Another amazing piece I have to get off my butt and start painting ! I got the Gerald Mendez stencils and they are amazing but I wish they were Mylar like the AIRSHOT stencil my airshot stencil will out last all my painting as wear the Mendez fold and are very delicate! If your a first time viewer you found the BEST AIRBRUSH artist in CZcams !

Amazing,love your videos is very inspiring.question did you reduced the air presure or thiner the paint to airbrushed lso smooth.i do some but i can do so presaly and so close i get sprated.
Thanks for your comment and glad you enjoyed the video , I usually use a ratio of 1:1 equal parts paint and reducer for general airbrushing at 30psi and 30% paint and 70% reducer for detailed airbrushing at around 18-20psi hope that helps 👍🏻
@@AirbrushAsylum do you think that kind of reduction would work on a solid surface as well (obviously being even more careful) or strictly for canvas and other porous materials?
Is the iwata custom micron plus worth the money. I have a bunch of airbrushes the H&S chameleon being my favorite is the iwata better in your professional opinion? It’s a lot of $ which I am willing to spend if worth it. Thank you in advance !! 🔥😎
I have a question cretex came out with iridescent paint have you ever used that kind of paint ? I’m really gunshy with those kinds of paints like what size nozzle would you use and I have to tell you I started painting the conjuring demon THE NUN and I am having a ton of problems constant clogging of paint which is brand new and the other night my nozzle kept allowing bubbles in my cup so I replaced my nozzle on my Iwata eclipse this painting is cursed my daughter said lol have you seen the movie ??
Hey Marc, no I haven’t seen the movie but your daughter may be right lol … I have used Createx iridescent paints years and years ago, they atomize well and I would suggest to run them in a 0.5mm airbrush that said they will still flow through a smaller nozzle but you may experience more clogging . Hope that helps 👍🏻

I kinda figured to use the wider nozzle so I’ll switch my eclipse over to a .5 nozzle and needle thank you my friend oh I got a AIRSHOT REAPER 10 stencil I’m so excited to try and do it the way you did yours with Fluor green ! And grunge with the green glow ! It will be here tomorrow I was so lucky to find it !! I’ll post it to my channel when I’m done I literally have your video step by step from paynes grey under coat to the transparent black ! Thanks again !my friend Marc
Hey buddy I gotta tell you what happened last night ! I started painting the reaper 10 and I put a new nozzle in my eclipse cause I kept gettin bubbles in my cup so I thought that was it so I start and it starts sputtering AGAIN I look and the cup is FILLED WITH BUBBLES ! I was ready to quit forever I literally had a meltdown so I rip down the gun seriously everyone said if you clean your gun the Iwata is the best !! So i believed it and not only got an eclipse but got a micron also and brother I was ready to post them and sell them for $10 !! So I clean everything and literally you can see my face in the cup and I look at the needle there is a little black spot on the tip but here the needle had a small bend at the end the human eye would never catch it but if you run the needle down a scottowel and you could feel the needle snag the towel on the way down so as a last resort I put a new needle in and it works amazing I literally just touch the trigger and I get paint I can do fine lines and it ran amazing so that little micro snag was causing air bubbles in the cup! So thought you’d get a laugh out of that ! So tell your viewers about watch for micro snags on the needle end and just run it down a Scott towel and you’ll feel it snag on the way through! I think I bent it when I was picking paint off with my nail! Cheers buddy Marc
Thanks for sharing and I agree that can definitely be frustrating 🤦🏼 Usually I have found that a slight imperfection in the iwata needles usually doesn't cause bubbling but generally just an inconsistent spray pattern ? Generally a split or flared nozzle can cause bubbling, but usually it is caused by an unsealed thread. That said I am glad you got it fixed, you may want to look into a sharpenair as you should be able to rescue the micron needle if it has a slight hook in it ? Thanks again for sharing and hope you are back enjoying your airbrushing 🤩

I’m using trident colours in this one , they are not transparent but I can use trans base to mimic transparent colours …if you want to use transparent colours then I can recommend Createx illustration colors 👌🏻

what kind of reduction and psi were you running for the transparent black? Seems like you weren't even getting tip dry/wiping!
Generally for fine detail and minimal tip drying I use the following ratio 30% paint & 70% reducer 👌🏻

I still use an old school overhead projector ..lol..but plan on testing some of the newer digital projectors from Amazon 👍🏻
