andrew saying fuck is my aesthetic
I honestly clicked on this video unconsciously because of andrew
ME TOO and as new agey as this might sound, I SO FUCKING NEEDED THIS ONE!!!!
The same ;)
I love how Andrew reads this. I've heard Benedict's version too but i think that the difference between the two versions is that in Benedict's one it seems like he is reading it to a crowd,he do it with the intention of entertaining someone, thing that he is doing. While the Andrew's one is more private,he talks like he is really saying those things to someone he knows,a friend. Even if both the versions are actually great.
Yeah, I agree with you. I like both versions but Andrew made it sound really powerful. It motivates me and I come back to this when I feel down. He made it a serious and, like you said, a private letter. When I first saw this and people laughed at "Just do!" part I didn't know what was so funny about that. Benedict put humour in his version and it sounds like a completely different letter, at least to me. But still amazing.
I do the exact same thing. When i feel down and unmotivated i come back here and this really helps me.
I'm doing this right now.
Where can I find Cumberbatch’s version??
@@aibhinnmccann-bell7042 czcams.com/video/VnSMIgsPj5M/video.html
Andrew's acting ability is so damn mesmerizing. To be able to recite this jumble of words so quickly in a (North) American accent that isn't his own is so impressive.
He just draws you in, doesn't he.
Wow, how can Andrew breathe when he reads so fast? I love him! He's such a perfect actor!
Most actors in the beginning are taught to use their voice without tiring it. I did a voice class and you have to expand your diaphragm, open your chest and throat.
The talent here is Andrew doing an American accent, which can be difficult to do for long winded speaking if the accent is not natural. When yelling, you cannot use your throat (the rasp or guttural action will damage your voice and it will quickly give out)
He's using his chest to speak, which is why he can read fast at that pitch.
@@Shadywolf09 Oh my...I just read this comment now...two years later!! But thanks for your explanation!😄
You must be a great fan of mine....❣️
"That's what people 1:25 !!!!!!!" 😂
My volume was high so when he suddenly yelled "DO" I jumped XD
THIS IS MY FAVOURITE COMMENT EVER
😂😂😂
Moriarty
😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭I miss HIM
OMG I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS
I don't think I will try to compare Andrew's or Benedict's reading of this letter. Both are so well done.
so this is what Moriarty does on his free time
sofia victoria ROTFlLLMMAAA OOOOOO omg that's hilarious
This is the best thing I didn't know I needed - to be yelled at by Andrew. He is amazing as ever, always giving his all.
When he said 'stop worrying and start doing'... I'm feeling so attacked right now.
This felt oddly intimate. A message from a stranger to a stranger -- speaking directly to me.
I honestly loved Scott’s recitation better than Cumberbatch’s. It sounds so honest, conversational, insightful, encouraging, profound. Like someone’s standing there and talking to you and telling you this stuff. Cumberbatch’s was very performative, for an audience. Scott was speaking to YOU, just YOU. Like in an empty room.
I can’t get over him.
true that. i watched that version after seeing you comment. wholeheartedly agree with you
Me. Too
This is so true his emotions really looks so raw
Your Moriarty is showing XD
Mariani Maswardi it sounds like a direct speech to Sherlock xD
+Sherlock Malfoy too inspirational
Can you people not bring that up with everything Andrew Scott does? He's literally doing an American accent.
Mariani Maswardi il
He used 47 words with ING ending in a first minute. Impressive.
This was so intense
I struggle a lot with being confident in what I do and most of the time I feel like I’m not doing good enough. Sometimes it feels like I do stuff not for myself, but for other people. The world even. People keep telling me I’m doing great but I don’t believe that. It wouldn’t surprise me if more people struggle with this.
The way he spoke this felt like it was directed at me. I guess I needed to hear this. It moved me a lot. Thank you Andrew Scott for this amazing reading!
1:22 sounds like he is gonna say JUST DO IT
someone needs to edit that in
Feline Kitty paws noted I'm gonna do little photo montage hehehe xD
.... Hmmmm
SAME SAME SAME
Hahaha I thought exactly the same... XD
An amazing letter performed by an amazing actor. I am honored to have found this video.
This video made me have a tear because I am unconfident the most of the time and sometimes, in this video, I believe that he speak to me... I am a strange strange girl.
I can relate to that..... felt the same way...
You’re not strange, I feel the same about it.
Same
aw yes... same girl!
Your not the only strange girl, so do I
Andrew never ceases to amaze me.
I really need someone to shout on me things like that
Like give me an aggressive lecture on how stupid they think I am because I am not aware of my “self worth” or something like that
Especially seeing Andrew.. I really only accepted his version more than cucumberpatch for some reason
The roles, his personality and attitude makes him so much dear and closer to me, it’s like he’s a friend of mine I’m always sure he’s there
This was incredible
He's so handsome
He's perfect
He's the definition for perfect!
This is s true
So true !
I love your nickname
This version is just perfect. So raw and truthful.
Andrew saying fuck you gives me life
He's reading better than Benedict. He has a lot of warm feelings for her. He is for her, Benedict - for himself
oohh, his accent. I love it so much!!!
it isn't his full proper accent here, he seems to use a sort of hybrid of irish/american/english.
Ummagumma It's supposed to be American. 😉 I feel like his American accent is really good...but not great (don't anyone come for me, haha). I can hear the Irish in some of his r's and in some of the diphthongs. But I feel like, in those areas, our way of speaking is really close to theirs; I imagine it is difficult to do.
I'd prefer if he used his Irish accent. His voice in general though is lovely.
Wow, that was amazing Andrew!
this popped out of nowhere with a 'recommended to you' when i was watching videos unrelated to this and i decided to watch because it's Andrew Scott and i am a fan. I didn't think it would actually help me in some thing i'm having trouble about myself.
Wow... this was incredible
Keep comng back here when find myself doing things wrong.
His voiiiice! Oh my goood! It kills me!! 😍😍😍
Let yourself be angry once in a while. haha. "Just stop it and Just DO!"
i come back to this every year or when i'm feeling down. i think every artist should hear this sometimes, expecially because of the art that andrew scott makes it to be
If you’re here from the ‘I Like Me Better’ Miro Remix, the part of the speech starts at 3:40
thank you
It's incredible how he goes reading through saying the words basically non stopping!
THIS MAN, he is absolutely brilliant. I have chills every time I hear his voice but this is just *chefs kiss* he is giving the letter some emotion and puts the audience in a completely different perspective and that amazes me. This man gives me hope
IM SHOOK
This one spoke straight into my very soul 😖 I heard the voice of all those who love me in this. Andrew Scott is simply magnificent .
oh my goodness you are such a wonderful fan.....❣️
I came because of Andrew Scott, I stayed because of the letter. Turn out I actually needed to hear this...
"you don't have to justify your work, not even to yourself." I think that's the most important lesson to start making art.
This is the best version, read, and emotions live letter by far.
It's official, there's nothing this man can do wrong.. he should be giving speeches to the masses!.. and also, keep performing, forever and ever.
Also, it sounds - though very vaguely - like something a good boss once said to me. Good advice
I keep coming back to this rendition of Andrew's since my undergraduate years.. and now I'm working on my masters thesis and it still does it for me in terms of motivation... his version is the best.. changed my life
Also I listen to this every time I'm drawing or reading, it's so inspiring and Andrew's voice and confidence is unbelievable! I am so happy to cherish this man's pureness and beauty, I just love this so much❤
One of my favorite letters...
the best Irish actor of all time
Have u met him yet ?
Don’t forget Cillian Murphy.
He is so brilliant it is almost difficult to breath drawn in by his energy, emotion and Eros. Not to mention no trace of that beautiful Irish accent. However He is mesmerising. My fellow Libra.
17 E. 64th Street near 5th Avenue........ LOL I grew up at 450 E. 63rd at the East River just at the time of these letters. End 1965 beginning 1966 I worked on 3rd Avenue just a few streets from the gallery. Hmmmm
However, I do find the captions flashing constantly of all his words terribly enervating. His face and actions are diminished and they are vital to the entire performance. Not sure why Nowness chose this. cheers.
I've only seen the Cumberbatch version before. This is the one, though. Hesse and LeWitt were dear friends, and they influenced each other, even beyond Hesse's death from a brain tumor at 34. LeWitt's cranky tenderness and belief in Hesse's work radiates from Scott's performance.
How are you doing
he's so good at public speaking, oh my 😍
This is the one video that I come back to over again and again whenever I feel down or unmotivated. I love it the way Andrew reads it. It feels like he's talking to me.
OK IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO REMEMBER THIS EVEN SLIGHTLY, DO NOT WRITE IT DOWN. IT TOOK ME AN HOUR AND A HALF.
Rainbowdash6DoesMC I'm still going to write it down 😂
Rainbowdash6DoesMC could u type it up in the comments?
Just get it from Google.
There's another video that gives you a link to download the letter and the Benedict's version. The channel is English Speeches
Brilliantly given. Andrew you really are the best. Thank you
Both sherlock and Moriarty have read this letter and both Benedict and Andrew did it amazingly
I came here from Cumberbatch's version and I find incredible how both are different. On Cumberbatch's I was moved by the letter, by the words in on themself. With Scott what moves me is something deeper, something that comes from the emotion, by the performance. I loved both, but this one cut deeper, for me at least.
i am learning it by heart. Yes i know, im crazy. But its a challenge Im doing for myself and i'll read it out too :)
finally someone like me
Ok this is a weird idea but I'm doing it too 😂
go for it ! :)
Maeva Jillson I wan't to do it too ! ( It's will je very hard because I'm french and I don't understand all haha, but it's the challenge )
hey Léna I'm french too haha :p I made it so you can do it ! ;)
That's a damn good read and definitely something to remember in the future.
Yeah, I like this version a lot better. It felt like he was actually talking to a friend. the tone of the letter really came out. We can see the writing, meaning we can see what parts of the letter, that were meant to be in bold while others in monotone. It's the way we actually speak to our friends. I really felt like he was reading this to a good friend and giving them some good advice.
It's funny, most of the comments talk about the performance, comparing to Benedict's one to this. What about the content? This letter is epic! It's a piece of art in its own right. Maybe that's what Sol was actually doing here? I know some of his artwork actually exists as just written concepts on paper, no tangible artwork as such. What was Eva Hesse's response? Did it help her see clarity or did it just drill her down deeper into the hole she had already dug? Overall I think we all need a friend like Sol, someone to tell us the real shit that's important in life.
Moriarty yelling some random shit
and stuff
I love him more now...amazing actor 😍😍😍😘😘
His speech is so powerful, such wonderful actor.
This is good against procrastination
I'm replaying this over and over oof
'Practice being dumb and unthinking so that you can just do' I gotta take that advice omg
I make myself watch this every time I need a motivational pick-me-up. Damned if it doesn't work wonders.
It gets me everytime
That one unlike is Mycroft Holmes.
Oh my. I don't know why I find Andrew swearing so much amusing.
Professor Reichenbach cuz he is an innocent puppy XD
I have no words, he's incredible
fucking hell, thats's amazing!
Is this letter included in any of the Letters of Note books? Would love to have a written copy! Cheers
I can't say how much I love this video!
I see him I hit like. It's like a disease.
Ushasee it is a disease
Furqan Ahmed Indeed! What to do!
“Maybe you need your agony to accomplish what you do” God so true
I cry soo hard thank you andrew scott for motivating me and be there 🙏😭❤
this is so inspiring! and empowering! it brings me hope!
I love love love this letter! Each time I listen to it I go to do smth)) anything)
I literally had trouble breathing for him when he recited all those words 😂 So intense ❤️🔥
More inspiring than anything I have heard to date. Perfect delivery.
Have you seen Benedict’s?
@@moxiepeterson4182 Not yet, no. But I am sure it's very good, too!
@@corvuscorone7735 you should! They are both very good
This was brilliant!
Moriaty is angry lol
1.25- 1.26. The Do he said reminded me a little of when he played Jim Moriarty. The pool scene.
Happy Birthday Andrew Scott... and yeah, i needed this today
This is a big help today, thank you.
This was... powerful.... thank you...
I just love his voice!
I wish I had his confidence.
이세상 목소리가 아니야... 발음 개멋져 흐아아아아ㅏ악 ㅅㅔ상에 한글자막 달아주신분 사랑합니다....적게일하고 많이 버세요....

i love to rewatch it over and over when i have no powers to do smth and thats just helps me all the time
I just can't...
why the fuck is he so perfect?!
I'm crying!!! He's so fucking perfect!!!
Why the hell isn't he mine?!
He's such an good actor... oh, what am I saying? He's such an perfect actor! I don't care, I said perfect about ten times... The power in his voice... The look in his eyes... (a little bit psycho, just like Moriarty)... his slicked back (but still a bit fluffy) hair... I can't say it enough... He's perfect! The perfect personification of the perfect perfection... *I Love you, Andrew!!!*
As soon as he said the first line, I remembered my best friend reciting this and thought, "Oh, that's where it came from!" XD Truly beautiful!
I'm speachless.
Moriarty
Clube das Duas yes?
That "Do" made me jump just like when Moriarty said "That's what people DO"
It was.... wonderful... I love him.
that was brilliant ! :D
