@@jizou1581 Depends on if the actor could’ve sold the role as well as Evans did. Plenty of actors aren’t anything special in their roles but some actually sell the performance so well that it’s hard to picture anyone else doing it.
Yeah, Chris really nailed it. Robert Downy Jr. nailed Iron Man. MCU did a great job casting!
The first two phases yeah, but after that they went into some weird ass direction and straight up ruined some characters in both shows and movies
Captain America's secret power is that he's really Steve Rogers.

What a quote- love this
The Captain was always Steve. Steve is the real hero.
It's just as true in real life as well. Being yourself really is a super power. It takes alot of courage and belief though. (Which I struggle with)
@@abrahamhawkins1754 I am 15 years old and I have advice for you. it worked for me so maybe it will work for you too. don't listen to fake friends, your real friends who know you for who you really are are much more important. wear the clothes that make you feel good, not the clothes that other people like. if you're having a bad moment do the things you love or talk about it with real friends. never forget every day is a new day and a new chance to be happy. Peggy Carter has a really good quote for this "I know my value. Anyone else's opinion doesn't really matter." I have been wearing a bandana at home and at the scouts for 2 years because I like to put it on. I was always afraid of the reactions at school, but since a few weeks I also wear it at school and now I feel happier. in religion class we passed a note around, everyone had to write something positive on that piece of paper. and at the end 16 students had a note with 16 positive things about themselves written by others. and our teacher said hang it somewhere in your room and read it whenever you feel sad. just be yourself and make up a superhero name for yourself. my superhero name is radioactive master the protector of Belgium or the shorter name energetic B.

Captain America never kidnapped a 4 year old girl and called it war. Warriors don't DO that.

From the moment he jumped on the grenade to the moment he wanted to fight Thanos his army alone, he was always ready to lift Thors hammer
But he chose not to ,know why ? ..Humility
Yes sir
and now Natalie Portman gets to lift it because Taika Bitchtiti
@notyourNormaldev he wasn't worthy to lift the hammer until after the events of Civil War
@@kubu9714 Steve was always worthy to lift Mjolnir. He didn't do it out of respect for Thor. There is no "almost worthy" or "not worthy enough". You can either lift Mjolnir or you can't. And with all due respect, with everything Steve has been through up to that point, all of the sacrifices he made and his willingness to keep on standing up for what is right and defending those who can't defend themselves - even if it cost him his life - you don't get any worthier than that. Civil War was merely a difference of opinion over accountability for their actions, not a defining moment for Steve's worthiness.
In that epic scene where he stood by himself. He was willing to go head on with Thanos and his army.... Alone.... chills.
Standing up against insurmountable odds, alone, and with a broken shield and a broken arm, and heavily damaged right thigh. you can bee the broken arm/wrist if you pause exactly at 6:08. Cap is nearly god level endurance and his will to never surrender is practically a force of nature.

I watched cap with my daughter so much, Id pick her up from day care and she'd ask to go home and watch it. She was also the first to say Red Skull when he showed up in infinity war. Proud dady moment.
Captain has been my hero since I was a child. He has a shield as a weapon, none lethal, but capable of saving lives. I've always been a man that runs towards danger, not from it. I named my guardian after him and he protects me. I simply can't identify with any other hero. Saving others and doing the right thing has been in my DNA for my entire life. I'm so glad that Evans played the character. I can't think of anyone else better suited.

No, Steve is smart. And he is a good judge of character by the endgame at least.
the only real problem I can see with him is that he would try to do everything himself and burn out unless he has someone to forcibly make him take good care for himself and that he would excessively see every fuckup as his personal failure

This video just reminds me of how good of a man Captain America is and why everybody loves him even non-Americans love him and that's because of what he stands for, doing the right thing even if it hurts you, your friendships, or your reputation. and standing up for the average person or the little guy. The fact cap is gone, and all the things he stood for.. equality and everything he swore to protect, brings a tear to my eye. Long live Steve Rogers
I'll be honest, I never really cared for Cap for the longest time. I was always a fan of Iron Man when it came to the comics, and he was my favorite in the movies. I never saw the appeal. Even after the first movie, I thought he was all right. The second movie really changed everything for me, and over time, Cap became my favorite hero and I look back on the first movie fondly. And I look up to him a lot.
A LOT of people slept on his first movie.
Since it isn't as fantastical as Thor or tech savvy & quippy as Ironman and is old fashioned.
It went right over their heads and they didn't catch it.
I guess everyone can't be DRAX.
@@surfersilver6610 How do people sleep on a movie? Do they just sleep on top of the projector? Besides, I wasn't tired.
Russo brothers.. they turned a walking flag to a badass beast.
The 2 points of the film that did it for me were when it was pointed out he'd tried to enlist 5 different times in 5 different cities and was so god damned loyal to his fellow man (Despite them routinely humiliating him once he got into the program) He was still willing to fall on a grenade for them without even a moment's hesitation.
It's the same reason he got the serum, a man that staunchly loyal and trusting without question? Say what you will about Thor's hammer or Tony Stark's iron-man suits, it made him stick out ahead of the pack.

I would've never bothered to look at your reply if it wasn't for that - I've turned off reply notifications. Too much drama on CZcams. Too exhausting. Just people arguing and arguing over fictional men in capes. Sigh. So dramatic.
The reason why Cap is my favorite super hero is because unlike other hero’s he would fight for what’s right no matter what without a moment of hesitation. Even if the syrum was undone Steve would still try and fight. Other hero’s fight because they have the power to and they fight because they know that “great power comes with great responsibility” but Steve fights because he wants to stick his hands in the mud and build something better.
Don't act like mah boy spider man isn't what u just described I do agree tho cap and spider are some of the few true genuine heroes
@@anti_detroid_ntr2785 only tobi and a little bit of andrew but not tom holland one's
Well said Ursomrano :)
@@newgrowingman1191 aha if i saw that 5 month ago i would totally agree with you, but now, i dont at all. And from an ancient Iron boy jr hater to another one, i hope NWH did satisfy you like it has for me (in term of the evolution of tom's spidey, who i think became a true spiderman)
Yes totally agree he's the best hero in the definition of heros
“I said we’d lose, you said we’d do that togethet too” “Isn’t that why we have to fight, so we can END THE FIGHT? SO WE GET TO GO HOME?” “Well guess what Cap, we LOST! And you werent there!” God, that made my eyes wet.
Steve Rogers might be the only hero who would be the exception for the quote “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”
No he died a hero
@@OmegaX171 He did, but if he lived, he would be an exception to this is what I meant
Actually he became a villain in a few comics
@@wyattedwards6132 he was right, heroes can’t be controlled by government, governments have agendas and interests of their own, they would use heroes as military and that would be chaotic, think if someone like Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Sentry, Hyperion, Blue Marvel and other Marvel heroes started to work as military for the government? many countries would be wiped out in seconds if a politician gave the instruction to do it. Heroes are heroes because they don’t answer to the corrupt politicians in the government
@@wyattedwards6132 tony fight for the world, steve fight for someone who have been treated unfairly by the world
This hits different after Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Yeah I feel that also
best comment ive ever seen
Agreed
We saw what happened when someone slightly less "good" got the power. And we saw what happened when someone that Steve believed was worthy of the mantle took it up, even without the power. In the end, Erskine was right. The power was simply a tool, it's the character of the person wielding it that truly matters.
Yea
Every time I need a good cry, this is one of the best. Forever grateful to have been here to witness the MCU. Thanks for making this video.
A good follow-up for you would be Ronald Reagans we must fight.
Captain America Steve Rogers is my number 1 fav superhero I really look up to him man on a personal level and on a elite level there was a time in my high school days I had a captain America shirt on and this dude said damn you look like captain America lol but I worked out a lot I was in the ROTC till this day seeing him pass that shield to sam beautiful moment seeing Sam as the new captain America I’m glad he continuing the legacy on i can’t wait for captain America 4
Here after Ep. 4 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. "Good becomes great, bad becomes worse". John Walker should know that.
Facts 💯
DAREDEVIL!!!!! GANG
Seen the fifth episode just now...he really fucked it all up😂...he can't even trust Steve's friends and imagines to idol him.
Erskine said to Steve "not a perfect soldier but a good man"
That's what John walker doesn't understand to be cap isn't to be a perfect soldier but a good man
Lmao watching the new falcon and the winter soldier series made me realize how much I miss Steve and that’s why you see me here today watching these videos 😂
Doctor: Not a perfect soldier, but a good man
70+ years later
Steve: You are a good man Sam
The amount of time and discussion that must be involved in crafting the scripts and the dialogue in these movies is unfathomable. There is hardly a throw-away line anywhere. Everything they say and do ties together in some way. The MCU is beyond a masterpiece.
The 4th episode of Falcon and the Winter Soldier shows the perfect demonstration of both these comments. It's incredible how Marvel hide and symbolise meanings within dialogues and actions. The greatest movies of our era.
Captain America's storyline contained the best character developments and dialogues
I've watched this video soooo many times. Makes my skin crawl every single time. I love this! Keep doing this!
I've watched this probably like 100 times now. You are an amazing video editor, this video gives me chills and feels like a reward for having watched all the marvel movies in the infinity saga. Thank you
The last scene "I tried some of that life Tony was telling me to get" I genuenly cried
Same
Same yo
"Don't look at me, I just do what he does only slower." -Sam Wilson.
GREAT AND HONEST LINE 😉
I always felt that he was the heart of the avengers. Thank you so much for putting together that amazing video.
This gave me chills, such amazing editing. From one marvel fan to the next, thank you and Excelsior!
The reason i love Steve is this: He represents an America where you didn't have to be rich, smart or gifted with immense talent to still be a worthwhile person. He embodied kindness, compassion, honour and a willingness to always fight and stand up for the dignity of the human spirit. It's the America i hope can emerge from these truly dark and disturbing times.
Either way thank you for this edit. Steve Rogers message and the spirit of his legacy may be fictional, but they are no less poignant in the world we live in today,
Everything special about him came out of a bottle.
@@bobjones9623 The bottle only allowed him to carry forth what was already in his heart. He was chosen precisely because he didn't have strength of physicality but strength of heart and understood that it can be used to protect just as easily as it can be to harm.
Also obligatory "i got that reference" lol.
And comments from Bob jones is how we still managed to elect trump
@@sanjayr But Sanjay my friend, there are millions of people with that heart lacking the strength to carry out their good will. You and I may be such people. That doesn't make us special. It was the boost he got that allowed him to be special, hence, everything 'special' about him came out of a bottle.
@@bobjones9623 he didn't need the serum to wield the hammer
Good becomes great. That's why Captain America is the best! The best avenger.
No one can be Captain America/Steve Rogers but Chris Evans. He owns the role. He brought the iconic comic superhero to live and on to the big screen, and into our hearts. He played him to perfection.
There's only one Cap/Steve Rogers and it's Chris Evans.
Tony was a genius
Natasha was a badass
Steve was hope
What more could you want ??
We shall see how Sam does. I'm hopeful about it. Because what made Captain America special wasn't the serum...
Very well said.Chris Evans owns the character, made the character cool and none can replace him and he is the best avenger despite not having godly powers as he knows its importance.
Chris and the MCU team really brought Captain America/Steve Rogers to life for me, too. To be honest, I was never a Captain America fan all my life. I went back and watched some of the acting of the past of guys who tried to do Captain America and...uh...they weren't quite so good (putting it mildly). This was all just so very brilliant!
We can have another Captain America, just not another Steve Rogers, because that's Chris Evans
Same with Iron Man. Only RDJ can be Tony Stark, but anyone could wear the armor.
I loved every single second of this. Thank you.
Just beautiful! Thanks for a wonderful video about my favorite MCU character (and probably favorite fictional character period)!
Tony: We'll lose
Steve: We'll do that together too
He just doesn't Stand for humanity, he stands for Hope, patriotism, sacrifice, and honor
Take the patriotism out of it, Cap's not a patriot he's more of a rebel. A patriot blindly follows the orders of those who hold national power. Cap was a patriot in WW2 but after coming out of the ice he realized that America had lost it's way. This is why he dropped that shield so many times throughout these films, that's his way of saying if I have to choose between being a Patriot and being a good man, I'm picking a good man every time. Steve had to pick between being a patriot or a good man. Thor had to pick between being a King and a good man and Black Panther was told it is hard to be a good man and a King by his Father. All three of these heroes chose being a good man over their political and social leanings. This is why Steve could lift Thor's hammer because both he and Thor or good men at their core.
StellaRhyme3 ok smart ass
Add Unity into your comment aswell and I completely agree
@@stellarhyme3 Exactly. Steve is more of a rebel than anything
StellaRhyme3 he can still be a patriot and a rebel, you can love the idea behind something but not the execution of it. Meaning he saw the corruption in the government but still loved the American values hence why he is a patriot, i think that’s what mostly makes him a patriot is seeing through the lies of a corrupt system that’s what the original patriots were. Good men who saw through the lies of their nation.
How no one connects Cap moving alone towards Thanos and his army with his speech in Winter Soldier disappoints me greatly. He showed that he is a man of his words in that scene more than any other character in the MCU.
Spot on........
I wish, WISh, they'd given him the line that he had in the comics when he stood against Thanos, about how if only one man stands against Thanos, Thanos still won't win.
As a kid I was properly bullied, here in the UK in he 80s as a half cast was a rare thing to see in a small town, one day I came home from school crying and this was maybe the 1000th time at least and I was about ten now, my mum called me towards her and slapped me round the face and said "get out there and find that kid and u make sure you beat him up...do not come home until you do" found him like 2 hours later, and did what she said , me an that kid shook hands after and after that he never bullied me again, I was still more placid in my early teens but I was almost the full height and stocky build I am now, while new school new set of bullies, and a teacher said to me , "never back down, if fall to the ground get up like it was nothing and smile at them , make them think they cant hurt you" this happened a lot , and most would leave it but one day an 18 year old kid rid by me on his bike said something awful to me and I booted him off his bike, this which i didn't know was the hardest kid around, an basically he sat on top of me punching me in the face, the first time he got up to leave i just said "is that all u got?" After the 4th time he stopped he started crying an got on his bike an went wherever , so I realised then you dont even need to fight really your words can diffuse most but even if it's just talking you never back down, its demoralising seeing someone get up after you just beat them and they just dont stop coming forward...now I'm not saying violence is the key, but we are a violent species , some times running isnt the way, talking isnt the way, become a very good actor because it's all just an act, everyone acts, just some are better than others, 39 now, been in the army climbed mountains, done some amazing stuff , and I dont think I would have had the confidence to do any if my mum didn't do that on
the day, luv ya mum
@Dillon Brown cheeky Captain America quote from the comics, I like it 😂
In the tribute of David Varela
Steve Rogers - Digno, is in spanish he make the connection with image and speech
This is absolute genius!! God, I'm going to miss this guy forever. We could sure use him right now.
Ain't that just the best bit of the best of a person can be. Beautifully put together. Truly
“Not a perfect soldier, but a good man.”
I swear out of all of the famous lines from the film, this is definitely the one that resonates the most with me, aside from “I can do this all day.”
Breathtaking. It’s crazy...a fictional character makes me want to be a better man. Amazing video my friend. Nothing but respect and admiration for you.
Joseph - that's would great literature does. That's what many of the ancient myths are. They speak to our psyche. They fulfill the archetypes. SR is the archetypal hero.
@@xaviergutierrez8786 Exactly. Look at all the other fictional (or fictionalized) heroes of legend who have inspired people. For example, King Arthur and the whole mythos of Camelot inspired a chivalric ideal for years.
Every culture has heroic legends for a reason. In our culture, that's taken the form of comics. Steve Rogers is one epic example of a truly good person who isn't great because of his powers, but because of his courage and character. That, IMO, is the measure of a TRUE hero.
Best of all, the qualities that make Steve a hero are ones that we can all emulate, if we only try.
@@Nocturnal_Rites Well stated.
