    Thanks heaps for the review, you helped me greatly.... I was deciding between buying one of these two.... I'm going to go for the Speed Cobra HP91LN

    "I'm an alcoholic" lmao. Great way to start a video my man. I haven't had a sip of booze in 56 days now :) Several months ago I bought an acoustic kit and then a couple weeks later I also bought a ekit. I severely underestimated how loud an acoustic kit is. I have a Tama kick pedal. Hp30 I think. It's the cheapest one they make probably. At some point I'm sure I'll upgrade but for now I'm just moving it back and forth between the 2 kits.

    Haven’t tried the Speed Cobra but I owned Iron Cobra double pedal and there were threaded holes on far end of the foot boards for toe stops to be added. Keeps your toes from getting gnarled by the chains

    Just picked one up myself. Such a killer pedal.

    Both excellent pedals. SC is very smooth and a bit lighter feeling whereas the IC is also smooth but has a bit more punch and not as fast. Depending on the style of music fast is not always better per se… the IC has a more versatile and natural feel. I also have the 50th anniversary Carbon DW 5000 which is also fantastic and great for more chill music. Double pedals for all 3 and it’s not that I play much “metal” but it’s nice to throw in some double kick at times. Next purchase will be checkin out the DW 9000...
    Also, you can get toe stoppers… I have them on my IC and I couldn’t imagine not.. they’ve been on for 20 years and I’ve never thought once about removing them.

    Which beater did you end up installing on the Iron Cobra you have? Looking to replace my original worn white felty ones.

    Have you tried adding the toe stop plate for the iron cobra so your foot doesnt go into the chain?

    Hamm's Beer is why I clicked on this... (well also I love tama pedals, ok I lied about just the beer)
    but the hamm's intro zoom-in. but I'll see your Hamm's and raise you a Big Flatt's chitown pilsen poor-ass college student days represent

    I think if you put on shoes you’ll have a better experience protecting your feet from the elements. The speed cobra is awesome.

    It's okay, you can't be an alcoholic with American beer. That would be like calling yourself a porn addict because you have Sports Illustrated.

    You will learn heel toe like the other drummers one you realise its easier to not use the heel in heeltoe

    ...But you spent 500 bucks on a kit and then 500 bucks on two pedals??

    • @beatsplusbeer4042
      @beatsplusbeer4042  Před rokem +6

      Just $200 on the pedal, as I only plan to keep one. Also, I feel comfortable buying drums used, but not pedals as they wear out. Imo most of your money should be spent on cymbals, which I have yet to upgrade. My plan is to have about 20% of the kit’s value in hardware, 40% in cymbals, 20% in the snare and 20% everything else.

    Bro is the speed cobra 910 heel toe friendly?

    • @beatsplusbeer4042
      @beatsplusbeer4042  Před rokem

      Yes. I specifically found it easier to do doubles and triples via the heel toe method on the speed cobra. That said, I felt singles were *marginally* more difficult to control on the Speed Cobra vs the Iron Cobra. Just feels like you have more board to move, which was weird for me coming from the shorter Iron Cobra HP900 pedal.

    • @danialmuhamad9910
      @danialmuhamad9910 Před rokem

      @@beatsplusbeer4042 make sense...its like axis paddle...its super light and the rebound is much lighter too...the normal iron cobra is much heavier and suits singles much better...i guess i need to get both for different playing style...
