Awesome video, thank you so much, I ended yeah purchasing a whole other microphone. The Umik 1 had was used, And apparently somebody already opened it and changed the calibrating settings inside. So I ended up taking it back, They wind up sending me a proper mic that was not used. Also taking your steps send your video. So thank you so much! Your awesome!
@@homecinemaking397 It turned out excellent, I ran a few measurements with the microphone on my MacBook, there were three imprecise measurements, near the bottom measurement points. I also ran the calibration on my PC computer which gave just one imprecise measurement, it takes moving the microphone a little bit and rerunning it to get it to work, that cleared error. I can't run my PC too much. It's kind of noisy in the room. So I tried to plug the microphone into the receiver itself, went through 17 positions through wide imaging with no Imprecise or errors, went smoothly. It sounds awesome, No imaging issues, Center image is great! Takes some work. But definitely worth it, been listening to a lot of demos!
@@ericshutter5305which Windows and Dirac live Version you used? My Umik 2 calibration from Hifi Selbstbau Germany is Superior to my Umik 1.Umik 2 has less gain,but thats not a Problem..what where your issuses with Umik 2 and what AVR?? 🙋
Very nice. I’ve always liked Rotel amps. I wonder why they use 5 feet under the amp? I don’t think I’ve seen that before. My 90 pound 7ch only has four and same with my 150lb Krell
@@homecinemaking397 I think on the Rotel layout, the transformer is in the middle, so they added the additional foot to the COG. I have an RMB-1585 for surrounds and heights and love it! Wish Michi would make a surround amp, I run Michi for the front stage…
@@homecinemaking397 Dirac is better,but i meant,If you tried limiting Dirac to f.e 500hz.Audessey sounded better with 350hz than full.I have the curves,that a guy from my loudspeaker brand created based on lab meassurements.Really the best for me 💪🏻👍🏻

I upgraded to Umik 2 and even got a new reference calibration Data from a German Shop called "Hifi Selbstbau" IT makes a difference with Dirac now.

@@homecinemaking397 be careful... Umik-2 can have issues with Dirac Live. I had to go back to the Umik-1 to get good measurements ...

Ever tried Dirac bass Control limited? Audessey was better in my room with limitation after 350hz..
No i find Dirac way better. Did you add a curve?
