Two Ways to Tie a Slipknot

Everyone has their own method of tying a slipknot, but did you know that how you hold the yarn can determine how the knot tightens? I'll show you a slipknot that tightens with the working yarn (good for crocheting in rows) and one that tightens with the tail (good for starting a crochet toy or doily in the round). Use your own method, or mine, but swap the tail and working yarn and try it for yourself.
