The therapist can't say anything. They can only tell if they consider there's a high risk of imminent harm for someone (themselves, the client, or someone else). There are other loopholes which can be used in court sometimes (some way in which the confidentiality wouldn't technically apply), but in general that's the rule.

I feel sorry for people on social media. Almost everyone they talk to probably keeps logs "in case" they just want to fuck them over. I was the "guild leader" of some game back in the day, and everyone was sending me screenshots of everyone else saying shit. It was absurd. I don't have single screenshot of any conversation. That's like being a fucking nark man. Even if you have a falling out with someone or they fuck you over, you don't nark on them. One exception would be if they posted some text first and left out some crucial part or something, I guess. I still can't imagine doing that personally.
therapy is about working trough things that are happening in your life and getting a fresh perspective when the therapist disagrees or sees things differently in whatever way, shape or form. Therapy is also about getting in the necessary hours to stay sociable for me personally, and it helps a shit ton with dealing with bad situations that happen in your life. Having a therapist allowed me to be way more useful to my family when my father died for example. It's definitely worth it if oyu can afford it, but at the same time you should be really picky about your therapist. Personally I am really good looking, so I had to get myself a really good looking therapist too in order to not feel like he or she was going to try to use me in some way, shape or form. I can go to a sauna with my current therapist and it wouldn't be weird.
