This or an Anthem 1140 for a 7.1.4 system?

I’m not very knowledgeable on any of this. However I just got the rp-1600sw to replace my 2 older 12” subs. I put the gain around the same as the 12” subs at 6 and there was almost no bass coming from the sub. Does this one require the gain to be turned up?

I have the same exact subwoofer RP600, as of late last night mine quit working as well I called Crutchfield they want me to take the plate amp off the back of it and check for connections will update very aggravated at this point😫😫

I like the Klipsch better I don’t find them too bright at all. I have expensive components too though, I prefer their bass and sensitivity to the Polk for sure. The Polk do have better mids to me the horns can scream in the mids too much on some tracks: I’m not on a budget at all but lots folks are. You can buy the Klipsch on sale around 1K delivered if you shop around. The Polk are gonna run closer to 2K. Open box or something maybe little less but still quite bit more. Your also gonna need drop more coin on the amp imo than with Klipsch.

From what source was the sound demo scene in the end then?.

I have the xtz cinema speakers and have owned many different subs then. I think my next subs is going to be either the cinema 1×12 edge or the velodyne deep blue subs. The db12 was the sub of the 2022 then.

Yes. My space in my home cinema is only 15m 2 with sealed room and a door, so i think it is better with 2 or more sealed 10 - 12 inch subs then.

Denon has push-push woofers just like devialet or Vifa... Nice speaker, B&W on the other hand sounded like a toy in comparison with my Copenhagen 2.0

I am surprised that you have not yet compared the sealed model and the bass reflex model in the SVS subwoofers. It is often said that sealed models are better for home cinema. Kind regards.

I just got one 1400, and I also have an older RSW-12, which is sealed and used to be their top sub. My plan is to buy another Klipsch RSW-1400 to have a matching set of bookend subs in the front. Time and money!!!

So, I'm using 6 height channels. Front heights at 30°. Rear Heights at 150° and Top-Middles at 100° (between my front row and back row). Its pretty much perfect for all three formats. Atmos works perfectly fine with heights at 30/150. Its just better if you are able to mount a Top-Middle between them. Auro3D can use those Top-Middle speakers as the voice of god

I have owned velodyne hgs 18 20 years ago and Def tech supercube 4000 there the amps died after a While then. On the hgs 18 i was taking out the amp and sending it back to the shop i bought it from, and getting a new amp a few weeks later than, and it works as it should then and NO problem with it. So all amps regardless of price and the mark can fail then. Sold my svs sb 16 u a few years ago and the new owner e-mailed me that the amp died but the guarantee had gone out on it by a very short time before it then.

Oke, I am running the RP1600-SW for 3 months now... no issues... Gain at +7.5Db... LFE... works like a charm... Plate Amp still doing fine... THe driver can't die I believe...not this heavy... THe Amp aint strong enough for that Driver.

I agree a subwoofer at this price should not be able to beat itself to death, and the amplifier should be well-protected from exceeding the capabilities of the electronics, but what you're describing doesn't really bear that out. Sure, if you have confirmed in your room that you can sweep or hit peaks at 115 dB for the full frequency range after calibration, everything is a-ok. Otherwise you can have calibrated at a lower volume, and then when going to reference the amp was overdriven trying to keep up. As I said, the amp should be protected from doing this and compress or limit its output instead, but the gain knob on the sub is not a good indicator of how hard you were driving the subwoofer. Here's to hoping this one keeps up in the long run 🤞

would you be able to use this as a monoblock for a higher end center speaker ? I have 2 high end L/R dynaudios and a matching center the L/R are on monoblocks, dont want to buy a third one for the center only. Was thinking this would be a good option for it?

Such a breath of fresh air to find someone from your own country reviewing audio equipment. Awesome upload. I’ve currently got the Polk max ax sr soundbar, R200’s definitely next A/v purchase. Once you’ve started listening to brands such as Polk, klipsch, monitor audio etc, your conventional brands just doesn’t cut it any more.

Levels must be matched. Otherwise the louder speaker may skew preferences.

Also, I've always wondered which was better, the older Polk RTi12 or the R700...

What's so sad is retailers are not setting these up properly. I heard these when taking my buddy to look at TV's and the store just had them sitting on a shelf pumping into an open room, they sounded muddy and flat. So glad I heard them at your place where that mid-punch was there and they were amazing for movies and music. These were amazing, likely as good as my Cornwalls in certain ways at a quarter the price.

I have not seen any reviews about the Krix speakers in magazines or on the Internet. I wonder why ? And also forum web pages and CZcams

I was listening through my headphones and I must say, the Polks does it for me. Horn tweeters are harsh in general, so R700 all the way baby.
