Classic Pete and Dud, presumably made before they morphed into Derek and Clive. I remember hearing this on Radio 1's "Fun at One" slot, way back in the day. I believe that Dud's accent was based on a well known Welsh Trade Union Leader from that era.
Yes, you're right, I made the same comment on another clip of this sketch on You tube a few years ago. I think it was in the 70's or 80's on Radio 1. - it took ages to find it
Yes it would. What part are you saying would be controversial? Or are you just another one of those "Waah waah, the imaginary woke brigade hurt my ickle feelings" types?
I'll try.....Humourless,isolated administrator types, who roundly detest those of us crows footed folk who smirk and guffaw our way through life. Oliver Cromwell and his love of earthy laughter springs to mind ?
@@travellingbilly.4032 yep, censorship including self censorship is terrible these days and comedy is damn near finished, and the woke pc brigade are simply awful in every way, however this is a rather clean inoffensive sketch, especially compared to some of the stuff these two chaps came out with back in the good old days.
To me Dudley was the genius in that duo. Multi talented, played piano and violin exquisitely, sand, funny, could act, do comedy ……’. Great talent
Absolutely brilliant Rip to them both, missed terribly.
Wished theyd filmed this!
Probably one of the very few comedy sketches that mentions Upminster!

Never heard this. Great. Reminds me of someone.
Derek and Clive live…no other like it.
Most likely would'nt get past the po-faced censors these days.....eye wateringly funny !
Why ever not? It's on here, isn't it?
That said, agreed. Eye wateringly funny.

Pathetic
The black notes DO sound louder!
Dud's been ripped off! 100 guineas an hour is the same as 50 per half hour 😆
Dear Mr T.Billy
Would you kindly elaborate on your comment about the “po-faced” ?
