Great vid. As someone who started with Awakening, 3H is definitely a great entry point. Surprised your friend made you start with Black Eagles though, I think the Flame Emperor twist is somewhat spoiled in that route. I'd always recommend a Golden Deer start because you finish with the "true baddies" and you get arguably the most backstory.

I’d argue that blue lions is the best start because it has the most connection to the plot of earlygame and a more accessible and interesting method of storytelling (by being significantly more character based of a story)

If you wanna continue with the series, I’d recommend Path of Radiance on the GameCube. It lacks some of the accessibility that 3H and the 3ds titles have, but IMO it has the best story out of the FE I’ve played.
The only thing is you’ll probably need to pirate it ‘cause the game is ridiculously expensive and Nintendo isn’t doing us any favors with making the GameCube’s library more accessible.
Or if you want to try other tactical RPGs try Final Fantasy Tactics. It’s the best of its genre IMO and one of my favorite games of all time. And you can play it on your phone lol.

Hope you're still enjoying it, 3 Houses is one of my favorite games of all time. I recently played Fire Emblem Echoes and it's become my other favorite FE game. Better in some ways, worse in others, but the only other one with voice acting!
