    I have always liked Lane Kiffin and I think since his time at Bama he has matured immensely. I never thought I would say this but I would be happy if he took over after Saban retires.

      Yes. A lot of new moving parts for the Rebels. They have the talent but inexperience could be an issue. They need to utilize the rest of this off season and the early non-conference games wisely.

    As a bama fan we’ve always worried what happens when saban leaves. I’m not worried much anymore, the foundation he’s built can be generational and I’m confident Lane, Kirby, Sark, or dabo could come in at run it. Especially Lane Kiffin with his new age style.

    This is what I took away from Lane's comments, Ole Miss will adapt. As a Bama fan, I am sure CNS and Alabama will adapt. I don't want to hear anybody say negative things when they do. If Bama adapts, it may come down to how much front-end money an HS player wants versus how much they could make leaving a successful run with Bama.

      Well, the best beaches are in the South (namely, Florida). Water up North is unattractive and cold. Water out West is cold (with the exception of SoCal). So SEC country has the best beaches.

Also, and I said this then, the schools can't be involved or the boosters. So you get a nobody who has talked to the booster to talk to the kid and say, hey if you go to X school, you will get millions in endorsements. No, a booster nor a school rep said it so "technically" its not illegal. Thats what A&M did. Jimbo isn't lying when he said ...we.....did nothing wrong.

    Put the kids under contact the schools should have the right to get a reasonable return from the training and knowledge bestowed to each player that take NIL money. Pro players have to meet this standard, sign a contract young men, if these agents are taking advantage of this system, this should be addressed by the Law makers. We all know the NCAA hands have been some what tied by the court's. Okay Lawmakers let's see if you have at least one ounce of entestanal fortitude to correct this poorly structured system that allows the Agents of the world to have free rain over this college programs. By the way God Bless our Coach NICK SABIN and the PLAYERS that have seen a man that put them in the best place they could be successful at the next step of life. ROLL TIDE ROLL

    The current situation is unsustainable. College players have a much better deal than pro players and that makes no sense. College players are essentially unrestricted free agents now. One possible solution is to treat college players like professional athletes because that is essentially what they are.
    Contracting players for specific compensation and length of time, that’s negotiated between the players agent and the university, is an obvious solution. NIL has essential turned college players into professionals. Players no longer have to pretend to be going to college for an education.
    The NFL is a winner too. They now have a minor league system that costs them nothing. Amateur athletes no longer exist. The only real change is that paying college athletes is out and public instead of under the table.

    As a USC fan and also of Lane Kiffin, I still believe that his reference to the Pitt receiver transferring (only b/c money) is BS. Lane Kiffin did a great job of explaining the current environment in college football, however he is doing the exact same thing at Ole Miss

      19-yr olds aren't coaches or universities. They are in learning phase of life. Hard to focus on learning doing Dr. Pepper ads, signing $1,000,000 deals and thinking where you'd like to play NEXT YEAR... on a whim.
      The concept of "team" has been destroyed. Analysts and announcers blather on about this school or another having signed 21 transfers...without realizing that ruins the game. No continuity whatsoever. No team spirit.

      Patrick Hart, Because it would be a dream for Dabo to come back where he played, and he gas proven to be a good coach. I do not think Kiffin has the experience or the blood of Alabama that the trustees want. It always looks good when a coach goes back to his almer mater. I think Kiffin Is a really good coach and will build a program at Ole Miss.
      But Bama wants their own if they are good enough, and I think Dabo is. JMO.

      lol 2 percent is why NCAA RECRUITING FACTS !!!!!
      Fewer than 2 percent of NCAA student-athletes go on to be professional athletes. In reality, most student-athletes depend on academics to prepare them for life after college. Education is important. There are more than 460,000 NCAA student-athletes, and most of them will go pro in something other than sports.

    Not to say that his example won't ever happen, but it's not going to become the norm. Players know who will be offered whatever, you're not going to have some random 3 star entering the portal for the same reason a borderlines 5 star WR who's star QB just went to the NFL. Coaches, Universities, & most importantly the NCAA kicked the bucket for so long when all players wanted was an agreed upon piece of the pie, all the "adult" know how much control they had off the money train & refused to lose a single cent. Now the law of the land is literally the wild wild west, which it should be tbh, but it's their own making 🤷🏾‍♂️. Coaches has been able to sign a 10 year deal, recruit a class, after that classes 1st year coaches "dream job" opens up, guess what they leave! Is that the norm no, but it happens, & if coaches can do that for no ey so can players.
