It's such an underrated line, but the bit where Nat's trying to get Steve to take the girl from accounting on a date and he says, "Lillian. Lip piercing, right? I'm not ready for that." has soooooo much character. The fact that he learned and remembers the random girl's name shows his interest and care for people. Then his comment about the piercing shows he respects people and their choices, but he also knows himself and the type of people he gets along with best.
