    Additional Description:
The laser engraver features a 10W diode laser, automatic focus standoff, air assist, and a large cutting area. This has an insanely fast engraving speed for a diode laser stated as 20,000mm/min. I've experienced very high quality engraving and some very fast cutting for a diode laser. This machine is on par speed wise with a CO2 laser that I've used and absolutely blows my old 5W laser out of the water. This video is not sponsored, but the engraver was sent to me for testing and in exchange for a video but all opinions are my own. I have been using LaserGRBL as my primary free software.

Awesome video! I'm looking at getting my first CNC. I'm looking at the foxalien line. One of them has interchangeable heads. That way it can run as a router, and as a laser.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention making templates. That’s where I see it’s value in my process.

Excellent tip! Completely overlooked it. Thank you for adding to the dialogue, Randy!

Nice video Chris! High quality as always! I'm doing some 3D printing right now for parts to make a cnc router specifically for cutting parts from thin plywood panels so seeing the laser cutter fits right in with my current mind set. I hear you about the smoke. That's the one thing that's kept me from getting into laser engraving and cutting but I think I'll take another look at it. At first look I like that machine you're using. Kudos to the company for giving you one to review.

It's a good sized work area, I think it's 400mmx400mm or close to that

Hi Chris, could you tell me what cnc you have and how do you like it.

+shelleyjo65, the engraver and 3D printers are the only CNCs I own due to space. I used an Avid5x10 to cut my current workbench. If going for business, I strongly recommend @phantomcnc for commercial work or small business work. I can't make a recommendation on one in the hobby category due to a lack of experience, but I know two people that are very satisfied with shapeokos. 4x4 Phantoms can be had for about double the shapeoko price, but many more features.

I seen a video where you made some guy a miter saw chute or miter saw dust collection thing, do you have one for MAKITA 10” sliding miter saw? I will buy one
