Freezing temps, coming up short, keeping the slope even and leaving knowing it's gonna be right freezing over night - 35 years experience just emanates from you. I do remember one job where you came back at night because you knew you couldn't sleep until that problem was taken care of. I do hope Tom and Steven also learn how to deal w the stress of running the business as well as you. I'm a big fan of aggregate concrete, just beautiful. This was a pretty big job and it went so smoothly! Kudos to you and your crew. The finished work looked awesome. Thanks for sharing w us Tom!👌👍❤
Love the exposed agg. Still very popular here in Australia. Great job as always. When you had the patio on time lapse you really can see what an efficient team you have. Thanks for sharing, love your vids 👍
Beautiful job! Great working together crew! I love watching the Hauses in the morning 🌞 with my first cup of coffee ☕️! 🫶🫶🫶
Fantastic video! You all work strong and hard, like a “well oiled machine”. You are not simply throwing concrete down, your work is always perfectly calculated and well thought out. Strong work everyone, as always!
You men work so well together, to get it done!
Another beautiful job by Tom and his sons and crew. Tom, you and your team always make your work look so easy and the outcome is always great. Great video and easy to follow all the stages of your job.👍👍👍
Love the videos. My Dad, RIP, worked as a concrete manager for many years. I was contracting sidewalks, driveways, and street repairs for the City where i live, many years ago. We went from Calcium Chloride granules to ligiid High early.
Brings back memories for sure. Heard about you guys from Mike Morgan, Outdoors with the Morgans. Great family, cannot wait until you guys, if you can, pour slab for Mikes and Melissa's Cabin in WV. Thank You for binging us along on the adventures. I noticed they have a lot of new chemicals to use, and they work great. The exposed AGG is really nice ..ty from SE Texas Bear
Thanks for sharing. I really do enjoy reading these kind of comments
Tom, Lot's of good explanations in this video. Thank you for sharing that additional detail!
Great looking concrete. That's a nice look, the exposed aggregate. The process explanation is good also. Stay safe.
Nice! I love your eye for details Tom, Steve & crew.....Greetings from the old jarhead in WNC
Another outstanding job. Always enjoyable watching you guys work from my nice warm comfortable chair.
AMEN
Another great video. Top notch work and the care you put into each of these jobs show.
You guys do great work, I love the videos and always look forward to the new ones
You and your crew are true professionals. Thank you God bless you all.
Great shot with the cam on the float. I wish more people put this much care into their work.
Looks terrific, as usual, great job!!!
too funny when Steve said that the most Pittsburgh thing you say, Hasss!!!!!! you and Mike Morgan talk the same! You say At instead of out!!Lol!!! Keep on Rockin!!!!! Good video!! reminds me of the times we used to do a ton of flatwork!
It’s funny that you never think about yourself having an accent until you hear yourself talk hahaha thanks for watching!
So soothing to watch!!! Beautiful finished product!!!
Saw your work with @Outdoors with the Morgans! great job there and a real fine job here also! Mike talks about all the different jobs you do down there in Pennsylvania, so came here and subscribed while I was checking out some of your content! We were born raised and still live in my great state of Alaska! We mainly have gravel roads here only the main roads can afford the HUGE upkeep of them!
Thanks for joining us
Great video. The instruction that was given about how to take the strain off the back while floating invoked the memory of a drill sergeant whose experience during his tenure, that he tried to pass on to those of us who not a clue did not have in being prepared for the unexpected, but later found out the experience and lesson learned provided a much needed respite from pain and misery. Your experiences and those actions by the ones you have taught the trade will be carried forward and applied in years to come. They too will be thankful for the lessons learned and the pain and misery they did not have to endure.
nice job you changed your mind on the cuts on the patio.i like it on the side of the doors
All Steve
Thanks for the tips! I will be sure to use them.
The exposed aggregate looks Great another terrific job.
Steve..."30 years of being told to hurry up"....Tom..."you haven't done the cuts".... son's typical response to dad and dad's retort...made my day.
First it was too fast, and then he switched it to not fast enough!! I can never win but at least it’s always documented now hahahaha thanks for watching!
@@GunpowderandFreedom Indeed it is now documented....TSH Concrete will be in good safe hands with you (and team)....repeat the mantra...."slow and flat"....☺️👍
That exposed look s the bomb. Super nice job. Cheers
Another fantastic job by Yinz guys
Thanks for sharing
Sleep y’all on the next one
Stay safe
Have a Day
I'm sure your cleaning is from much experience, great crew ,great video Tom and Steve
Yup, I missed a few spots on a fence one time and I will never let that happen again. Thanks for watching!
That driveway is great job. Well done to the whole crew

Excellent work!!
Thirty years of "Hurry Up." I know the feeling.
I can never win hahaha

Great teamwork. Years of experience. 👍

really finishing the backyard floor was an excellent job!!!! How great it would be to work with you! they make a great team!! Here in Mexico those more rustic jobs are done and the finishes are not so perfect! and it is more expensive and difficult! I love your work brother! Greetings to you and your entire team! from Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico!
Thanks greetings to you
Nice work guys 👍
Like the new product looks like it is going to save you and the crew a lot of work. and by the way. Steve makes a good cameraman. Another.project perfectly done.

That looks like a great exposed mix.
great Job steve
Thanks!
beautiful job ! well done Guys
Great job.
Another great job
Beautiful workmanship amazing 👏
Thank you very much!
Impeccable work 👏
Outside of stamping exposed aggregate is my favorite
There is still a hint of blue on the bottom of the Stone, concrete looks great though.
You notice that’s a high pressure washer and he was working at it.
awesome job
Nice work guys 👦 👏 👍
Wow! A powerwasher we never used more than hose pressure with a soft broom
Steve Great job, Tom you did well, but after 30 years of tell him it paid off or its rubbing off on him, Steve I like the way you explained how you wash the cream off and why, I do like the Exposed Aggregate, and that there Blue Stuff works petty good too. Stay Safe, Have Fun, and see you on the next one.
Thank you very much!
Very very nice job your guy’s!!!!
First time watching,nice job
Thanks
That was a pretty nice looking color
Nice job
When the client wants a pool but hires a concrete company instead. 😉
Now that was a real cool ride.
Calcium is corrosive to metal. We pour With a non-Calcium Additive for winter time when using wire or rebar. I’m sure it’s good with fiberglass.
Nice job.
I have too try it
Great video! This is my second time watching this episode as "this aggregate" really intrigues me. Is this done for the look, or is it for a "non-slip" reason?
Auto shoot swing from driver is cool. Never had that pouring walls.
I ALWAYS LOVE THE ,,BROOM,, FINISH..SO NATURAL..☆☆☆☆☆
Excelente y bellísimo trabajo saludos 👊👊👊🙏🙏🙏
Could you guys touch on the cost difference of exposed aggregate? Is it twice as much as the regular or...? Pardon my ignorance! Love the videos and the top notch work thank you for sharing
I charge 40 to 50% more for exposed aggregate than plain concrete
30° and you wear shorts? Steve can do it all; finish, power wash, video, etc. Love your work and videos.
I try my best to help where I can! Thanks for watching!
As usual a great crew, and vedio. Really like curb, keeps the cars and water out of the flowers. How many times have you got concrete on your back side. 😆
Everyday
I use Brown sugar on exposed aggregate here in Ireland and it works Good you just mix it with water and spray it on and wash it off
We used white sugar one time and it exposed it about an inch deep.we had a mess I’ve never tried brown sugar
good work as always. just curious why put curing sealer on in this time of the year when its cold?
If I recall, was about a month before frost
great job Guy's
Good job it's not a DIY job for sure been doing concrete wk 40 years & still love doing it I remember when we used to seed exposed & was the same day.
That’s how we did our first one 35 years ago
I think as I haven't read but one comment... all know your knowledge and dedication for precise work, leaving a advertisement of what you are capable of doing. I do have some limited work in cement, after it hurt me bad, I kept with my diesel mechanicing. I know its not real in most peoples thinking but good cement workers make every bit as much as other professions. I am curious if you have done the "fake wall of rock look off of steep slopes to give it a look of smooth stone instead of weeds and water run offs.?
No we haven’t
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL JOB GUYS ‼️‼️👍. Vinny 🇺🇸
The mixer driver is working harder than anybody
"Dawn the hill" reminds me of my cousin and uncle from Pittsburg.
Tom how do you get that relief cut right up to the house with your saw ?. Nice job as always 👏
I use a cordless grinder to finish
Ferfect job is been a long time I don’t see a good job especially on this times 👍 can you used that retarter in summer to help drying evenly?
No there’s different products for that
Ok thank you for the note! keep up the nice job
Good cor
I used surface retarder on half a driveway a few weeks ago diy project. Blue too. It makes a hell of a mess but we got it off with garden hose / brush after 90 minutes from application. The afterspray hit the preexisting concrete and wouldn't come off so we were forced to use a pressure washer the next day. My first time pouring concrete on a slope, never ordering concrete that wet on a slope again.
90 minutes that’s pretty fast
Craftsmanship at its finest.
Thats bad ass your pulling it by your self
I noticed that the final cuts didn't coincide with your initial description, you said that they would be coming from the center of the doors and corner of the house, so it would be in quarters. Also, what do you use alongside the house for expansion and contraction? Looks great, love that exposed aggregate.
Steve had something else in mind it work to
I like the walkway look more then a crack straight down the middle.
Great work! Have you had any mishaps where someone or something walks on your work before it cures?
Yes kids and dogs mostly
I have never done concrete but is the rebar not supposed to be propped up about an inch or 2 so as to strengthen the concrete. It was sitting flat on the ground of the base stone. I mean I know the pick ut up a little bit as they go but then 4 hefty guys step on it pushing it back down as they start scraping it.
What size of aggregates is used to give a better exposed surface after power washing?
I wana know about that sprayer, do u have an extension pole?
Funny you should ask. Wait until you see upcoming video I think you’ll like it.
@Concretewiththehauses I will Def tap in, my shorts have been doing well and I thought about talking about this, I have seen a short extension b4 but it leaked everywhere and I have it, yours looked decent
做的效果质量真好
I think 17 times washing the house and concrete work is a good number just kidding but your right it does make a mess great video
nice job!!! could i get more info on the blue product please, thank you
We have one coming up in a few days
@@Concretewiththehauses thank you
Спасибо за ваш канал! Подскажите пожалуйста, какой фракции щебень используется для бетона? Сколько м2 за день можете принять и обработать ?
can someone tell me if this exp. agg product has n advantage over sugar water?
Would you do the same setup with the brake lines when poring a slab that will have vehicles, vehicle lift installed and tractors driven on it? Its for a 30x60 building.
Yes
Still see some blue on the walls, you really should have covered the walls. Concrete looks great though.
Would one of those circular surface pressure washer attachments work faster? We used one on our deck this year, and it kept the mess down quite a bit.
We use it on sidewalks a patio you have to push the product too far
Where I'm at we use a pink surface retarder. Actually had a home owner freakout because she didn't want pink concrete.
Funny
follow your dads foot steps and you will not go wrong fantastic work as always
Where’s your adobe blocks to keep rebar up?
Liiks awesome what was the name of the blue stuff
Lithocast
Tom my name is Carmen Barone ( Carmen Barone and sons Inc ) my father started our concrete business 50 years ago we are a family business also 4 brothers 2 sons we do mostly commercial work around the Pittsburgh area I have been watching you clips for a while you guys do it the right way if you don’t mind me asking what kind of retarter did you use the blue stuff we do a ton of exposed I typically like to let concrete set up pretty tight and then spray to try not to get a deep etch, there seems to be a shortage on everything these days… keep up the great work
Lithocast 15 from scofield
Awesome job. What kind of product is it. Is it available here in canada. 🤝👍
Litho-cast
@@Concretewiththehauses thank you so much. Really enjoy watching your videos n work 👍🤝
Do you do bundled fiber in that application? Used to twist fiber and package it.
Micro
That exposed aggregate looks awesome! Care to share some tips with an amateur? I’m looking to do some yard curbing with quickrete. Could I get a similar finish with a surface retarder on quickrete? At what point would I apply it? I have some retarder arriving in a few days that looks to be the same color as that.
I have never exposed QuickCree do a small sample area make sure it’s a gravel mix and not a lime stone mix you may get better results if you order one yard from your local supplier he may even be able to send you out somebody’s leftovers if that would be an option finish the Conccrete apply the retarder as soon as you’re done edging some products have to cover up make sure you use black plastic rather than clear plastic keep me posted how it goes thanks
@@Concretewiththehauses thanks for your reply!
