Best way I have found is to use a 8mm inner bearing race (preferably a garbage w cage bearing as a doner) and to JB weld it to the spurs shaft on krytac spurs. You do have to throw the krytac spur in a drill and use a grinding bit on a Dremel to remove the locking ridges on the axel since otherwise the bearing race won’t fully go on.
After that, it’s just a couple of shims that are needed.
Alec from Airsoft Mutations found it out first I believe.

Question: what is an "acceptable" current draw for a 50rps dsg, 8 tooth, shooting 1joule?

I'm so tired of not finding super flat bushings in every size. Cause I've been getting my rear end kicked by the last 3 gearboxes ( Ares, CA, and SRC ) even with my flattest bushings I've been constantly running into the same problem.
Gearbox is too tight to shim the gear at all. Not a single of my thinest shims. Heck even with no shims at all my SHS and even stock vfc gears are just too tight to rotate.
Sometimes even when I'm useing the super flat matrix meteorites it happens. The spur I can shave down the center block. But there isn't anything to shave on the others.

Prometheus actually sells the spacers for these now if you want a simple buy and forget replacement. I used to do a ton of shims to fill it out lol

I have a Krytac that I tried shimming the motor to bevel alignment. I got it spinning much freer by getting them aligned better to 90 degrees. Afterword, the motor sounded better and the mesh looked better, but in semi, I would often get 2 shots and inconsistent stop position of the gears inside. I'm not sure how to fix it, so I put it back to stock where it fires correctly, but feels like the motor is working harder. Can you recommend a fix?

break open your old Wcage bearings. The center races make a perfect shaft spacer.

I know this question is a bit random but can you count the tpa on a motor winding without taking the wire off

Have you considered making a video on why gears strip? Like bevels, spurs and so forth? Might be good content for noob techs like me. Idk

Make the spring glow with a lighter, then let it cool in the air and press it together on the gear, the spacer is done.
