  • Who says the PRS Silver Sky can't be free from all the guitars that used to be? No? ANYONE..?
Well moving on and getting over that terrible pun... this years addition to the Silver Sky line up, to us at Peach Guitars, has rounded out the model perfectly and establishes the model into a guitar realm of its own. We love it!
In this video, Jack takes both Silver Sky model types, the maple and rosewood variants, through their paces and takes a deep dive into how these two variants stand up against one another as well as to the other competitors out there.
Both sonically and in feel the maple and rosewood variants have fantastic yet different character, they really can suit any kind of player in terms of their tone and versatility as well.
Stepping away from some stereotypes that have unfairly been placed on this guitar, the PRS Silver Sky is in its own right a brilliant addition to any players collection. You should really get your hands on one for yourself (while you're at it make sure to check out both variants!) so you can experience what these guitars can do for you yourself!
Please leave what you think of the PRS Silver Sky model in the comments below and which one, maple or rosewood, you would take home yourself!

The first time I played the Silver Sky was at guitar center and I was blown away. I played another one at a different GC to make sure it wasn’t that one guitar and I was still amazed by it. Ended up buying the polar blue color with maple neck and it immediately became my number one, I absolutely love it. I think the people who caused this guitar to be so controversial are just John Mayer haters and clearly have never played the guitar

Bout 15yrs ago me and my friend were talking saying that, for us, we didnt like the fender neck. If there would be a strat body with PRS neck, that would be amazing. Who knew?

I prefer the feel and tone of the rosewood fretboard

Why didn't you play one riff with one, than the same riff with the other... Doing an actual comparison, instead of playing them both for 10 minutes each..

The PRS sliver sky color options are so much better than most fender strat solid colors currently available. Nothing sadder then a cool guitar with ugly or limited color choices. American professional colors … olive green really??

Last year, I got myself the PRS CE24 and I grew really fond of the neck. But I love maple fingerboard strats. Can anyone tell how close the MN of the Silver Sky is to the CE24?

I own 3 newer Ce24, one being the DW Floyd, it has a maple cap and there is def more spank to it. Don't know how much old it has to do with the the pups used but it's definitely noticeable, the cleans imo are the most beautiful i have ever heard anywhere

Great playing as usual, and an excellent comparison video in the current situation where it is increasingly difficult to try these out in person

My man they could put a damned string on a nail on a broomstick in your hands that would sound good...so hard to hear the guitar for the Hella awesome way you play...Seriously dig your playing on any guitar ..but these silver sky guitars are incredible.just played the maple at GC..AND DIDNT WANNA PUR IT DOWN I played it right beside an American Professional Strat..and i even own a 96 Am Fender .was wanting the PRS...... however I did play the Japanese vintage 50s and that was just sweet also..
