  • This is a stunning, short day hike in the Pisgah National forest. With the summit at over 6200ft, this hike offers breathtaking views. The trail remains well-above tree line for over 3 miles. The Art Loeb Trail is one of North Carolina's most strenuous trails, while offering some of the most scenic views. This is a great short hike to be able to experience some of those views without too much effort or planning!

Thanks Jessy! It's a beautiful area, I would highly recommend checking it out. I'm hoping to hike the entire Art Loeb Trail soon so there should be a lot more video from that trail

    Hi.
Enjoyed this video - thanks for sharing!
The terrain and views reminded me somewhat of the Roan Highlands on the Tennessee/NC border.
    God Bless...

I go every year from Graveyard Fields to Tennent MT and usually do a hike in the Smokys, via- blue ridge Parkway.

That's awesome! I can't wait to do more of that trail. I want to thru-hike the Art Loeb soon, so hopefully I'll see that area better. I love it there. Wish it weren't so far from me

How long of a hike is it till you got to your first open view?

Not long at all from that parking area. Probably less than a half mile. It opens up right away!
