System of a down has always been a band I can relate to I'm native American my tribe is Navajo just like his people our families survived the genocide so we could be here
I think it’s meant to be something everybody can relate to. The Armenian genocide btw was very brutal and mass graves of women and children who had been taped on a daily basis were found. Not taking away from your culture but we should all mourn together when a great harm has been done to people of good faith..
Survived the genocide lmao you guys lost bruh. Literally look at the history of every nation there’s blood on their hands ....even on YOUR ANCESTORS! Lol feuding with other tribes you can’t tell me that wasn’t genocide? Fucking natives bro you all are the same
i have a feeling serj would become an sort of leader in a made society in the apocalypse, the way he speaks sounds like he would want to rebuild the earth after a massive catastrophe, if there is an apocalypse and he survives long enough and manage to build up a village or something i would follow him and have him as my leader
Indeed, it wasn't the duduk (the reed instrument that sounded like a clarinet that Arto Tunçboyacıyan played) that we know from the album leading the melody, but still the same tune and just as heartfelt...
Muslims Arabs were the only ones who actually helped Armenians. during the genocide the Muslim Arabs welcomed the fleeing Armenians into their homes, into the country, into their hospitals and into their workforce. I am the grandson of armenian genocide survivors. My father was born snd raised in Iraq. Daron has a song called Babylon where he talks about “running to Babylon… meet you in Babylon” He’s talking about his family and thousands of Armenians who fled the genocide and landed in Iraq. The home of Babylon.
Falava do genocidio armenio, a música que o Daron ta tocando é uma forma de respeito e homenagem a todos que morreram pelo governo da Turquia, quando os muçulmanos mataram milhares de cristãos lá
This should be played at the sentencing of war criminals Bush, Obama, Cheney, Clinton (both of em), and Trump. Oh and let's not forget Mr. Eurdogan and Netanyahu.
This is actually closer to "Tired of living" than Arto. Look it up. Also, hats off to that Turkish meyor. We wouldn't have System of a Down were it not for him.
Slayden Reed Yes, only one of them was actually born in the US. And I though they were interested in their cultural heritage and creating links with the people in Armenia proper.
Uğurtan Savaş Buddy that is one big denial tactic. As if Armenians were so militarily strong and they killed so many Turks? Please my friend just use logic.
Conquer1 I know What you mean but remember russians was militarily strong, and Please my friend read some books And u ll see russians used armenians to revolt by giving them guns money..And turks had to protect their land..ı know your books are different from real history and u see russians as ally thats y you cant use Your logic however ı know you will be able to make it And reseach the truth by using your great Logic my friend...
Uğurtan Savaş My friend I have read various books on this subject. And the reality is the Turkish version of this history is state sponsored and supervised. And the ironic thing is Raphael Lemkin invented the word genocide in direct reference to the Armenian massacres. This event is unequivocally a part of history confirmed by intellectuals from all around the world including the the genocide scholars association. The notion that Armenians killed so many Turks is a modern myth used by the Turkish government to justify its denial. It’s truly pathetic. I don’t speak as an Armenian I have been educated in western society, I have the right to my own opinion and I follow the opinions of the majority of historians and intellectuals (not state funded for political issues) I have never been to Armenia my grandparents were orphans in Lebanon, I don’t know who my great grandparents are either along with every other Western Armenian I meet. So please brother, Armenians are a big part of ottoman history, the Ottoman Empire was filled with many religions and cultures. Modern day turkey is filled with Turks and Kurds and a nationalist agenda.
Conquer1 sponsored and supervised?? This is so irreverent for victims of bothside my friend the books u ve read might be sponsored..look my friend ı ve listened to alot of turkish people who survived they were all children when this happens and beleive me if u had a chance to listen to their stories you may be understand what ı mean..they were all turks and all their families were slaughtered in türkish land..and ofcourse they should have protect their land noone can call this genocide..
Uğurtan Savaş Yeah well I’m sorry that happened. It was a big war. But only a government has the resources to conduct a genocide. Were Turks killed by Armenians? Yes. Did Russians provoke Armenians? Yes. But the measures of the young turk government was unprecedented. My entire race was slaughtered and exterminated. But I’m done talking about this, and believe me the Turkish government has totally brainwashed its citizens but if you go deep in the heart of Anatolia they know exactly what happened.
System of a down has always been a band I can relate to I'm native American my tribe is Navajo just like his people our families survived the genocide so we could be here
My hair is long and never cut to honor you, i have a little Havasu in my blood and i try to appreciate it.
I am a Native American woman, and I can feel every bit of this. Cherokee, Blackfoot, and Cree Nation. 👍❤

Why I just love when he gives a speech in some concerts?
Because his words make more sense than the entire crazy happening in the world.
γιατι είναι απίστευτος ρε φιλαρακι
Because his voice is that good. When people say that he would recite the dictionary and still be amazing, they mean it
I got chills all over my body. Right as Serj started talking, i just felt the pain.
thank you Armenia for giving us the greatest rock band to ever grace our speakers and stereos.
i have a feeling serj would become an sort of leader in a made society in the apocalypse, the way he speaks sounds like he would want to rebuild the earth after a massive catastrophe, if there is an apocalypse and he survives long enough and manage to build up a village or something i would follow him and have him as my leader
I second that
that wasn't arto that was a speech but still amazing
riskit4biscuit yt yes it was
Indeed, it wasn't the duduk (the reed instrument that sounded like a clarinet that Arto Tunçboyacıyan played) that we know from the album leading the melody, but still the same tune and just as heartfelt...
This song is actually closer to "Tired of living."
I'm not from Armenia but I can feel all the strength of their pain 🕯 may all their souls finds peace🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹
The Poet of the Apocalypse!!
Armenia be PROUD !!!!!
This is Der Voghormia "Lord have mercy"
I AM MUSLIM. I STAND WITH ARMENIA
Because Muslims don't like fascists
@@suleymankorkma5955 very true! real muslims don’t stand with the turkish government

excelente aporte amigo por favor trata de colocar el concierto por parte completo necesito descargar los audio para mi i pod gracias!!!
Egalitarianism never worked. Armenia needs its kings to be back...
N faço a menor ideia do que ele falou mas gostei ;u;
The way he speak.. makes him look smarter
Because he is smart
You look like u ain’t
Serj is Tom Morello levels of smart guy
Oops.. Wrong video! SOAD rules though
👏👏👏👍✌️🙏🤘
Only I thought she was part of aerials '-'
This should be played at the sentencing of war criminals Bush, Obama, Cheney, Clinton (both of em), and Trump.
Oh and let's not forget Mr. Eurdogan and Netanyahu.
Der Voghormia
This aint arto. And you will never see SOAD do it live because nobody in sytem is playing the instrument in ARTO
Lead melody is from Arto, more accurate is from armenian church hymn Der Voghormia which was included as flute melody in Arto
This is actually closer to "Tired of living" than Arto. Look it up.
Also, hats off to that Turkish meyor. We wouldn't have System of a Down were it not for him.
I thought they could speak Armenian.
they can,i think he said at english because many people were watching this show on youtube, and maybe armenians can understand english well
Kuba Skrzypski They're a band from America tho
serj doesn't very well. the rest of them probably also don't
Slayden Reed Yes, only one of them was actually born in the US. And I though they were interested in their cultural heritage and creating links with the

Pa šutiraj deeečkooo!!! If it's as you say...
