Hey yogis, hope you're ready to increase your lower body flexibility! This is a 15 minute slow flow deep stretch class that will open up your hips. This is great for the legs in general, we'll explore poses that stretch out the glutes, thighs, quads and hamstrings. No props are required!
This is suitable for all levels but some of the poses might need to be modified if you're just starting out. The key to increasing flexibility is to be very consistent. A little bit of yoga everyday is better than a long practice every once in while!

Hi Kassandra, i a am 66yrs old man who trained in martial arts before I went to live and work in India for 20yrs and i studied yoga there I find they blend well. I have recently started Karate and following your hip opening routine has helped me greatly, I achieved a 3rd dan in TKD but that was 20yrs ago. My daily yoga has helped my karate greatly thanks, sister!

Love your videos. This hip opener was great. I like how you demonstrate very well with your skill and ability, and how you do not begin by speaking for 7-8 minutes on what we will do or about a move or a philosophy. Once we have a feel of the theory, we just want to get going before getting on with our day.
I love animals, but I am also glad that you do not waste time chasing after a pet or stop to cuddle and pet them for a couple of minutes while we wait.

Thank you so much for sharing this! My hips are always tight despite a lot of stretching. Normally I work at a desk all day so it makes everything tighter and sore but working at home during covid sitting at home all day has been stressful and these short sessions make it easier for me to get up and do yoga. I appreciate your videos and intend to try more :)

First off, I've been doing these videos for the last couple of weeks on a regular basis, last week I still couldn't reach back to grab my ankles in pigeon pose. This morning I did it!

I got dropped from 7 feet ontop my rump in 2018, I herniated two discs and bruised several others. Because of the pain I developed an anterior pelvic tilt to alleviate the pain. Because of this I completely threw everything else out of whack. This is the first yoga session that I have come across that has done anything for this chronic pain.

Whoa great hip stretches. I really liked the extra stretch after pigeon pose to just stretch. I chose not to bend my leg and just stretch up hands on the ground. That was a nice extra. Thank you.
