Believe it or not, you gave me the courage to do this in Nigeria. Only company doing exposed there right now. We don't always have access to concrete additives and brands so have to go old school a lot. Most of my work is on IG though. But great thanks to guys like you!

Always nice to see the concrete ninja doing his thing! :)
At my work (precast concrete) we roll on the retardant chemicals onto the form before placing the rebar and other components. After pouring and curing we lift the item off the form, and wash off all the loose cement, exposing the aggregate.
We need to scrape and oil the forms immediately though, since there will be a lot of semi-hardened slag left after the item is hoisted off.

Nice video! Will acid get the concrete to come off the next day if the concrete hardened before you could spray?

Always good videos. Back in the eighties I was a apprentice plumber and saw a Māori gang of concreters doing a slab at a high school, halfway through the pour two brothers decided to have a fist fight . By the end of the day troweling off, all happy and drinking beers.

Rugasol probably a better product, they make it for different temperatures and cure windows, that makes it easier to get a consistent finish vs sugar mix. Also can we just appreciate the taper on that existing slab, solid craftsmanship.

If you have an oversized exposed agg and when it comes to spraying sugar how do you reach the "hard to reach places" if you cant walk on it at the time of spraying? I couldnt find any videos covering that...thanks ninja!
