    Just got an ekit and it came with that PDP double pedal. Holy shit is it unusable. My entry level acoustic kit for $500 with 5 drums, throne, 3 cymbals, hihat stand, and all hardware provided a pedal that blew that PDP out of the water. I've had it for 2 days and I think I'll snag these instead. Thanks for the honestly in your reviews.

      No problem lol there’s no point in lying. You won’t regret getting the 600s.

    Can you adjust the beater Independently, the left beater I can adjust independently but it’s the opposite for the right. I have a alesis ekit with a relatively small bass pad which could be the problem of why I can’t play double bass. Any suggestions on what I could do? cause at this point I’m lost.

      You can adjust them independently. As far as your bass drum, maybe try smaller beaters if your issue is space but I don't mess with electric kits so I have almost no experience with them

      These are the iron cobra 600s. And I still use them. They're the perfect pedal for the price.

    Avoid using the RLS twitch to gain speed! I learned the hard way that you'll end up overtightening your pelvic floor muscle and have medical complications due to that. Heel up relaxed ankle motion (or even swivel) ive found is the safest and most effective means of gaining increased speed and fluidity. Double stroke/heel toe works too i just prefer to play single strokes personally.

      I’ve tried every method from heel toe to just power. Honestly the most comfortable to me is just power. I just uploaded a new drum video if you wanna see how my feet work. Thanks for the advice though :)

      These pedals just add a little extra umph when it’s needed. Plus I’m kinda over the ridiculously fast thing anyway.

    • @woll2633
      @woll2633  Před 3 lety

      Most of my footing is heel up plus straight single stroke power. Even for really fast now. The insanely fast shit honestly just isn’t my thing.

      Omg you don’t know how much this comment helped me. I’m having serious pelvic floor issues right now! What is RLS twitch?

    • @hughmungus5035
      @hughmungus5035 Před rokem +1

      @@Pat_11131 Sorry to hear that. By rls twitch I meant resting leg syndrome (I think lol been a long time since I wrote that comment) either way, you want to avoid tensing up your pelvic muscles while playing. There are ways to gain extreme speed without tensing too much. My personal favorite is ankle motion. If done right, you will feel like your feet are floating and you will get used to that feeling the more you play with that technique. Also get lighter beaters. That helps too.

      What? I put the beater backwards for a stronger attack. If you actually meant batter like the batter head, how is it backwards?
