I'm glad this movie won the poll because I really loved it! I am a little familiar with Barry Allen from the live action DC movies but never really got into watching the animated DC movies. I also was told there is an order to watch these as well. SO maybe I will continue and watch more DC animated movies.

Justin Chambers AKA Grey's Anatomy's Alex Karev played Flash and Kevin McKidd AKA Dr Owen Hunt played Thomas Wayne.
The Wonder Woman and Aquaman got heavily cut down from the comics, a lot of fans at the time were expecting this adaptation to be two movies. I'll try to briefly explain what happened in the comics if you want to know or if it helps make some of the conflict make more sense.
Spoilers
Wonder Woman gets lost out at sea and Aquaman saves her.
This leads to the Amazons and Atlanteans discovering each other.
An arranged marriage happens to unite the two nations and they plan to reveal themselves to the world and join the rest of humanity in a more diplomatic roles.
A couple of people on both sides don't like this so they assassinate the queen at the wedding. Aqualad gets framed for this and is killed by an Amazon before he can plead his case. Wedding is called off and tensions are high, Mera tries to kill Wonder Woman before war can break out.
Wonder Woman has discovered the plot to force both nations to war and tries to plead to Mera to let her speak to Aquaman, ends up killing her in self defense.
Aquaman is furious and full on war starts, quickly turns into a superpowered arms race which leads to Aquaman sinking the greater part of Europe so the Amazons don't have land to fight on. Rest of the world gets involved because a continent was wiped out.
Also in the comic version it opens with Barry at prison meeting his dad who wants him to give up on his case for murdering the mother . It's revealed Reverse Flash killed her and framed the father since he has spent a lot of his time messing with the past to cause as much pain to Barry as possible without causing himself to not become the Reverse Flash.
Thank you for that. I honestly thought it was a severe case of jealousy.

Honestly the DC animated movies are top tier and much better than most live action DCEU movies we’ve gotten over the years. Lol Which is actually pretty funny.

24:08 Shazam is the name of the Wizard who gives the power to other people when they call his name. The Wizard originally chose a man named Teth Adom of Khandaq (Egypt in our world) to wield the power of Shu, Heryshaf, Aker, Zehuti, Atum and Montu but (depending on the continuity) he either went mad with power or the Wizard judged him unworthy. So the Wizard searched for someone Pure of Heart to wield his power next and after a few millenia he met Billy Batson who told him that people who were pure of heart were a myth and that the best he could get was people who would try. So the Wizard chose him, a child, to wield the power of Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury. In the Flashpoint universe the power is spread between different kids that become one Shazam/Captain Marvel while in the main universe it's one Billy Batson who becomes Shazam/Captain Marvel who sometimes shares the power with his siblings.

This is a very pleasant surprise. Been a big fan of DC animated movies and series since I was a child. I think I've watched the entire lot but the newer films are more mature than the old ones

When Thomas says "the monsters this world can make", I think that's a subtle hint that the Joker of this world is Martha Wayne. That blew me away
Yup, and When Thomas found her and told her Bruce was alive in the other reality and they died which made him become Batman, she kissed Thomas, then killed herself.
Thawne aka Zoom is the one who killed Barry's mother and framed Barry's dad for it.
Also causes Alfred to be killed!
Though, to be fair, Barry killed Thawne by breaking his neck first. He was kinda sore about that.
@@shanerux8971 Because Thawne killed Barry’s first wife Iris when she refused to be with him and was trying to do the same to his second fiancée on their wedding day but of course Barry had no choice but to snap his neck to stop him.
The flash in the yellow suit is Eobard Thawne, also known as the Reverse-Flash or Professor Zoom. He was born in the year 2151 and was a fan of Flash, he was so obsessed with him that he replicated the accident that gave Barry powers, he also had surgery to have the face of Barry Allen
He was born in the 25th century in the comics
Honestly Reverse-Flash is perhaps the one of the most terrifying and yet the most pettiest villains I have evr seen. The lengths he'll go to ruin Barry Allen are pure insanity.
This movie is based on a comic book event called Flashpoint where at the end Flash ends up actually restarting the entire universe and giving all the stories a new beginning. Thats why in the comics they could retell the stories of the heroes we already knew and bring them back together for new stories.
Also that is why is a perfect start for the animated movies so the rest of them can have a fresh start.
Additional reason why a live action Flashpoint movie is a good chance to reboot the movies (if done right).

Zoom/Reverse Flash A.K.A. Eobard Thawne is such a greatly written Flash villain.
Before I saw the CW Flash TV show, *this was what made me a Reverse Flash fan.*
Hes genuinely one of the best villains. How do you stop an immortal speedster that can access your life from any moment and knows exactly how/when/where to hurt you the most?
Well... you dont really lol.
Also Alfred dies because of this. Thawne is mad he gets killed off here by Batman, so when he respawns again he creates this massive elaborate mental torture scenario that pits Bruce Wayne against Thomas Wayne. Both Batmen suffer immensely from it and Alfred even gets killed. All because Thawne was mad a completely different Batman temporarily stopped him from torturing Barry some more.
You think theres some massive conspiracy behind all these events that are tearing down Bruce's life for like a year... then its revealed nope, Thawne is just taking it out on Batman.

This movie is the one that starts the DC animated universe, but I recommend you watch independent movies first, like Batman Under the Red Hood or The Dark Knight Returns
The movies that come after this are mostly average/bad but some people overhyped them. Definitely the best ones are before Flashpoint Paradox (like the ones you mentioned).

This is easily one of the best animated DC movies to this day.
(At 5:50) I know that despite the Flash is continuous battles with The Rogues, the Rogues DO have one rule:
They don't kill people when they rob.
First it was they don't kill women and children. Now I'm beginning to think they don't kill people in general, when robbing.
A rule that was probably made by the leader of the Rogues, Captain Cold.
Yeah the rouges are essentially blue collared men , so this is a job to them and are pretty cordial with the Flash
The interesting thing about Eabard Thawn/Reverse Flash/Zoom is that he is actually a huge Flash fanboy from the future. The curator of the same Flash museum that they blew up near the beginning.

To answer your shazam question, no the user doesn't have to be a child. Billy (not including the movie or new 52) was chosen because despite what he's been through he remained pure of heart by the wizard's standards.
The reason you see so many kids is because he can pass some of his power to other people which usually ends up being his adoptive family/siblings. Though I don't know why timeline needs multiple kids.

Barry Allen almost destroyed the universe because he missed his mom.

Barry's mom gives him one of the best advices, thats why I love this movie, one of my favourites superheros.
There is a specific DC animated universe that is connected it is easy to tell because they all share this art/animation style. Some are more directly related to each other while others are a bit more stand alone. I think they're good enough to watch them all from beginning to end. Justice League WAR is the first.
I hope you continue with the DCAU. The rest of the films are very underrated and very enjoyable

"Seems crazy to believe that there's another dimension or world out there". Oh you don't know the half of it. Crisis on Two Earths is another DC animated movie that touches on the whole concept of the DC multiverse. Also one of the best DC animated movies with one of the most fascinating villains DC has ever pumped out.
Well the animated DC movies are notoriously known to be really good, and mostly better adaptations than the live actions
Dc animated movies have ALWAYS been over there live action for me (excluding a few of the bangers)

I saw this a year after my father passed away so it really got me emotional. What I wouldn't give to get a letter from him.
They made Barry Allen Young in the live action 🎬 movies ( the DCEU) so that the team would have a young member for the younger audience.
DC animated movies are very good compared to their Live action definitely recommend watching more and honestly Barry Allen story is a little screwed up because zoom is the one who killed his mother when the timeline changes

Was so excited to watch your reaction. I am a big fan of the animated shows and the live action shows too lol. Most of all my knowledge for marvel and dc comes from shows tv and the data/character books they had at Barnes and noble.

This movie is an adaptation of a storyline from the comics that led to the whole DC universe being rebooted into the New 52 universe, which is still around today
Actually, I'm pretty sure that the New 52 Animated DC Universe ended with the final film of Justice League: Dark Apokalips War (2020). In fact, now they have introduced a new DC animated film universe (so to speak) with three current films taking place, with the same new animation, i.e: Superman: Man of Tomorrow (2020); Justice Society: World War Two (2021); Batman: The Long Halloween Part 1 and 2 (2021). And it looks like the next film in this lineup is a new Green Lantern animated film called Green Lantern: Beware My Power, set to release this year.

Justice League Flashpoint Paradox is the first movie in DC Animated Movie Universe (DCAMU), a share universe..kinda similar to DCEU & MCU...there are 16 DCAMU movie in total...
Ya I was super surprised to see this pop up in my feed!!! Huge DC fan and one of my favorite DC animated movies. Usually, Zoom is supposed to be the Reverse Flash and his name is Eobard Thawne and comes from the future and just despises Barry. So glad you reacted to this

Different versions of The Flash: Barry Allen, Wally West, Bart Allen, Jay Garrick, Max Mercury, there are some others.
Yes Bruce’s Mother was Joker and obviously the father became Batman, however he was more brutal and used guns whereas Bruce doesn’t as he has a moral code.

I love and bought all the DC animated universe. Highly suggest watching more, and yes Bruce's mom became the Joker. The Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is my favorite but also the final in this series. All the animated movies after take place in a new universe so to speak
If you don't know much about Flash, I'd suggest Justice League: The Animated Series. It has Wally West (usually known as Kid Flash) under the mask but he and Barry are the two most popular and I personally think Barry's overused
The DC AMU is amazing! I swear if rhey were shown in theaters it would have been a saga to compete with Marvel's MCU.
