Well spotted. There’s a 55 plate Scooby. The video must be from the previous season’s events so this must be promoting the 2006 series which is also the date on the file.

Classic Pete and Dud, presumably made before they morphed into Derek and Clive. I remember hearing this on Radio 1's "Fun at One" slot, way back in the day. I believe that Dud's accent was based on a well known Welsh Trade Union Leader from that era.
Yes, you're right, I made the same comment on another clip of this sketch on You tube a few years ago. I think it was in the 70's or 80's on Radio 1. - it took ages to find it

@@travellingbilly.4032 yep, censorship including self censorship is terrible these days and comedy is damn near finished, and the woke pc brigade are simply awful in every way, however this is a rather clean inoffensive sketch, especially compared to some of the stuff these two chaps came out with back in the good old days.

I'll tell you about a crazy coincidence; I was watching 'How do they do that' on Quest last night about some material used in LCD TV's and 'cars' and there was a quick 2 second sequence that showed a yellow Manta flash past with, I'm sure, was an orange helmeted driver. It looked like the rally me, you and Andrew did in wales where it pissed down with rain all day. I was going to re-watch it on the +1 showing of the program, but that was past 12 and I was ready for bed. Moments later this vid popped up on CZcams!!! Spooky!!!! Car sounds good in the video anyway. Was it just a shake down?
It was a shakedown, engine went bang on SS1. Rebuild underway. The ‘How Do They Do That’ clip is from when I did their show about windscreen wipers in 2007. It was a year after Andy’s last rally in the Evo. Andy’s never Co-driven in the Manta (yet).

@@Scott_GT-R rally was yesterday- which is when the engine went bang (rod through the block). It was going perfectly then just let go with no warning. I built it 10 years ago and it’s done a lot of rallies. Maybe this was just it’s time? Mega disappointed though.

scottgtr I burned the original onto a CD/DVD but I think it’s in a box in my cellar. This is one that I reduced the resolution on so I could upload with a 56k modem. I’ll have to track down the disc for posterity.

It's from Dirt Rally (PS4), I have Dirt 3 (PS3) as well but Dirt Rally is the best by far

came out of the six stages with no panel damage but haven't had a look underneath yet! Had a puncture on SS1, lost a mudflap towards the end, an indicator stopped working and snapped sensor wires for the Terratrip and the oil temperature gauge but otherwise seems ok. Unfortunately didn't manage to beat Juha Kankkunen and Dai Llewellyn but gave it a good go!
