I moved there is 1987 and got to know a lot of the local metal heads who were into Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica etc so became one myself! We all used to sit on steps by the shop by Broomfield Rd wearing leather or denim jackets...
Fond memories there in the late 70's living on Fair Oaks housing estate and bombing around on my road bike as we were not allowed a Chopper...Still looks the same to me but left there in 79... went to Castle House (hold on) failed my 11+ so didn't go to Adams went to Prestfelde in Shrewsbury instead and now in California.. getting old and soppy and need to get back there for a visit.
