2:22 Actually, the red car should have moved over to the left lane as they were passing the exit before theirs, not cut across from the outside lane (passing over the dotted white lines) into the path of the lorry at the last possible moment.
Yes lorry could have used outside lane, but it was probably taking the next exit & being heavy and slow, it is not easy to change lanes on roundabouts as knobbers quite often do not let them move across as they do not want to get stuck behind them.

Such 'cutting exits' are possible, but it's your own responsibility to make sure that traffic which has priority isn't hindered. Red car was clearly wrong.
The inside lane is ussually quickest in Britain as people rarely use it, but every once in a while you end up next to someone and you have to go around. It happens. Win time 95% of the time, lose a tiny bit of time in the remaining 5%. Go around and do it again.

The thing is council screwed that up so bad, most drivers will be 100% certain that if you exit left, the sign says yield to traffic from the right, while the road continues to the right and obviously has priority over exiting traffic like the van. It's only when you're on top of it that you can see the remains of what must've once been the triangle to set up a yield situation.
But even someone seeing that will probably conclude it was erased deliberately and they have priority, it's that far erased.
Don't argue this sort of stuff. We have enough crashes due to slow indecisive and insecure drivers already without you argueing people should crawl across any intersection they don't know.

The cutting across the lane to exit the roundabout seems to be a common cause of collision. I think the confusion lies with the fact that not all roundabouts have the same lane set-up: most you enter the left to go left or straight on, ofc; but then you get those that the left lane is only for turning left - a lot of drivers seem to cut across from the right lane onto that one. Truck driver here, want to weigh in on the red car in the roundabout issue. Lorry drivers will often use the left most lane or a lane left of what is marked for the route since we are #1 Slow and by staying left we allow traffic to flow through the inside of the roundabout.
#2 The tighter we turn the more space we take up. On the inside lanes of roundabouts we often occupy 2 lanes because of the vehicle size.
This is specifically permitted by the highway code. We are required by it to be aware and give space and respect to other more vulnerable vehicles but a lot of drivers think this means we must bend to their will. In reality we should all be aware of the vehicles around us and try to think about and consider how different vehicles maneuver.

The only thing they can do with the signage is put up an advanced warning sign further down the road, which they have done, it's on the right at the start of the footage. Whilst this is nit the normal location for signs, it is there to allow approaching drivers to see the sign.
As for the signage on the road, this should be the last thing the driver is looking at. Their eyes should be up and looking at the road ahead and any traffic they will come into conflict with. Yes it's a bit faded but not too badly, I've seen worse.

Road markings clearly show the Fiesta's path is the continuation of the road, so lacking other signage (I don't see a yield line and the triangle is near non-existant) Fiesta has right of way.
The main outcome is the council needs to pay for whoever is held liable though, whether the insurance argues the faded/old/former situation of the Fiesta needing to yield, or the visible situation of the van needing to yield counts.

Nothing wrong with where that lorry was on the roundabout. You can clearly see the lane carrying on round rather than it being a dedicated lane going off. Left is best for a lorry where possible - saves it having to try and cross over from the right to exit a roundabout. Much safer for everyone for it to be in the left lane (unless, of course, they're planning to go all the way round the roundabout). For all we know, the lorry could have just entered the roundabout and was going straight over it - this is possible because there are clearly more than 4 exits on this roundabout so the second exit isn't necessarily straight on. Even if he was going right, many roundabouts have signage telling you to use both lanes to go right. I drive over roundabouts like that all the time. Also, regardless of what the lorry was doing, the red car just forced his way without checking first to see if the lorry was indicating off. As he wasn't, he should've let the lorry pass before attempting to exit, even if he was in the wrong lane. He can't argue with a vehicle that size 😆. That's on the red car driver, not the lorry driver. (Also, that other car in the other truck's blindspot is the car's fault for hanging around where the lorry driver is unable to see them. However, shame on that lorry driver for not stopping. Very unprofessional. I would've at least stopped to have given the car driver a bollocking 😆.)
