be this series' big crossover event or at least lead to it. I don't want past characters to steal the spotlight from the new ones in need of development though. If anything a dlc like torna could probably be the huge crossover event or maybe xenoblade 4. Perhaps this game will plant the seeds.
Alvis, Shulk, and Melia are definetly key players in the xbc3 plot.
The only way I see Shulk being a key player is if he was in one of the first Ouroboros fusions, and the only way I see Shulk doing that is by fusing with Rex.

Good video but have to say do a little more research next time because so much stuff can be explained for certain characters about the ways they'd be alive and in 1 the world was created without gods so it would be unlikely for 90% of the cast to be alive

It has to be not over 50, cause melia looks still relatively young as queen, also Nia being a flesh eater, flesh eaters age but relatively slow, one perfect example is the theater owner who was adams blade in torna, he was a old man when rex and gang went to see him, so no 100 year time laps, that I can confirm
Remember torna and xenoblade 2 are 500 years apart timeline wise, so nia may be in her mid 30s if not 40s human appearance, which could been 25 to 30 timespan after the events of xeno 1 and 2

Fiora had a Mechon body, not a Machina body. Machina is a race, Mechon is a machine.
I think you're forgetting that the world-altering power of the Aegises comes from the Conduit, which is gone now. Malos completely disintegrated, core and all, just before the Conduit vanished, so it's highly unlikely he'll come back. Even if he did somehow return, I doubt he'd be the same as he was in XC2.

Nopon age is a bit weird because we don't really see many old nopon or get their ages. The chief of Frontier Village is not in the affinity chart so we don't know how old he is. Nan, a nopon elder in X is 99 years old, and is considered old by other nopon. It seems that nopon usually don't live a lot longer than humans do, but there are exceptions. These exceptions are immortal
The Nopon Sage of Makna - 9999+ years old, the first true heropon. Riki becomes the second true heropon after passing the Sage's test.
The four divine Nopon spirits Nopopon, Napopon, Nipopon, and Nupopon. -All 9,999 years old, they glow with a divine aura.
The nopon halfsage in Torna . - Age unkown, however, he has blocked himself off from the world for so long, his cave and seals are described as ancient. The halfsage may predate the normal nopon speech patterns created by Captain Nopopon(unrelated to the above) seeing as he uses "I".
The Nopon Archsage - Exact age unknown, but is in the millions of years. The Orderly that follow him may be similarly ancient.
There's also a nopon in the nopon village that is 160 years old.

Nopons live 160 to 240 years.
The Aegises don’t exists anymore. Nor Malos nor Pneuma. Pyra and Mythra could still be around but they becomed normal Blades since the Conduit disappeared. Pneuma is no longer a thing.
The blade forms of the Aegises don’t exist anymore(despite Pyra and Mythra still existing as normal blades) but Pneuma, Logos and Ontos still exist as computer programs with the Conduit somewhere.
We definitely know makos is dead his core faded and he fully died he’s not coming back and neither is pneuma she sacrificed herself

I don't really see Rex returning. Why would he? Shulk recreated the whole world and became it's God, so Shulk definetly fits in the plot somewhere. But I don't see any foreshadowing of Rex being important what so ever.
Shulk is no longer a god at the end of Xenoblade 1, he just continued the life he normally would have had without being possessed by Zanza.

If Xenoblade 3 is related to X we will see Elma(in her alien form)in the actual story, but if it isn’t related we will definitely see her as dlc or something within the game.

No. Nintendo confirmed multiple times that the world of this game is the combined world of Xenoblade 1 and 2.
To be honest I just finished xenoblade chronicles 2 I do the first game but not dlc for the 2 game
Future Connected is pretty short. It’s like 2 or 3 chapters of Xenoblade 1 in length.
Torna isn’t extremely long but it is about double the length of Future Connected.

Pyra/Mythra shouldn't return in part 3. They need to be banned from everywhere!!! Smash 6 should cut them from the roster!!! Xenoblade 3 should make them say that the quit their job and retired somewhere where we don't see!!!!!
Rex barley get repect from fans: The way how he voiced and his actions plus Pyra and Mythra is all over the news saying that those were the popular characters in Xenoblade chronicles 2 so how about they give the roster returning to Rex alone shoot, he can probably find a new weapon.

@@plushsmash3595 Rex is the most annoying character ever, and his name is Rex. I've grown up with the T-REX. So he doesn't live up to that name. He's quite annoying. I'm not a fan of Xenoblade but if it were to deserve representation then Shulk would be enough. Rex just makes the characters look extremely annoying.

@@plushsmash3595 Like I said, I'm not a fan of Xenoblade, so I don't even know who that is. I'd rather have Malos instead of Pyra/Mythra or Rex but all of the Xenoblade characters are terrible.
