One thing that the Injustice comics and this movie did right, is display Superman’s tyranny in a slow progression. He didn’t just become an evil dictator over night. He implemented laws, warnings, reaching out to the people of the world in a way that made them trust he had their best interests at heart. But when it came down to getting his way, he was willing to do whatever it took to get there, and if the lives of his friends were that price, he was willing to pay it. The first Injustice game sees Superman in his final year, after he’s lost any and all semblance of the man he used to be. But throughout the years it took him to get there, you can’t help but sympathize with him a little bit. They made him a very understandable villain, even if some people still hate any notion of Superman being evil.
People are silly, it's another _dimension._ Like there's one where Kal-El landed in Soviet Russia, one where he was raised by the Amish, one where he was raised as Bruce Wayne and even one where he's a baby from Earth adopted by Jor-El on Krypton.
This movie didn't do it justice
Yeah, this is barely touching the upcoming Justice League movies from Discovery given back to Snyder. That's why hardly anybody really cares for his movies. Instead of just making them from just a regular story, he plans out his stories and makes the movies based off of comic books. The Injustice series or Knightmare sequence is supposedly too dark for any normal company, so Snyder and now Discovery will be completing the realistic version making the hardcore fans happy.
Look I don't nessesarliy ( sorry I wrote it wrong) hate superman being evil it's just that it's been done thousands of times and I am tired of it and it also gives a Lot of people the idea that that's the only way to make an intersting superman story and otherwise superman is just boring and not intersting as a good person and as a superman fan I am really annoyed by this
@@omarsalem1219 Well, honestly the biggest Evil Superman story to date is Injustice. No other storyline has done it nearly as well or as efficiently. A lot of people who hate evil Superman hate him because they think that it’s just something that happened overnight. Injustice makes a good point to show that it happened very gradually over the years, until Clark himself doesn’t recognize the man he’s become but fully believes that it’s what he’s meant to be in order to make the world a better place. But to be honest, there aren’t many Superman stories that I like in general. He’s one of those characters that writers struggle with because he’s far too powerful and making him relatable is difficult. Hell in the Death of Superman storyline I cared much more about Lois Lane and what was going on with her than Supes character. He’s just never been a favorite of mine, personally. That’s why evil Superman kinda works for me. It makes him relatable because it humanizes him with errors and mistakes of a common person. He too is capable of losing it, and that’s what makes it interesting. But that’s just me. Superman’s stories as of late have been ok but I think that the best thing they have done with the character is focus on his son Jon and have Clark act as a supporting character with Lois.
The moment with Selina comforting Bruce as he mourns Nightwing is one of my favorite Batman moments. In all the tv shows and movies I've yet to see Bruce shed tears like that.
The ONLY other time I can think of was when he read his father’s note in the Flashpoint Paradox, but even that was just a few tears…
They really need to put the "man" back into Batman.
First off, Flash’s death was hella dumb
Two, the fact that Reverse Flash was at the pub bc he’s sad he can’t troll Barry anymore…💀
Three, Krysta is so tiny and cute🐹✨
I despised the fact they killed off the Flash like this. It's so lazy.
@@spidzrman And stupid. It seems like something cw flash would run into too
😊😊😂😂😂
@@spidzrman 🤔 thinking about it, I pretty much agree with you there
It was me Barry. I was at your funeral.
Batman : “ the law must be followed”
Also batman : is a Vigilante who takes the law into his own hands
The GCPD backs him that’s why it’s fine. Also unless he kills then they have to go after him. That’s how it is
He meant moral law
@@TheEmpiresStrongest Yeah, especially when the police can't handle people like Clayface or Poison Ivy.
@@DarkseidsolosfictionTHE moral law? Or HIS moral law?

Love the chess game with Mr. Terrific and Superman, probably one of the best moments with Mr. Terrific beside some Justice League action stuff in animation
That scene was superman and flash originally
@@hassan-tm9lq Yes I know
Yo thanks for mentioning justice league action for a show aimed at little kids it was really good
@@omarsalem1219 Oh yeah Justice League action was a ton of fun, it was like Batman Brave and Bold mixed with justice League Unlimited, I wish it had more episode tho
I liked that they made wonder woman more likeable instead of the actual villain of the whole thing 💀😭
They disrespected the Flash in this
unless they wanted Barry Allen's death to be why Wally West takes over the Flash persona in the Injustice franchise.
Injustice: "What would happen if Superman abused his powers?"
Injustice Movie: "What would happen... if Superman fights a generic villain and super robot for the umpteenth time?"
Injustice is a overrated crap.
@@mayotango1317 The movie is bad - the video game is fine (fighting games aren't my thing) - the comics are brilliant.
@@LadyDoomsinger Meh, all Injustice is so bad.
@@LadyDoomsinger the comics range from good to bad imo
@@primary2630 A more nuanced opinion, agree.
Man that's the only time I've seen DC animated movies drop the ball in a adaptation, the Injustice comics deserved so much better and a multipart adaptation.
What about The Killing Joke?
@Bigjoe707 what are you talking about the killing joke animated movie was pretty faithful it is a little weird that everytime t I Play the movie there is that strange fan fiction with batgirl that lasts for exactly 29 minutes It's a good thing it is not part of the main story and does affect it at all though and can just be skipped
@@bigjoeofthe707 aside from the werid Bruce and Barbara thing I didn't think it was really that bad the graphic novel is pretty short so It made somewhat sense they had to add another plot line into it as for this yeah I'm definitely disappointed they rushed this lol
Hush
Sorry but Injustice sucks.
3:35 I just love that in the Injustice Movie they kill of Flash right at the start, cover it for about 30 seconds and then never mention it for the rest of the movie. Sorry did I type "love" I meant "hate". I hate that part of the Injustice Movie. They should have done a tv show.
Nigtwing becoming deadwing is I think a reference to the character dead man , he’s the bold white guy ghost that wears the same outfit
Definitely not a fan of this movie, but I can’t blame them either they tried to fit a five (in comic) years long series of events into one film. Would’ve worked better as a show in my opinion🤷🏽♂️ Hoping u check out Superman/Batman: Apocalypse next
Agree
Facts
Agreed. Really hope she checks out either Superman: The Animated Series or Superman and Lois.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but the fact that a movie involving Superman becoming a dictator made Krysta like Superman more kinda worries me, as someone who, very recently, became a massive fan of Big Blue, all because he was a good man who loves humanity.
I'm not saying I hate the concept of 'bad Superman', but I've just seen so much of it that I'm kinda tired of it.
Maybe I'm spewing out words that make no sense, idk.
@@sofiyanali2489 to be fair I kind’ve get being more into evil Superman, on a base level Supermán is kindve boring because of how overpowered and Boy Scout like he is, at least to me, but it’s the stories and writing that make him interesting and not a lot of the animated movies have done a great job of that minus a few notable exceptions
It's totally their fault, they should have made a two part movie like the Long Halloween but decided to make one movie and change basically everything. That ending was so bad that was embarrassing
It isn't Batman's job to keep people locked up, it's the states job.
Also Joker wasn't killed for his crimes because he is classified as mentally insane which is also why he gets sent to Arkham instead jail
Yeah he wasn’t sent to blackgate. Blackgate is where the mobsters and criminals go.
Missed opportunity to have Alfred's moment from the Injustice comics where he takes the super pill to beat the crap out of Superman.
I would recommend reading the comic series after this film. The comics go deeper into Superman's downfall more than the film and shows a lot more of the DC Universe being involved.
We have to remember that Batman’s whole schtick is justice not vengeance so while he is a Vigilante he tries to cooperate with the law as much as possible which is why joker gets handed over to Gotham’s court judicial system where they decide where he goes. Honestly you’d think that Gotham PD would up security at Arkham
Batman when fighting criminals: I AM VENGEANCE!
Batman doesn't care about justice or the law. He's a criminal who does what he wants, when he wants, and uses his "moral code" to excuse his actions.
Give all-star superman a chance, by far one of the best dc animated movies. Supermn movies are usually dull but All-star superman is somethin special.
What about superman vs The elite?
Shazam is actually a very important character to the DC universe. He has several titles, including: Champion of Magic, and Guardian of the Rock of Eternity. He's essentially magic's keeper and a leader throughout the cosmos, which is why his lair has so many doors to different worlds. If he says not to do something, magic users know not to.
Pretty sure Joker should have gotten a death sentence a long time ago. Hell, I think Batman actually rescued him from one.
He should have been long dead. Maybe not at the hands of Superman, but he definitely was supposed to die.
I will say i do like how consistant DC is with the whole "The Joker is evil incarnate but u cant kill him otherwise everything goes to shit real quick". I mean first it was Kingdom Come, then Injustice, then Dark Knights Metal anytime someone finally puts the Joker down for good that entire universe gets clapped and all the heroes either retire or die. Really just shows how what Batman has to deal with isnt necessarily evil psychopaths but the personification of chaos and insanity itself in Gotham criminals that are only prevented from being the worst of the worst villains because they have their own limits to match Batman.
It's almost like he is the balance weight for Evil. His death results in another taking his place as evil incarnate. What of they keep him alive but in a death like state? A coma? Lobotomy? Removing limbs? Super special ultra jail?
I think the reason why Wonder Woman is the way she is in Injustice because her first exposure to man was Steve Trevor, but in this iteration Steve Trevor was a Nazi, not a good first impression to man's world
This movie wanted us to see Superman as the bad guy, but the only horrible thing he has done was massacre the idiots supporting Joker and kill Ollie. Other than his plot contrived psycho moments, he had an actual good thing going
In the games and comics, however, the guy's tyranny was no joke and crossed more lines than you can count
To help you understand how different Superman gets from Lois’s death to how he is in Injustice 1, read up on the “Injustice” comics. All of the material that you see here is moderately based on that. Injustice Years 1-5 along with Year 0, I believe. Flash has a MUCH bigger arc and role and it will help you understand why he switched sides. Also, it shows that neither Supes nor Bats were entirely correct in their stands and beliefs as Alfred Pennyworth was quick to point out.
*Injustice: Ground Zero* retells the story from Harley Quinn's perspective.
@@LadyDoomsinger While retconning a few details in the game.
@@ventusarashi Harley Quinn is an unreliable narrator.
@@LadyDoomsinger True.
@@LadyDoomsinger But her (mostly) unrequited crush on Shazam was pretty hilarious.
Batman and Catwoman in the comics have a daughter name Helena Kyle Wayne who becomes Huntress, Robin and Batwoman.
Wouldn't surprise me if Bruce and Selina's baby was called Helena Wayne.
I’ve always loved Bruce hypocritical thing about fear. “You’re scaring them” his whole thing is putting fear into criminals😂
Bruce has a place, Clark has his. It's not good if Clark operates like Bruce.
Criminals. He’s scaring the whole world bro 💀
@@adankmemeindisguise1654 Superman scaring the hoes
@@thebossrayden exactly
The difference is Bruce can scare ppl, he NEEDS to to be considered on the same level as Gods like Superman and Wonder Woman because he’s just a man at the end of the day, but being above societies standards would corrupt Superman like anybody else and he has the power of a God to back it up
The chess game between superman and mr terrific was originally between superman and flash in the comic and they were playing speed chess at super speed
Can't belive they killed my man flash. 😔
I remember what happened in the game injustice: gods among us joker linked a nukes trigger to Lois’s heartbeat and joker drugged superman and made think Lois was doomsday when superman killed Lois the baby died and the nuke went off destroying 8 million citizens
5:55 that's what happens when you ask for Superman to give you a high five
I think, with the current climate, you might want to watch Superman: Red Son. His ship didn't crash in Kansas. It crashed in Russia.
The way that the General was like, "It's ok when it is in our interest, but it is a problem when it's not." That sh!t pi$$ed me off, because that is BS.
And realistic to our world
Nightwing becoming Deadwing is based on the idea of Boston Brand becoming Deadman. Boston Brand and Dick Grayson are both acrobats.
This movie lost me as soon as they killed the Flash, they knew damn well that didn't happen in the comics or the game. This is a half ass version of the real story.
In the movie Batman’s an idiot. He seemed like he just wanted to be in control smh.
That is Batman.
@@mayotango1317 yes a control freak. But if anyone’s going to be one I guess him being one isn’t so bad 🧔🏽♀️
18:50
It’s easy to set up the rules and punishments when you think they don’t apply to you. Lol
In the comic he slips and snaps his neck, in the movie he's taken out by a single hit on the head. The writers have no respect for Nightwing.
In the original story, it was Wonder Woman who kept pushing Superman and things kept getting worse. Don't know what made him go so far in this version
"That was sad, i am sad" peak commentary hahahaha
Not everything in this movie is true to the comics and they made some massive changes and decisions with this movie on who was staying alive and who wasn't in the storyline of the movie and it was massive time jumps in this movie in my opinion it was a 7/10
facts
Yeah
Honestly I’m not a big fan of Injustice anymore since I’m sick of evil Superman and because Injustice Harley is the worst version of the character since everyone forgets that she’s just as responsible as the Joker for what happened because she’s popular. But I like this film more than the game since it has Plastic Man and I prefer the ending.
On god the flash dying like that is the dumbest thing ever. He could have fazed so the buzz saw wouldn’t kill him
Yo, Krysta and Editor were both popping off in this one. I laughed out loud so many times 🔥.
It seems that in pretty much every case where Superman goes off the deep end, it's always on the back end of something tragic happening to Lois.
Batman gon get mad at Superman for killing bad people when he has Harley who helped joker kill millions of people on his side with no punishment at all
personally this is one of my fav new voice actors for batman
I watched your Play through the game and enjoyed it “by the way nightwing in young justice is 18 years old”and all your videos are great this movie only shows the first year or months but the game takes place after 5 or 6 years plus the other years are shown in the comics.
this movie shows the first year but they took the plot for the whole 5 years of injustice 1 and some plot of injustice 2
You should react to Batman beyond return of the joker. One of the best batman stories.
this had to be at minimum 2 movies sadly. the actual story is pretty awesome. this is basically a bullet points summary.
8:08- Right? World Peace right? I'm with him. Be good or be dead, World peace in a day. Good job Superman.
In The Dark Knight Joker said he didn't have plans but everybody else does WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? Looks like Joker plans things out to me.
I feel like the Joker worded it poorly. What he means is he has no endgame, no goal. He causes chaos but doesn't particularly care what happens.
Superman vs the Elite is the perfect movie for you
yall blaming batman for letting joker live freely , the law could have sentenced him to death or a police officer could have done the job
I did enjoy this movie too. Makes me think of this expression "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
Even if you heavily dislike this movie, there are a couple of scenes you have to admit are cool like recreating the injustice superman's supermoves
They messed a lot up in this movie, but I will forever love the moment Catwoman and Batman have after Nightwing dies. When Bruce just… falls apart
damn joker got some good ass aim to shot through a camera while the guy was holding it
Hopefully soon you check out "All-Star Superman" and "Batman & Superman: Apocalypse". Both are incredible with great stories and animation!
There's a world of difference between Jim Gordon shooting the Joker in the head because he's about to blow up half of Metropolis when Gordon has no other way to prevent it and Gordon shooting the Joker in the head when he's in handcuffs because he'lll happily kill again.
Am I mansplaining here? Honestly I wish I was because that would mean everybody already got this _but clearly they don't._ *shakes head in disappointment*
Agreed. Also, Superman has to hold himself to a higher standard of self-control, due to his power. It may not seem fair, but it is necessary.
@@batbrick3949Well, no, "has to" ("imperatives") and "necessity/need/requirement" are myths, they never exist outside the imagination. Like us, Kal-El is entirely free to basically go postal, the universe doesn't care if everybody kills everybody.
However, there is a difference between a superhero and a vigilante and it's basically that superheroes don't punish. So your point about a higher standard is sort of true about Superman as _the superhero_ but it's not about power level so much as it is about impact.
EDIT: SPOILER: Example, Superman vs The Elite is kind of an utter strawman argument if you take it as being about Superman's power level but still has a useful message if you take it as being about social impact.
i like this movie in my opinion because some of the characters you hated in the games have a redemption arc
Superman didn’t become an evil dictator right off of the bat. That’s why some of the Justice League members were with him in the beginning. Power corrupts though, and it slowly corrupts, Superman.
The only good parts of the movie for me was Superman recreating both his Super Moves from the games, and finally: Plastic Man gets the shine he deserves! Well, he gets a fraction of what he actually deserves, but still a win
Idk if you ever grew up on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but the Batman vs. TMNT animated film is like a dream come true for those of us who are fans of them. It gives us fights we never thought we’d see & respects both franchises. Damian is in it as well. I’d highly recommend you react to it.
It’s honestly in my personal modern Top 5 along with Under the Red Hood, Flashpoint Paradox, The Dark Knight Returns, & Crisis on Two Earths. That’s not counting Mask of the Phantasm or Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. Those are classics obviously.
The thing ab joker is. Bruce does his job, the country and police force fail them all the time
If only this were a multi-movie series. I bet everyone would've liked to see the sheer horror of Sinestro Corps Superman.
Funny story about Batman killing Joker. There is a universe where he does kill Joker, becomes The Batman who Laughs, and destroys his world. Then he travels to different dimensions to recruit other evil versions of Batman. It's crazy
Remember *Deadman* from the *JL Dark* film, that's what Nightwing became in this film.
Wonder Woman was down from jump, like she waited years for someone to say it's cool to start ganking folk's, like "oh we killin em now? Sheeeeeit, it's about time, point me to them and I'm stabbing n slicing". Honestly, I think even the Justice League would be like "hey, we get it", if Batman just decided to off the Joker one day, because he was tired of his shit. Gotham city would probably throw him a parade with all the horrible stuff he's done to just the people living there. I'm not talking some obvious stuff like shooting him in the head in public, but say one of his bombs go off, Batman breaks them knees so he can't run out of the building? Hey, guess he underestimated his own explosives, then somehow broke his own neck trying to escape, it happens
TAS Batman to the Sewer King: _"I don't pass sentence. That's for the courts. But this time... this time I'm sorely tempted to do the job myself."_
That's the difference between a vigilante and a superhero. Superheroes don't punish.
18:36- See this is where I got to draw a line Superman. I can't outreason Mr Terrific. Dude is smarter than just about everyone. If he is against you, then we might got a problem.
"that's what I call a punchline"
the stupidest thing about this movie is flash dying like, no one questions what happened to him also flash can phase. through things and i don't care if this was 2months ago
it never gets old to see the Justice League battle A.M.A.Z.O. I hope James Gunn's DCU will include that kind of concept.
10:42 Yes that's Raven. My favorite DC female character and also is 99% chance she will be in the Injustice 3 game due to Ed Boon confirming that she will be in Injustice 3 from a Q&A back in November 2022
I honestly haven’t watched this movie yet but I’ve watched scenes and it’s actually pretty gruesome. A little busy right now but I’m gonna definitely gonna watch this tomorrow
I haven’t seen it either. I heard they rushed the story with cramming too many comics into one movie but it looks like a fun movie either way so it I’m willing to give it a shot.
I regret only not seeing Superman murdering the real criminals: world governments and military. Or at least completely scaring them into utter helplessness. Other than that, I completely hate the idea of "super hero civil war" to be honest
5:34 That one single line is why Injustice doesn't work. It's a fun "What if" scenario and this generation is obsessed with the evil Superman trope... but really true Superman would get over that Joker shit quick and go back to being the hope-powered boy scout. There's a reason for the Injustice story to work all the heroes are written to be weirdly out of character.
This is why I always make sure to obey the law and most importantly recycle and properly use trash cans in order to not litter
Also plastic man is actually insanely overpowered and Batman has few ways to slow him down if he ever turned evil but not ways to stop him
you should read the batman who laughs storyline since its kind of similar since bruce finnaly lost it and snapped jokers sneck.
Love the DC stuff keep up the good work
This reminds me of a DC version of Civil War. Team Superman for me (at least for the first half then I became team Batman) 🔥great reaction tho
Shoutout to your editor(s). They are hilarious.
You know. I’m starting think Krysta’s becoming a DC nerd like the rest of us
I actually would really like and support a romance between Batman and Harley Quinn, but pretty much only in the Injustice universe. In the actual video game/comic this is based on, Catwoman actually joins Superman. She later reveals she did it as a mole but Batman is still furious she just sat there while Superman did his thing and abandons her, at least until Injustice 2 when he has her act as his own mole. Meanwhile Harley genuinely turns her life around and basically becomes the newest Robin in all but name, becoming one of his closest allies and his second in command. If the Injustice Batman and Harley started having a fling I could actually see it make sense.
The comic this is based on is way crazier.
the movie for what it is was good, but honestly they should make a Injustice animated series that actullay follows the comic because it would really expand on the whole situation better
This movie really did the fastest man alive the cw flash treatment
I thought people liked CW's Flash
@@lewa3910 use too!! Only S1-4 afterward people dropped it cause it got bad

Never played the games, but I have read some of the comics, and I enjoyed this film. Some fans were disappointed because a lot of plot points and character development were omitted, but I would still like to see a sequel. Especially if they adapted the He-Man crossover.
Love the new setup
Its like a sped up version of the comic and game without the Interdimensional story.
I understand superman, when someone is in love its the greatest gift but also a huge flaw in the armor anything could damage or break it, a bad day, money troubles, trust issues, losing the love of your life, the one thing i sympathize with is how he had eveything and still couldnt save the one you love, i can relate, obviously im definitely not calling myself superman, but i once had eveything too, and she was perfect to me, she was eveything to me, and no matter what i felt i couldn't, didnt have a single bad day with her, i wanted to spend my life with her but sometimes forces in life, be it due to an inamite object or.. a person, losing the light of your life is a horrible experience to own.

you should watch all-star superman when you get the chance, its like the antithesis to this storyline and a great portrayal of superman
In the comics we actually get to see how superman orchestrates Alfred’s death…
This movie, and the comic it was based on, managed to make me hate this version of Harley Quinn. She KNEW Joker was going to trick Superman into killing Lois, and blowing up Metropolis with nukes, and she was more than happy to do it. But at least it was kind enough to show me that this version of Wonder Woman was ALWAYS Lady MacBeth, and not the ambassador of peace like the normal version.
This movie: "You killed a bunch of kids! My god, what have you become!?"
The game: "Billy had it coming."
Thank you editor 💀💀💀 we don't need Krysta in jail for nun
If you liked Injustice, I think you'll love my favorite DC Elseworlds movie - "Justice League: Gods and Monsters" (a truly original take on Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman)
