The lyrics are about how finnish people are all shy and introvert when being sober. After hard work week he wants to relax with some piña coladas and dance at the club. At the end when the music gets calmer and slower, he has broken his icy shell and he’s heading to the dance floor where he can be more open and himself. "I'm heading to dance now like cha cha cha and i'm not afraid of this world after all". Also the pallets on the stage resemble the hard workweek he is trying to escape in the lyrics. In Finnish those pallets are called "Eurolava" and "lava" also means stage in Finnish. So he is standing on Euro stage in that sense too! It's really genious.

Second place finish was very impressive. The "cha cha cha" parts are so infectious that's what got the crowd going, even though we don't understand the lyrics. Finland did win the popular vote by a large margin.
I feel like the people should have a greater say then the "chosen".
Imagine, Lorde would never have won either if a jury had a 50% vote.

Think it this way: Sweden didn't receive top points from any country from televoters. Sweden wasn't the favorite anywhere, but they still won..because the votes of 100 "professionals" mean the same as the votes of few hundred million "normal" people.

Don't get me wrong, this was a great performance, but you can really see how he and the whole staging evolved to perfection when they preformed on the Eurovision stage
Sadly, ESC jury once again shows its true colors... ABBA is celebrating 50 years in 2024, so of course they needed Sweden to win. I understand that the jury sees things differently but come on... Loreen basically did a song that's been done 100 times over. Nothing new. I'm glad Käärijä was the absolute fan-favorite! The song is in Finnish, after all.
No evidence for your claim, which doesn't even make any sense. Who exactly, is so determined to have the final in Sweden in ABBA's 50th anniversary year that they are willing to risk their careers and reputations, and for what reasin exactly? And how do they achieve their ends? Why are other national juries going swing their votes to help Sweden win yet again? It just makes zero sense, unless, I suppose, that you can't really cope with the fact your boy came up just short on Saturday, and you have to externalise your fristration in the form of toxic lies and speculations in social media.
Kaarija had an amazing journey at Eurovision, one that has changed his life and given him incredible opportunities that he could never have dreamed of before. But people like you want to tell him he lost, and that he was robbed, and the beautiful experience was just a dream that was shattered in the last moment of the final. That's certainly one way to fuck him up - if he were to pay any attention to this nonsense, which I don't believe he will, because he's got too many cool things to do, too many new friends to hang with, and too many exciting plans to make. He wasn't placed number one in the final, but a loss it was not.
As a Swede I enjoyed the Finnish song more than the weak song Sweden had. The finnish song had a punch that made you want to move.

This is such a good example of how quickly Cha Cha Cha hooks you in, and how catchy of a tune it is. I think a lot of is had a similar experience on our first listen.

I love Sweden, I love Finland but when it comes to ESC Käärijä is my total favourite. I love the Finnish language. It may sound funny to your ears when you are not familiar with the language, but when I heard it, I was like ❤

I agree, there are some things in the NF that work better. The dresses of the female dancers are so much better with the frills, and there is a lot more energy coming across simply because the camera is closer up on both Käärijä and the dancers. I understand that you can't have this same choreography on a stage 10 times as big but I wish they had at least kept those more punchy dance moves, especially right when they come out of the big box. Nevertheless, tsemppiä Suomiii!! 🇫🇮

Who else is mad at the judges after letting loreen win?
Not really mad about it but a bit disappointed. It feels like Loreens powerful voice and control over it was too heavily weighted over any other aspect. Personally I think Loreens song lacks personality but is extremely well executed by-the-book europop song. Käärijäs song is almost complete opposite. It's performed and sang well enough but it's extremely fun and original and I like how it combines Finnish rap, partypop and even steps close to dark electro/industrial wibes. It's an odd mix that works well together. Definite breath of fresh air.
I can't say Loreen didn't deserve the win but Käärijä definitely didn't deserve such weak votes from the jury in comparison. Ultimately I'm fine with either one winning. Might even tip the scales onto Loreens side due to heavy personal preference for powerful and deep vocals.
