I worked there in the Library for many years in the late 60s and it was a great place. Now it's really all over: this town is a symbol of Old England Is Dying. Sad; very sad.
I'd love to live in Stone,but sadly the houses are a tadge more expensive than those in Stafford,alls ive got is a 2bed terrace,but at the time of buying I couldn't afford one in town. Born n brought up here,used go Alleynes n Christchurch middle when Mr Brewer were the headmaster and Mr Oulton his deputy.Happy days!

That was great - I loved seeing the town where my g.g. grandfather William Dawson was born in 1800. He migrated to Australia.
