  • I got my hands on some awesome ultralight camping gear on aliexpress which I wanted to share with you! This is a tyvek bivvy from 3f ul gear. It is the same sort of material they use under roofing tiles. It is breathable and waterproof. Someone has pointed out to me that the zip is not seam sealed on this model but I'll certainly be putting it to the test camping out in it soon. Hope you enjoy this camping gear haul which should be perfect for the summer.

    Tyvek is also used for coveralls used for spray painting and asbestos removal. These coveralls are not breathable so you sweat like hell in them. They are also hard to rip so better than other coveralls. I know as I'm an asbestos analyst/surveyor. Still have a few of the tyvek coveralls. Great as a survival tool instead of a blanket as they have elasticated cuffs and a hood. Just though I'd let you know of other uses as well as roofing. Great vid and I love aliexpress for stuff!

    Well this was a very thorough and informative video... Nice one Adam. AliExpress is good for most things but I highly recommend you don't buy knives from them. I ordered 3 from different sellers on the site and none arrived... I couldn't get a refund as I received a letter from border force saying they had been confiscated as the sellers lie about what's in the package i.e. they said on the package that it was metal pliers. If i want to contest it then I have to go to court. Have a great weekend fella.

    • @MrWildWales
      @MrWildWales  Před 3 lety

      Ah right thanks for the info on that. Actually I've seen some pretty dodgy things on there like a ring with a hidden knife in it. Would defo be illegal in this country I'd say so have to be careful what gets ordered

    Did you ever test the bivvy out? I’m torn between this and the sol escape bivvy. Looking to add a couple of degrees to my winter setup. This looks plenty big enough to fit my quilt in but not sure how much warmth it adds. The sol looks warmer but doesn’t look any where near as big.

    • @MrWildWales
      @MrWildWales  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I did it quite a few times just for added warmth. Bivvy bags are not normally my thing though. I can't see it being that waterproof but it's good for extra warmth
