    🙂👍🏽. Top tip for those that give it a go - patients will give great results. Everyone’s first pour might not be as expected 😝

    Great video bud! I have debated to start pouring myself, but it is a little daunting. Even after watching years of others doing it lol... Looking forward to part 2.

    Thanks for this! I love your pouring videos, especially those that really explain the process. If I ever wind up getting a furnace and giving this a try, it will be partially your fault--er--I mean, thanks to your inspiration! ;-)

    More and more people start pouring and selling silver items. Most don‘t care about legal requirements at all and sell silver items that are not hallmarked. Great video. 👍

      Yeah, there are a lot that do this the wrong way and it is not the way one should do business.

    Really nice piece of work there, great ripple pattern. The ripples make them so unique it's just impossible to get two the same 👍

    Could be interesting to show a video of all the bloopers that you may make during the recording of your videos. If only to show the life of a silver pourer isn't all glitter and glamour. ;)

    Awesome piece and a very cool and informative video! How do you cut up and reuse the big star that you rejected?

    • @BackyardBullion
      @BackyardBullion  Před 3 lety

      Glad you liked it :-) I have a very large pair of Bolt Cutters which chops up the rejected star into small pieces that can fit back into the furnace!

    Seeing your bare hand right next to that cylindrical mould, after using it to pour molten metal under a blowtorch. Made me wince a little bit.

    You recommended starting with a furnace, but if I've already gotten started with using a torch (smith little torch) would there be much of a reason to upgrade to a furnace? Love your videos. Thanks for doing these

    I love ur videos and I am just curious about pouring sterling silver stuff I just started and it doesn't seem to stay hot long while I try to pour and I like ur tongs better than mine where did u get them

    Great tips! What can you do with the scraps?

    • @BackyardBullion
      @BackyardBullion  Před 3 lety +1

      You can melt them down again, the graphite in there will come out, you can just clean it off - I tend to save it up for a 3d piece where I chop off the top part anyway, its still pure silver!

    Hello BYB .. can we just melt the silver in the graphite mold rather than using crucible? Just curious question 😊
