Great setup, but you may want to point that cloverleaf more straight up to get the most out of its gain pattern: as it is, the electromagnetic donut runs straight into the ground ahead of you. Do consider a small triple feed as well. I stopped using omnis years ago, I can always turn the whole rig around if I decide to fly miles behind my back. I can even run close range touch-and-go practice using a 14 dBi patch; directionals are more versatile than we tend to think. Happy landings!
I was researching AAT and came across your channel. I am just getting into training for fixed-wing sailpane ASW28 and looking to learn long-range flying, as I have a lot of open space here in the North Philippines. There is some beautiful video potential here.
Great behind-the-scenes looks, so to speak. A very pragmatic setup, with many useful ideas. Going to use your battery self idea. An option if pilots need 12v, but have 4S, or 6S packs on hand is to use a DC-DC Buck/Boost Converter to provide a steady voltage to equipment (buck steps voltage down, and boost steps voltage up) Just need to make sure can supply the amount of amps the equipment is needing (with some margin).
Nice one, on the in-car footage it looks like a very nice image quality. What FPV camera do you have on the plane? You should probably also link the parts, at least the screen, VRX and DVR.
What is the thrust to weight ratio of your silver eagle ?and where do you mark your CG point on the wing ? Please I am struggling to fly my own silver eagle as it it not flying
What are you thoughts on internal combustion engines vs electric propellers for these types of builds? I’ve only just started looking into the trade offs for range, speed and payload capacity
Hey man im a big fan and i have a project coming up for school i want to make a rc plane using foam board but i dont know what design i should use like prop in the front or back or what taill design could you maybe make a vid about this? Please?
If this your first plane, a pusher (prop behind) tends to be more forgiving. This because if have hard landing, or crash, the nose can often be first thing to contact the ground, which can break a prop, or bend the motor. Some great build options here, and on the @ExperimentalAirlines channel. "AXON Construction Details" and "AXON Foamboard Trainer and Light FPV Platform" videos show details. czcams.com/video/bta80gyHK7Q/video.html @AeroStuffFPV version of this is the "Star Walker 1600" This version shown in "Homemade FPV Plane w/ Super Flaps (STOL) - Flight Footage (AeroStuff FPV)" is a bit more advanced as includes STOL Flaps and a V-tail configuration. czcams.com/video/wMdsf6BNl5Y/video.html

Good to see these builds rather than HD all the time.
You should look into antenna trackers it would compliment your flying style.
Great video, I always look forward to your videos.

Very nice! Well done setup, thank you for showing us. 🙏

Es una estación simple, que cumple con sus funciones.

That's really fucking cool, I love janky stuff like this
Looks like Iran has some of your setups
Does anyone have any idea how you can convert a lipo battery like this to usbc for a monitor? I cannot find anything to do so
Whats the range of that video receiver/ setup?

Check his channel for builds. Good luck. Part of projects is learning through failing.
You should check out the FT Simple Scout, it's a great first foamboard plane.

How far away can you get clear image from?
Didn't realize standalone DVR modules were readily available. DVR went out on two Skyzone goggles. Added to cart 🤓
good day can I ask what is the name of antenna that you are using? and what is the max capacity of its support distance? tnx
Nice!
