I was watching a reaction video of Holy Mountains and one of the comments mentioned the power in this performance and it was a suggested video and I started crying just looking at the thumbnail. I'm a 29 year old American male that just loves SOAD's music. I know the meaning of this song but it's something that I've never personally dealt with and will probably never have to deal with. I am still moved to tears imagining how much this meant to everyone in the crowd.

He stopped, mid pit, aimed and pointed his fone back at me, i smiled, waved and last i seen was him just get bodied by others enjoying the gig dancing, like dave grohl said 'ya don't come to my gigs to fight, you come to f8cking DANCE!" and i feel like that should apply to a sea of fonescreens everywhere, basically ruin a concert for genuine enjoyers 101 and lets me know what type of crowd it is. (TOOL did a brilliant thing and stuck little green stickers over each persons camera or would be chucked out of the arena but was all seated, so no moshing, brass against were support and brilliant, and sans pissing on faces but hey, ya can't win em all)

I learned about the Armenian genocide's existence through this song. To gain more info about it I borrowed a history book and watched some CZcams docs so I could learn more. I did this on my own, because in Sweden we don't get to learn about this. Tragic events such as the Armenian genocide, the great leap forward, the purge in Soviet Union etc. goes unacknowledged. And it sickens me. I'm so happy that bands like SOAD make these songs to shed some light on these disgusting events. Rest in peace, may we never forget the victims.

Finally heard this song last night live for the first time. Me and a bunch of other Armenians were crying in the audience. But I had to come back here, something about this being played live on the centennial of the Genocide in Yerevan just hits different.
Quite a powerful piece of music to perform in Armenia. It’s beautifully unique and new while being ancient and tribal at the same time.
Hearing them live is something else.
This had to be amazing for them to go home and play this for their peers and the ghosts of their ancestors. Such an amazing, underrated song.
Not gonna lie, as a right fighter I cried the whole time. I cannot even imagine what it’s like to have the slaughter of your people downplayed and unrecognized by so much of the world. What it’s like to live with the fact that it happened but cowardice prevails and governments around the world didn’t want to upset turkey for so long.
