  • Russia moving into Niger, Mali and the Sahel region and the U.S. proposed move to Nigeria brings us right into confrontation with each other. Despite our issues with insecurity, this move would maximise our problems rather than solve them

I'M EMBARRASSED THAT SOME AFRICAN MEDIA THINK THAT THE WEST IS THEIR FRIEND. THEY DON'T KNOW THEIR HISTORY THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO? EVEN CENTURIES AGO? DO THEY REALLY KNOW THEIR HISTORY DECADES AGO? ALSO, DO THEY KNOW THEIR CURRENT HISTORY & WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES? DO THEY KNOW THAT THE WEST HAD NEVER EVER & WILL NEVER EVER WANT TO SEE A DEVELOPED & ADVANCED AFRICA? IS NIGERIA NOT SINKING BECAUSE OF THE ADVICE & POLICIES OF THE IMF & THE WEST? THE UNITED STATES, THE WEST & THE WHOLE WORLD NEED THE MOTHER CONTINENT FAR MORE THAN THE MOTHER CONTINENT NEEDS THEM. SO THE OBSESSION & BELIEVE THAT NIGERIA & AFRICA AS A WHOLE CAN'T ADVANCE, RISE, PROTECT ITSELF.... WITHOUT THE WEST IS A COLONIAL THING IMPLANTED IN THE SUBCONSCIOUS & CONSCIOUS MINDS OF MOST AFRICANS. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED DURING COLONIALISM. THEIR COLONIAL MASTERS TOLD THEM TO FORGIVE & FORGET BUT THE SAME COLONIAL MASTERS NEVER EVER FORGIVE & NEVER FORGET. ONLY 6 MILLIONS OF THE IMPOSTORS CALLING THEMSELVES J**S WERE K***** BY A.H. OF GERMANY BUT WHO DOESN'T KNOW HOW THE COLONIAL MASTERS, & THE ENTIRE WORLD RECOGNIZED, PAID & ARE STILL PAYING REPARATIONS TO ISRAEL? BILLIONS OF AFRICANS HAD BEEN K****** WORLDWIDE IS THERE ANY RECOGNITION OR EVEN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT? A BIG THUMB UP TO THE INVITEE.

I am so disappointed with this Arise media panel to note that they would argue in support of the establishment of American military base or any foreign military base for that matter on Nigerian soil no matter the situation in Nigeria. I would have believed that they were well versed with what has been happening around them and around the world with regard to super power military bases in African countries. American military base in Nigeria would simply mean occupying Nigeria militarily and otherwise. Nigerian military would become powerless and irrelevant and their space would become part of America which Nigeria would no more control of her territorial integrity. Why are other African countries now struggling to get them out of their own countries if they were of any benefit to them? Nigerians must be very careful what they wish for and you in the media must not be puppets of foreign interests.

Prof should know that Tinubu will personally prefer to allow the proposed West military base in Nigeria, so as to be a "good boy" to the West, than calling for foreign policy experts for national consensus to oppose the military base.
West's military base in Nigeria is not a free lunch. Their intention coming to Nigeria is not for fighting terrorism, that is political. They are coming to assert influence in the West African region, not leaving it for Russia to occupy the region, which will be suicidal for the West. This is their reason for coming to Nigeria, not to genuinely come to assist in fighting terrorism. So no free lunch in international politics!

If America and French are chased away from their former host bases, is it Nigeria that would be used to satisfy their interests? The fundamental question they supposed to ask is why is America and their French counterpart being expelled? And stop insinuating nonsense!

Thanks for coming" Even when journalists agree with guests, it's their job to still project an alternate view so that it's a 'balanced discourse'. This is why you and I have enjoyed this interview.
