      Lane is a great coach. They can definitely be a threat in the Big 10 if he gets a good offense. I remember in 2020 when Ole Miss played Bama and the game was like 63-57. Of course Bama won but Ole Miss played them tougher than any other team that year including Auburn. He gets a good offense at USC they are definitely gonna be a threat. Maybe not this year but in a few years they'll be contenders.

      Had USC taken the game seriously, they win by 3 touchdowns. 9 out of 10, USC wins that game in a landslide. They goofed off, and fell behind big. They then decided to get serious, and scored like 21 points straight in a short time. Then, they took the foot off the pedal again. On that 4th and 1 play, they didn't have Reggie Bush on the field! Even if Reggie doesn't get the ball, you have to have him on the field and motion him, so the Texas defense can't stack the line of scrimmage.

    • @joey325
      @joey325 Před 2 lety +2

      @@CPAClass2010 I know. The entire season, ESPN was doing a series on whether that USC team was the best ever in history. ESPN would bring up a great team from the past, and basically that 2005 USC team would come out on top in their analysis. It came down to two teams: the great Nebraska team (I forget which year) vs the 2005-2006 USC for the greatest all-time team. I kept thinking ... they better not let this get to their heads. They're playing an undefeated Texas team with Vince Young. The first half was horrendous, and I kept thinking ... they let that "greatest team ever" talk get to their heads. The third quarter was amazing when they effortlessly built a double-digit lead. And then they stopped taking it seriously again ... it seemed as if everyone thought that game was in the bag, and someone would step up, if it got close.
      The 2005-2006 USC football team and the 1983-1984 LA Lakers were two teams that I thought were arguably the greatest in history. And both of those teams stumbled in the end. Sorry to digress, but the 1983-1984 Lakers were two bone-headed plays away from sweeping a great Celtic team in the Finals. And in the end, they lost in a 7-game series.

They are the ones that have pushed their playoff product to kill the bowl's significance and kill great storylines like the rise of Bosie State and beating OU. The only regrets here is that the SEC and ESPN didn't think the B10 would move to counter their bid to dominate college football.
      Texas and Oklahoma was only supposed to be the beginning and the SEC was going to pick off the Big 10,Notre Dame, USC and Oregon
      to form a super league outside the NCAA which would have a playoff deal with ESPN. At that point, the ACCs days would be numbered
      and the biggest brands from that conference would be picked over as well. They thought that if the B10 stood pat and took a new tv deal
      that paid roughly the same as the SEC, that Ohio State,Michigan, and maybe Penn State, and Wisconsin would see the B10 standing still
      and riding on their coat tails. The SEC felt those schools could be temped to join an SEC super league down the road when the new B10
      deal that would start in 2024, ran out and everyone would be locked into a playoff format with ESPN setting the terms.
      Now, the B10 and FOX will have a seat at the table regarding negotiations for a new playoff, and more teams will have access with
      2 super conferences vs the SEC alone after its picked over everyone else.

      @@timchamberlin9280 and my Wolverines started the season UNRANKED... beat Ohio State, Won the bigten title and made the playoffs. If that not a true testament to hard nose blue collar football idk what is. Would've been nice to beat Georgia but let's be real that teams talent was ridiculous compared to us. Wer just a bunch of no name 3 and 4 stars that put our head down and grinded! couldn't before more proud of them boys in blue!!〽️

      @@timchamberlin9280 yea I totally agree. It really makes no sense and it takes away from our midwest type feel. We lotterally have teams from the east coast to west coast yo travel to now. Just hate how things are always changing now a days and become more commercialized. All about money and not school spirit like it should be

    Lane just told Oklahoma bud Texas that the sec is a whole other animal… like bro… Oklahoma has been better than ole miss like every year in the history of college football 😂 😂. OU will do better than ole miss and beat ole miss.

      I think he's referring to the competition. The power structure is about to change dramatically with nil I believe and the sec could be dominated by Texas oil money

      @Gordon S 😂. Right on. We will see how long that 1-0 lasts when they are in the sec. He’s acting like Oklahoma hasn’t played any sec teams. Oklahoma has winning records against sec teams. Everybody in that conference thinks that they are good just because they get beat by Alabama and Georgia every year 😂
