Lebanon: They actually sent an entry for Eurovision 2005 but the Broadcaster didn't want to broadcast the Israeli entry and they end up withdrawing around March 2005
Tunisia: They attempted to enter the 1977 edition of the contest and was scheduled fourth in the running order; however, before selecting an act, the country withdrew for undisclosed reasons

Romania also announced that most likely they will not paritcipate for 1 year
And who knows when russia and belaeus will participate again

@@Youknowme-qq3zw Will have to wait for their broadcasters to consider their options when it comes to possibly coming back to the EBU and earn their right to compete again.
Belarus is not part of EBU anymore since 2021-2024. They are suspended. And Russia is indefinite suspended since 2022. So maybe Russia will come back after few years
Edit: i could not find any information if Belarus joined another broadcasting system to join Eurovision. I looked up wikipedia about EBU and it's kinda confusing to me why some countries can perform while they suspended. Maybe I think that's the television channels not running anymore. I really don't know. And it's somewhat interesting. But we'll hear from Belarus later.

Unpopular opinion: the country I most wanna see come back is Andorra. Not only are they the only country that has never competed at a final, but them competing also give Catalan Spaniards a chance to represent their language since God knows Spain is never gonna send in a Catalan song

They can't, they're not part of EBU
Kosovo needs UN recognition and Liechtenstein's only national broadcaster is a private broadcaster, so even if they joined the union they still wouldn't be able to participate.
You can't say that they don't compete anymore for some of 'em.
But they don’t compete anymore and for Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro I wrote (dissolved). The title isn’t “countries that didn’t return” it’s “countries that don’t compete anymore”
I think we might just see Slovakia back for 2025 though!

They're not part of EBU.
Liechtenstein doesn't have a TV channel in the EBU, that's why. The person who wanted to make that happen unfortunately passed away.

@@ESCGiorgioBut they were in the participation list. They even selected Val with ”Da Vidna”. There is not need to exclude them.

@Snejk_Y00 We had hopes for the russians that they would protest, but they don't. Most russians are pro-Putin, they insult Ukrainians on social media, for example, some of them even managed to call alyona alyona a "fat cow," that's their "innocence".
They said that they didn't need Eurovision, that there were only "fucked up" gays there, that it was LGBT "propaganda", but together they all came to shit on our song and our Vidbir, that's their "innocence".
Tomorrow I'm going to the funeral of my gym teacher at school who died in the war, that's their "innocence".
They want us to die, they want missiles and drones to fly at us, they are very happy when our people die, when there are no more houses, after missiles arrive, they steal our children, they torture our military, while we feed, clothe and send their military in exchange.
