This happen in 1955 or 1956. Dad farmed with a 1950 g john deere. Dad slowed down to turn into the drive way a drunk driver run into back of pull type combine. Broke the hitch pin. As the tractor started to turn over dad jumped off high side. The tractor turned to it's top , then back to it's wheels. Dad broke 2 small bones in his hand that's all. Insurance paid for repairs at the dealership. At the supper table dad told mom they replaced the large cast iron piece the front wheels attach to. It had a crack in it.
Open up the compresion release on both cyclinders It will turn over a lot faster, when it starts then close the releases .. They are in the hole in the frame on both sides of the cyclinders
Brushes in the start could be dragging, but like someone mentioned make sure the connections are clean and gutentight! A re builder can make it like new again. I was wondering if the regulator on the generator was 12v? It might still be 6v. I hope you keep the generator! If not, I would be interested in purchasing.
The new regulator I ordered is 12v, the old may have been 6v i dont know. I plan on keeping the generator. I think going through all the wiring will help a lot. I might try tearing the starter apart to see how it looks. Thanks for watching!!
Adding batteries in series, such as two 6volt, does not increase the amperage, only adds the voltage between the two. If someone told you that it will increase amperage, they are wrong. Two 6volt batteries are the same as one 12volt but with more cables to corrode and go bad.
Very interesting waiting for the next video God bless u
Buying used parts online can be a hassle sometimes sometimes it’s just better to find a parts frame and take the steering shaft out of there

Thank you...great vidio...
Nice! Congrats! Hope the front end goes together alright. If you need some help, let me know! Thanks for the video!
If you still have that loader, just know that the loader is worth more than the tractor itself. Cuz it’s that rare
My uncle wanted it
Push the clutch lever really hard forwards till it clicks.
It takes a little to engaged it..
Gr-8 video 👍
I will try it thanks
Hey when the tractor is fixed and field ready could you get a plow and a planter and plant some kind of crop
I already have a plow and am looking for a planter. I want to plant sweet corn next year. Thanks for watching!!
Awesome thanks for responding

The clutch should snap when it is engaged to lock in
I think I'm going to have to adjust it or something. Thanks
Try using two six volt batteries like it came with maybe it will turn over better
Yeah I guess I don’t know if there is a difference

Why didn't you keep the loader on the tractor
My uncle wanted the loader.
@Dave Lambert would also be easier if I were sitting.
I think you do a *GREAT* job, and *MORE* should subscribe!!! 👍 Since 2022, I've *STOP* buying from Fbay!!!
The steering shaft didn't come from eBay. I personally have had really good luck with eBay.
