      Each decade billions of people added to the population. Connected more now than ever through the Internet. If we continue this way the world will be one giant metropolis with a lot of extremes in the class gap. Sending some to Mars ain't such a bad idea.

    • @emmiannon1266
      @emmiannon1266 Před měsícem

      @@heisenburg8608 Only that we cant get individuals there yet, let alone billions, theres no usable atmosphere, bad gravity, no megnetasphere, the tech to create and atmosphere or magnetasphere not existing in any form yet and unlikley to for a long time, not enough sunlight, the dust would be very harmful for our lungs, and there would be no way to help them in an emergency.
      Mars isnt another earthly landmass, this isnt like the colonisations of old where we occupied habitable areas, most of which already populated, this is a different beast all together with so many obsticles in the way that it is pretty much impossible with our current tech and will continue to be for decades if not centuries to come.
      So yes, we have no other planet to go to, we need to keep earth alive and well as it will be the only home for humanity for a very very long time yet.

    I find it simply incredible how our quarrels and matters appear to be impressively big when we consider our own lives, but also how they prove to be so small and insignificant when we take a look at how complex our planet is.

    Seriously -- wonderful film you put together! One thing about the moon and life on our planet: it has a stabilizing effect on Earth's rotation. Without it, the Earth would be more prone to wobble over time on its axis producing an unfriendly polar climate anywhere that would damage evolutionary pace. Even though some species could adapt, most would certainly suffer from being plunged into an unscheduled ice-age from time to time.
