    I think INTJ women have additional internal struggles because we often are viewed as more "masculine," so many of us feel the need to overcompensate by going out of our way to be nice. It gets exhausting sometimes.

I think perhaps you just see the masculine attributes in yourself, and it is kind of amplified in your mind.

    "My surroundings are boring but I gotta fake reactions so that I look normal in the eyes of other people."
    ~INTJ
    Edit- Boring not in a narcissistic way but boring as in finding it difficult to mingle with people and situations. It's always disappointing to people when I don't react in the way they expect me to be. And it's considered weird and sometimes abnormal and sociopathic, right? We can't be straightforward as well because the truth always hurts to people and we know that very well. But we are also mostly the ones to tell someone bad news and that makes us look like a person with less emotions and weird. I also know when to say sorry but because I'm often right people get annoyed. My surroundings are always predictable so I know when to fake just to look "normal" because that's what the society wants you to be, isn't it?? SO, IF YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO GOT IRRITATED BY MY COMMENT, THEN JUST IGNORE IT. NO NEED TO RETORT. I GET IT!

      I don t even have to fake it anymore. I always say i am bored. Maybe people are tired of hearing that. I thought my boredom was a type of psychological disorder. Guess is just my personality. I feel i am too intense for people. I am on a different speed. When i feel ,i do with all the intensity. If i could, i d spend all my time searching for solutions to problems. When times come to test my own strategies it gets boring because i already know how is gonna come up. I like developing strategies ,i don t need them.

    It's worth pointing out that INTJs are the most likely of all types to get interested in the MBTI. We want (perhaps even NEED) to understand everything...including ourselves.
    Our Fi makes our emotions and inner workings somewhat enigmatic to us, but then we hear someone else explain it and the light clicks on. To a personality type that is not used to being understood, by themselves or others, it can be illuminating--and somewhat creepy--to hear someone explain the way their mind works.

Especially the intuition and thinking parts. I've always struggled with that, but now I have a better sense of what's going on. And also about how other people think and why. At the core of every Intj is an extremely lazy individual. We want to optimize our lives so greatly to the point where we don’t have to ever worry or think. We’d rather put in an insane amount of planning and energy into something now so that it pays dividend for us in the future.

      INTJ doesn't think for themselves (Te) so they can literally become whatever their feelings decide. If an INTJ is born with evil feelings then it's very difficult to get them to change by using logic.

      Projection? I grudgingly wear the INTJ label as a matter of convenience because it's the closest fit, but I think we would need a separate category for every individual before we all fit neatly into little boxes. The theory says that I will have much in common with other INTJs, but I find this to be true only in the broadest sense. The differences are great enough that I do not find the categorizations very useful at all. "INTJ doesn't think for themselves?" That is ridiculous. We all think for ourselves. We just process information differently. And no one is "born with evil feelings." We are all products of our circumstances and how we *choose* to react to them.

    • @savvageorge
      @savvageorge Před 4 lety +1

      @@michaellovell2518 I think people who are born with evil feelings definitely exist. There are numerous documentaries on CZcams about real-life teenagers who became cannibals. I'm ENFP with INTJ partner.
    He keeps me on balance, he is very calm, down to earth, rational, methodical. A very good listener. He gives me the stability I need, never had any reason to doubt his commitment and devotion.
    On the other end, I keep him lively and open to possibilities. I'm passionate, a free spirit, talkative, adventurous and curious. I make sure he has a social life as well, although I also have a need to retire from social life, so I'm not too pushy.
    I'm true and sincere, the open-book type with hidden chapters he always loves to explore.
    We share many hobbies, we love to discuss about anything, and he told me I "opened his eyes and expanded his world". Thanks to me he is more in touch with his emotions, while thank to him I find a safe place when my emotions take over. I really saw a transformation in both of us during the years; we both became more stable, lovely, health and overall better people. We have our differences but our communication and chemistry is so good, they are not a problem for us. His pet name for me is "my little ray of sunshine" and I absolutely love it.

    When you said that INTJs despise having to react to something in a specific way. That is so true. When I was little I despised birthdays simply because there would be presents and I would feel pressure to be happy and excited about presents I didn't know if I would be excited about and that gave me so much stress I decided to not have birthday parties. Even now I only enjoy receiving gifts if I can be authentic. If I hate the gift I wanna say it and have the person not be upset. I have to really trust the person for them to give me a gift.

    As an INTJ, I always think about how to achieve my dreams in the most righteous way possible. But when I try to work over something, I always observe what happens around me. Through my observations, I always come up to the same conclusion - everything we do for this thing called life is fake, dictated by the society. Freedom is not real because since you were a newborn, the society has embedded unto you a certain way of thinking and behaving. Heck, I think I'm not an INTJ because I'm an INTJ. Becoming an INTJ has been influences by things I've learned and experienced. That means I am an INTJ because the society made me to become one. I dont know if that makes sense but yeah.

    Feelings are controlling and irrational. They don't follow reality, nor morality. You cannot see what's real if you're angry, sad, happy or scared. They create illusions. But I realize, there is no mind without heart. If you didn't feel, you wouldn't care to think. There is a time and place for opening your heart. We usually do it in a comfortable environment. That is why we value home so much. You are more likely to catch your irrationality when you are alone. I've chosen to live for morality. What I've noticed is the ignorance of people. Choosing to step into peoples lives constantly is dangerous, every action you choose in your life is out of control, you're bound to affect someone negatively. The one thing I'm still unsure of. Is it better for people to live blissful ignorant, or hopelessly aware?

    • @ohboy1113
      @ohboy1113 Před 5 lety +9

      Feelings are irrational. Emotions can be rational and thus useful in motivation. I don’t become more feeling at home, I become more emotional at home, because home is where I find motivation. It is best suited towards any long term goal to be aware, but if it’s hopeless awareness, and the prospect of reaching the goal is none, there’s no goal driven reason not to be ignorant.

    • @nightcrawlergap1733
      @nightcrawlergap1733 Před 5 lety +10

      @@ohboy1113 It seems more often than not that emotions come with feelings. Maybe not as much for fe inferior. But when something hits you hard it's probably safe to assume your minds going to be affected. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with instincts, which aren't controlled consciously. Wouldn't really be adept at controlling that if we were to assume INTJ's "Feel" less. Actually no I'd definitely be able to control it if I didn't deem it less than rare. Really depends on if I'm focusing on something else. I don't think it would be hard to catch yourself feeling rage(though the unlikely circumstances).
      What I mean about aware or ignorant: most people you talk to are not IN and therefore would not be used to knowing the secrets of existence or life. If you came across an ignorant believer in Christianity, would it be more moral to let them live on in their happy world or, somehow manage to convince them what's real? Just an example.

    Yes, one of my weaknesses used to be “not knowing how to jumpstart my big ideas”. But, at 40 now, I’ve learned to be my own “motive power”. I create the vision, put together the plans, gather the resources (human or capital), and start and get going. What comes across as “procrastination” is really a high level, “unconscious processing & gathering” of information. We run “tests” for possible flaws in our mind way before we even disclose our plan to others. Once the plan is revealed, trust me, it’s perfecto. I guarantee it. Although, we don’t make “B plans”, but if our current plan runs into a wall, we automatically recognize the “variables” at play and we did consider those too and no worries, HER IS A NEW PLAN. Wow, you say! How do you do that? Well, I ask myself the same question. Those who know me either fear me or have reverence for me, not that it’s even necessary. It’s something I’ve noticed. I will always have the last laugh, if you mess with me. WE ALWAYS HAVE THE LAST LAUGH because we know and shit coming across the Atlantic Ocean. 😂🤣. It’s kinda “uncanny”. My mind makes its own plans to save me and help me without my conscious involvement. It’s like having an “omniscient/omnipotent” mentor/bodyguard. I always feel safe no matter what is going on around me.

    The intuition part is quite accurate.
    When I work in a group project, I formulate everything but somehow, I don't really know how... It sounds like a cumbersome job to some of the people in the group or sometimes they enter the state of utter bewilderment. When in reality they hadn't been listening to the actual plan with any signs of seriousness.
    After systematically planning I don't ever double doubt myself. The only time I double doubt myself after planning is when others are questioning my way of thinking and repeatedly stating that, "Planning is unnecessary." Even if we have got ample time in our hands! (It's because they don't tend to think analytically. In my opinion obviously.) Which isn't really helpful, it builds a lack of coordination within the group. So in such cases, I start making prompt decisions. Nonetheless, my precise initiation does what it's meant to do and I find it to be absolutely delightful! as an INFP, i often have rly good chemistry with INTJs and admire them for their logic and ambition, but sometimes they can be dismissive or even condescending without realizing, and it can hurt.
    Ex: my mom is an INTJ and although we get along usually, sometimes she doesn't get my interests.
    I feel like INTJs can be both very progressive but also adverse to new perspectives, if they're convinced their way is right. Which makes sense, considering their Ni.
    In general though, i really like them! Their teritiary Fi seems to always be present in the background, which is nice-esp compared to their ENTJ counterparts.
    I think that INTJs and INFPs are actually better suited for each other than INFPs and ENTJs, or INTJs and ENFPs, because you're not trying to mash two opposites together. The INFPs Ne compliments the INTJ Ni, they have in common the Fi function, and they both value their individuality.

    INTJ is by far my favorite type!
    As an INFJ, firstly I began looking into them out of curiosity; "what would I be like if Thinking dominated instead of Feeling?". And the more I read about them, the more similaires I see between us. My dear friend who is more like an older brother to me is an INTP and I think him being such a big part of my life shaped me into being more logical or at least made me value rationality a lot; perhaps, that's the reason why even as a Feeling type, I still find INTJ-s pretty relatable with the main difference them being rather discreet in comparison (which I respect). Too bad this type is perceived as villainous when they are just more honest, straightforward and aren't afraid to question "the norms".
    But anyway, thanks to all the admirable INTJ-s, you're amazing! (even though I don't have to tell you that for you to know it, lmao)

    As an intj i constantly find the agreeable personality trait in people to be excessively annoying. Agreeable people are not willing to become better or challenge things in ways that would doubtlessly improve them. They in general are just inefficient people who simply will not work for improvement. Furthermore i truly enjoy intellectual challenges and trying to have an argument with a hyper agreeable person is a painful experience. Even if they are intelligent they are unwilling to let it show and their pure lack of self is something that i sincerely disrespect.

    I'm similar to your said INTJ friend but with clocks. If there's not a clock in every room, I feel I wouldn't be able to keep my tendency to hyperfocus in check.
    There're now 5 clocks in my bedroom after I moved from 3 different places back to one. I bought another specifically for a bathroom. The only thing stopping me from putting one in the other bathroom is the humidity as there's no window in that one. Maybe I should put the clock in the windowed bathroom in to the windowless one then move one of my clock in the bedroom into that windowed bathroom. 😅
    A few more examples are with cleaning sets (detergent, fabric softener, dish soap, dish cloths, steel pot scrubbers, spray bottles filled with medical grade alcohol for cleaning) in any space near a faucet, as well as bags of essentials and stationery kits whenever I go out to minimize forgetting something if I need to switch among bags. It can get convoluted and me carrying a lot more but I rarely forget bringing my stuff and can just pull out things when needed. Many told me I'm over prepared but they ended up coming to me when they need the stuff I brought.😅

    • @MoPoppins
      @MoPoppins Před 3 lety +1

      Style & substance-or form & function-are two ways of saying the same thing.
      I don’t think one has to be sacrificed for the other. They’re NOT mutually-exclusive. I think of this from a design standpoint. Let’s say that an engineer designs something that works, but is ugly AF, and a designer creates a pretty object that’s admired and coveted for its beauty, but it either doesn’t do anything, or does it poorly. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. The right mind, or MINDS, can fulfill all aspects of design & engineering.
      We’re wired to want both-at least, some of us. Do you remember when trash cans has to be hidden away because they were so hideously utilitarian and dirty-looking? When the company Simple Human came along and created these high-quality designer trash cans, people were willing to pay $200 for a garbage receptacle. They can leave these out to be admired for their timeless and versatile beauty.
      In other words, they ARE equal because we value both equally, when done well.

So, my drum instructor was the only music teacher that taught me how to play an instrument. She did it by having me copy her playing one short phrase in a song I knew until I had perfected each and then putting it all together after I had mastered all the parts. I learned to read rhythm at the same time. I learned how to play the drums faster than I learned to play any other instrument.
